Rascal was in luck as he found the perfect janitor uniform to fit on him. He couldn’t believe the institution hired robotic workers like him.

  “Now to find that Thad kid,” laughed Rascal.

  But as Rascal was about to wonder off, he soon ran into the foreman of the institution – Curtius, a blue alien humanoid figure. Curtius could see how Rascal was somewhat new and needed to be shown the ropes.

  “Never thought I see another new face here, oh well the district must have approved your credentials” said Curtius.

  Curtius soon grabbed Rascal by his hand.

  “But, I really don’t work here,” said Rascal.

  Curtius soon bursts out with laughter.

  “That’s a good one!” laughed Curtius.

  Curtius gave Rascal a tour of the institution; which was a three story building, he would get to start on the second floor. But lucky for Rascal it was the same floor that Thad and Loca were heading to class. Thad wasn’t but the least interesting in academic stuff at all, he hated history feeling it was quite boring.

  “Why are we learning about cavemen?” asked Thad as he sat in his seat.

  “Relax, it’s just an hour for the class” said Loca.

  Loca on the other hand, enjoyed the subject. He would often assist Thad with his homework. The professor of the class was a greenish female alien known as Thebe Vi. Thebe did her best to continue a previous lesson. But Thad was more interested in other things like girls. The most popular girl of the student body of his age – Ms. Hinata Saito sat a few paces away.

  “You’re focusing on her instead of the lesson?” whispered Loca.

  “Hey, more interesting than caveman stuff,” laughed Thad.

  “Is there something funny about ancient Egypt Mister Thaddeus Knight?” asked Thebe.

  The rest of the class laughed at the longer version of Thad’s name. Loca did his best trying to help his friend get through the lesson. Rascal was just a few paces outside mopping the floor. Curtius had assigned him to do this job feeling he really was an employee.

  “Can’t believe I get stuck doing this” thought Rascal.

  Rascal grumbled a bit until he spotted Thad’s signature blonde spiky hairstyle in a window of the classroom.

  “It has to be him” thought Rascal.

  Rascal would purposely hang around the area until it was time for the next class. When Thad left with Loca, Rascal did his best trying to follow the two. Thad was too focused on Hinata who was with her friends in the hallway.

  “Psst” said Rascal.

  “Did you say something?” asked Thad.

  Loca shook his head. But a few more paces, Rascal repeated the same word.

  “Psst” said Rascal.

  Thad turns around and notices Rascal right behind Loca.

  “Hey, you’re that nerd robot from the diner who tried to prank me the other night with hot sauce,” said Thad.

  “Wait, you know him?” asked Loca.

  “Hardly” replied Thad, “I’m surprised he got pass through security here.”

  “Well, Thad, is it?” asked Rascal, “I have been hired by Attorney Jonathan Lockhart for you to become his assistant.”

  Thad wasn’t buying it for a moment, but he then glared at Hinata in the distance.

  “If you say who you are, prove it by getting that girl’s number for me,” said Thad.

  Thad knew he couldn’t fully use his powers to get to Hinata, so Rascal was the next best thing. Rascal swallowed and agreed to Thad’s terms.
