I have a good amount of species now.
I added a plain tree.
The tree is somewhat oak-like.
It’s quite nice.
I made it so that the branches of the tree moves.
It took a while to build up its instincts, as my goal is so that my animals can climb onto it easily.
I made it so that the roots of each tree connect, but they aren’t entirely on organism.
It’s more like a tiny bit of communication.
Although, it’s not that much, the subconscious communication between my selves is already more than enough.
But still, I want to make a nice illusion of communication, one that isn’t dependent on it all being my self.
I also made a type of grass, it is somewhat soft and fuzzy and sometimes like normal grass.
This change can be controlled by me, I made the decision that the wants of the surrounding animals and plants will shift the feel.
This was easy to accomplish, I just had all of the grass completely connect, deciding when to be soft and when to be less-so.
Figuring out what the surround me’s want is easy, I had the grass bleed out a little bit of my consciousness.
When that was done, I made the hard decision to see what happens when I kill myself.
I kept a small piece of my mind in one of the pieces of grass, and completely shredded it.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Luckily, that piece of me didn’t disappear, but rejoined another close piece of me.
Phew.
That was needed information.
Maybe that was a bit reckless? I could have just simulated death by pulling myself out each time something died.
Now I have a small peace of mind, I won’t be worrying about myself accidentally being killed.
I made something completely newish.
It’s based on worms, but bugs and stuff make my skin crawl.
So, instead I made tiny little crystals which tunnel through the dirt.
The crystals essentially will cultivate bacteria, once I make some.
That bacteria will be used to enrich the soil.
Then the soil will be viable probably!
Then plants will grow, maybe I could even plant some natural plants, just to experiment with them.
Apart from just making life, I also started terra-forming.
I’ve made some caves that span the entire planet.
There were some mishaps like caves collapsing, but who doesn’t like it to rain rocks?
I also thought of something.
I need to make sure that if I place a portal to here, it is in the livable part of the world. Otherwise, any visitors will be burnt on the floor.
There’s also the problem of air, as this planet has no atmosphere.
I did think of a counter, but it kind of defeats the eternal day vibe I have for my planet.
If I make a fog that contains the air, then it won’t feel as weird. But like I said, that would defeat the eternal day theme I have going!
What to do, what to do.
Oh! I got it!
I could make air come from the center of the planet, I could make the planet breathe!
But where would the air come from?
I could make some, but wouldn’t that doesn’t seem fun.
I could make some type of thing that converts matter into air!
But where would I get the matter?
If I just use up the planet, eventually the planet would disappear.
Hmmmmm…
I might just routinely throw asteroids at the planet to make oxygen.
Now, time to work on something to make air!
Serne, Durn, the priestess and some random wizard researcher stand in front of a blue portal.
It resembles a ruin and has strange text:
To form the portal to another plane, say:
gsdhhfwhbkhjkewhfuuhuhjwehfou
Durn begins to talk, “Why’d you bring me here? Shouldn’t we-” and is cut off by the queen priestess tossing him into the portal.
“So that is why you brought him along” remarks the unnamed wizard researcher.
“Yes” responds the priestess curtly.
They sit there in awkward silence until Durn runs back through the portal and vomits on the ground.
“Why’d bleh you bleh do bleh that?! bleh”
The priestess takes a few steps back from Durn and responds, “because, you are tossing sized.”
Serne just stares at her.
He knew that she wasn’t the most perfect person; a kind person doesn’t steal a bunch of people who have nothing to do with her.
But, he didn’t expect her to ruthlessly toss the dwarf into the portal to check for danger.
It doesn’t even make sense thinks Serne to himself, If she wanted to check for danger, why not have Serne check and Durn note any changes?
Serne sighs and walks into the portal before the queen priestess tosses him as well.
When he walks into the portal, he finds himself in a strange land of doors, walls, stairs, and other building pieces.
He walks forward and finds the gravity shift, and several doors shift from under the ground.
He immediately falls back on his tail and lets out a loud yelp.
He stands up a bit wobbly, and after adjusting himself, walks back to the portal to report on his findings, omitting his fall of course.
