Chapter 5: Suspicious Kenny

While Kabir and Wilma quickly warmed up to Louie Duck, Kenny Kyle, the anthropomorphic crane wasn’t so certain about Louie’s true intentions. He almost had a sixth sense altogether, that was the entire reason why Kenny joined the Chaos Insurgency. As Kabir and Wilma headed off to do their own chores for the Chaos Insurgency in preparing for the raid of St. Canard’s SCP Foundation site, Kenny was the sole one refusing to embrace Louie outright.

“I don’t know what your game is” said Kenny as he hovered over Louie as he swallowed, “but whatever it is, I am keeping an eye on you.”

Those remarks by Kenny left an impression on Louie that not everyone would be fooled by his charm. He needed to be more careful around someone like him. He was hopeful that Lena was doing better than him in terms of being around with Drake and Gosalyn. The scene switches to Drake’s Darkwing Duck lair in St. Canard’s bridge.

“Looks like Louie made it safely,” said Lena.

Gosalyn was starting to get suspicious to why Lena was so concerned, she knew of Louie’s dishonest past with his own family and how he nearly got all of Scrooge McDuck’s money aside from the villains he formerly fought against.

“You seem to care a little bit too much about him” said Gosalyn.

“What do you mean by that?” asked Lena as she became defensive.

“I have noticed odd body language between you and Louie” continued Gosalyn.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“That, that means nothing” said Lena as she was downplaying it.

“Oh, but it means everything” said Gosalyn.

Before Gosalyn could go any further, Drake was reporting directly to Ricky Raven the director of the St. Canard SCP Foundation site. The anthropomorphic raven was quite intrigued with Drake now dawning his Darkwing Duck uniform.

“Ah, I am always fond of the color purple,” laughed Ricky.

“Really, you like it?” asked Drake.

“Yes, I wish the rest of the Foundation had a similar taste but oh well” laughed Ricky, “has Louie made it safely towards the docks?”

“Yes” replied Drake, “we gave him a hand glider, where he was sent down to the docks.”

“Very good, with his skills he should figure out who this mysterious 05-Council member could be,” said Ricky.

Ricky was onto something, Kabir was busy meeting with the mysterious 05-Council member, an anthropomorphic bald eagle – Rupert Masters. Rupert had been pulling the strings of the Chaos Insurgency in terms of always getting SCP Foundation members to do the bidding of the Chaos Insurgency. The Chaos Insurgency wasn’t just run by Rupert, but a few other 05-Council members in case if they were ever exposed. Kabir was meeting Rupert through a secretive computer monitor around the docks.

“Louie Duck has decided to join the Chaos Insurgency sir,” said Kabir.

Rupert was skeptical similarly how Kenny felt about Louie. But perhaps Louie would be useful if he stayed.

“Very good, having a McDuck family member in our ranks would make the Chaos Insurgency all the more invincible,” said Rupert.

“And the plans for raiding the St. Canard SCP Foundation are good to go” added Kabir.

“Yes, I’ll send in a few soldiers who will assist you with the raid, they’ll create a diversion where you and your new friend will go and release SCP-682 upon St. Canard,” laughed Rupert.

Rupert knew this would get the attention of the Global Occult Coalition, though the GOC were all the way over in Duckburg, that wouldn’t stop them from recruiting the likes of Gizmo Duck to try to stop SCP-682!
