Father Nathaniel sat on his offiside the greenfield churd looked at the letter he received several days ter because of the ret dust storm. It was from pastor Donovan, a longtime friend of Nathaniel, his letter describes how he was worried about the ret cult that popped up retly in the area that was taking in new recruits at an arming rate . Pastor Donovan asked Nathao help him iigate the matter as soon as possible as he worried about the iions of this cult and wao put ao it. Father Nathaniel put the letter down , picked up the shotgun hanging on the wall behind him ao outside to help his friend. It took 30 minutes on horseback to get the nearby town of apple field. Nathaopped when he went to the churd saw light ing from within and he could tell from outside that dozens of people were inside so he slowly walked through the front door expeg to greet the churchgoers of apple field to only see the everyone in the room armed and wearing the same red robes and masks paio look like a snakes skull.
“I am here for father Donovan , I don’t mean to start a fight but I will defend myself if the need arises.” Said father Nathaniel.
Everyone in the room poiowards the stairs leading towards the basement of the church without saying a word. Nathaniel walked through the crowd and reached the basement and walked down a hallway then on his left he saw the silhouette of a man lying on a bed. The man was bloody and appeared to have been branded retly.
“Donovan, it’s me Nathaniel , what have they doo you?”
The man responded by repeatedly mumbling the words “Nathaniel “ and “moon”
“, we have to get you out of here , before they kill us both “ said Nathaniel
That’s when the member of serpents fang walked in to see Nathatempt to rescue Donovan and attacked him with a knife . Nathaniel was quid quickly shot the cultist and killing him instantly without getting stabbed. That’s when pastor Donova into a craze upon seeing his brethren being killed and started to attaathaniel .
“It’s me Nathaniel , I’m your friend!”
But by then it was too te as Nathaniel instinctively pulled the trigger which killed Donovan instantly. This put Natha first into a shock but then rage as he reloaded his gun he went to the hallway and saw two more cultists and started to shot them both and reload again and then steal and revolver one of them was carrying . Nathaniel walked into the main room where the majority out of the cultists were.
“I will leave this py own volition, anyone brave enough to stop me shall die, “ said Nathaniel
That’s when a cultist tried to rush towards Nathaniel with a cleaver but Nathaniel shot him down immediately with the revolver in his right hand . This caused the entire room to move away from him and he left the church without anymore interruptions. As he rode his horse back to greenfield he thought about he felt he just started a war he couldn’t win.
