Deep in the jungles of Vietnam, American soldiers have landed in a secretive military base. But instead of fighting the Vietnamese this time, they have joined forces with them. Not against human enemies such as the Communist Chinese – but rather extraterrestrial ones. A few weeks ago, a saucer UFO crashed in the jungle after a Vietnamese SAM system was lucky enough to shoot it down for violating airspace. The squad’s leader – Colonel Bryce Silver was in charge of the operation with his second in command – LT. Colonel Tony Steel. Joining them on the Vietnamese end was Commander Bao Hang who.
“Alright, we have word that a nearby village has spotted the crash site” said Colonel Bryce, “we’re going to have to proceed with caution.”
Their squad had at least a dozen American and Vietnamese soldiers put together for this operation with a total of two dozen. Commander Bao knew the importance of this mission and how invested his own military was in apprehending alien technology for his own use before the Americans could.
“We should take whatever we can from the crash site first” said Commander Bao in his native Vietnamese language, “anything that’s alive should also be brought in.”
Commander Bao wanted to be a hero in the eyes of the Vietnamese Communist Party in terms of capturing a live alien and using his or her technology. Since there was a language gap between the American and Vietnamese counterparts it made Bao’s job all the more easier in only leading the Vietnamese soldiers while the Americans stayed with their own. The two groups soon headed out into the jungle – meanwhile at the crash site a gray alien by the name of Chares Az couldn’t believe his ship had crashed. He managed to pick himself up from the deck of his ship and he knew he had to find shelter fast.

“Great, just what I need” sighed Chares as he dusted himself off.
Soon the image of the leading gray alien female appeared – Idas Ki.
“Chares, are you there, pick up!” ordered Idas.
Chares sighed as he answered.
“Landed hard on the Earth” sighed Chares, “damage is extensive.”
Idas shook her head; she couldn’t believe how incompetent Chares was in letting his ship be shot down like that.
“I should demote you right now, but I won’t” said Idas, “since you are the Admiral’s son.”
Chares was an important gray alien figure in his own rank – unlike his father Cretines Chares was not serious with his work. He would often hover closer towards the ground level of the Earth hoping no one would try to hit him.
“Fine, I’ll see if this primitive planet has anything for me to seek assistance,” said Chares.
“No, you are to go to the highest point and start a campfire, use smoke signals and we’ll pick you up” said Idas, “that’s an order.”
Chares grumbled as Idas ended the transmission. The alien gray was on his own wandering through the jungles of Vietnam. He knew it would be days, perhaps weeks, months or even years if he were to reach a mountain top. He would have to hurry; he could hear men’s voices shouting in the distance. Commander Bao was leading the way ahead of the Americans.
“Ha, no wonder why they lost” laughed Commander Bao in his native Vietnamese tongue to his soldiers, “they still can’t find their way around the jungle.”
Commander Bao could tell he was getting close as he could see smoke in the distance.
