Panic gripped the courtroom, but no one dared move. No one wishes to incite the ticking time bomb of a man from the Bronx to detonate his own robotic prosecutor. But even as D. Vito threatened the whole room, the Dark Persecutor walked to the center of the room. Mina could hardly fathom the once dazzling and elegant man he once was and what he'd been reduced to: the time bomb in a sick revenge plot.
But Mina couldn't take anymore. Not just from the anguish of the case, but just seeing her ex boyfriend in such a dire state.
"Willy!" she cried to him, getting the judge's attention. "Please resist this wicked man. Don't do his malevolent work for him!"
Divine's baggy but wise eyes opened widely. "Will?" she said, sounding slightly frail. "Child, did you just call that technological monstrosity, Willy?! Like my William Justice?!"
The whole courtroom gave a collective gasp as the dark space lord reached towards his skull marked helmet and slowly removed it from his head. Mina wanted to close her eyes and scream forever. She was about to see a mutilated zombie version of her Blind Justice and that was a horror her mind couldn't take.
But once the helmet was off, curiosity got the best of her. She opened her eyes and saw...the face of her darling.
Though he looked slightly paler against the hue of his tanned skin, Blind Justice still possessed his handsome boyish face and his hair, though matted down, was still lush and full. He was truly living even if a bullet had penetrated his heart. The only thing that differed was a look of complete terror on his face.
"I am sorry, my dear Mimi," he said, calling her by her preferred pet name as his helmet clattered to the floor. "For everything I have put you through."

"Blind..." Mina said softly. "Are you really alive?"
The handsome prosecutor was hesitant to nod yes. "Somewhat," he answered solemnly. "Through the wonders and the terrors of Aura technology, they have given me a metal heart that works quite efficiently...except..."
Mina held her hands to her mouth. She was so glad he was alive, even through inhuman means, but there was always a catch.
"The reason..." Blind answered. "I have fought so hard for the Aura and against you, my love. Is because my metal heart is also...a bomb."
Blind turned his head to Vito who clutched the detonator like his life and death depended on it. "Though he has brought me back, he can end me at any moment...I have just been his puppet defending his cronies in court."
"Dat's right," Vito laughed with his congested, gas station food choked throat. "I have the world's best prosecutor on my side until da very end. I may not look like it, but I am a tactical genius and there is nothing you can do!"
Mina was frozen worse than the reanimated cadaver of her boyfriend. There truly was nothing she could do. She wished she could just reach out and hug her boyfriend right, but even that might provoke an explosion.
Raven crept back over to the defense bench and shook his head. "Welp kid, I tried. Guess we are really going up in proverbial smoke!"
Instead, she gazed at D. Vito, the once kindly old greaser from the Bronx. He was the only way this could end well.
She looked at Raven and placed her E-Phone in his hand. "Hold my phone," she said, standing tall and walking straight towards D. Vito. "I have something I must tell to the judge, the jury and the executioner."
"I'm warning you, punk," Vito exclaimed, his hand shaking as his finger hovered over the button. "Try any funny business and your boyfriend goes boom!"
Mina walked to the center of the courtroom, a singular objective in her mind. "No funny business," she said, with her eyes closed. "This may have been crazier than a circus, but there's no clowns in this court!"
Standing on the edge of her heels, Mina said something she hoped never to say to anyone in a court of law. Words reserved only for condemning a criminal.
"After much consideration and deliberation," Mina said, putting in a brave face. "I'm guilty, your honor."
