Chapter 2: A Job Well Done

  “Oh, crap,” he muttered.

Wang Yong immediately hid behind a big trash can that happened to be nearby.

"Please, don't see me. Please, go away, dammit. Please……"

His heart was racing, and he immediately accepted the fact that he was soon going to be caught by that man.

So he decided to look at that man one last time, and to his surprise, that man reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette. He lit it and took a puff.

"What kind of the street is this…" This man speaks with a low voice while walking toward the huge crowd. He didn't notice Wang Yong at all.

So Wang Yong is safe. For now.

“Phew, that was close,” he whispered to himself.

He looked back at Shi Ying, and he saw Shi Ying covering her mouth while giggling to herself.

Wang Yong then gave her a stern look. Shi Ying, seeing this, stuck her tongue out, and Wang Yong immediately smile and focused on the mission. He continued to locate the man from the crowd, and when he found that man again, he kept his step as quiet as possible.

Wang Yong look at that man's move, and just as that man stopped to take another puff of his cigarette, Wang Yong darted forward and grabbed the suitcase.

And Shi Ying immediately activated her power. She pointed her hand at the man, and in a second, that man's movement stopped. He freezes.

"Wait, why am I not moving?" That man thought to himself, because he cannot even move his mouth.

Wang Yong immediately grabbed the suitcase, but that man cannot even see his hand and the thief. But he knew he was being robbed.

“Go, go, GO, GO!” Wang Yong immediately run as fast as he could, as the Shi Ying power effect began to fade. She can only activate her Power in 3 seconds.

  But it was enough.

Three seconds passed. The affected man can move again, seemingly blinking, confused, before looking down at his hand and gasping.

“Hey! Where’s my suitcase?!” he shouted, spinning around frantically. His eyes scanned the street, but he couldn’t see suspicious people since he was in the middle of the crowd. People who watch him just pass by.

“FCK!! FCK!!! F*CK!!!, did you do this?" He grabbed a random man, who immediately fought back."

"What the f*ck, man. What's your problem?" He yanked himself free, then continued to walk away while continuing to give him a nasty side-eyes,

"Sht!!! The boss would kill me for this!!! Fck, what should I do????” He checked the ground around him and even turned in circles while feeling panicked.

Meanwhile, Wang Yong rushes toward Shi Ying's location which is so happening in a quiet alley. He panted, trying to catch his breath.

Shi Ying clapped, feeling elated. "Good job, Lupin. You made it."

Wang Yong still held the suitcase. “Yeah, why didn't you help me earlier when he almost spotted me?? If he saw me, it's over.”

Shi Ying waved a hand dismissively. “Oh. Come on. Don't be such a bummer. Trust me, even if he noticed, I would immediately hypnotize him. You can trust me."

Wang Yong give Shi Ying a judgemental eye.

Shi Ying laughed. “Just relax, man. Anyway, you pulled it off, right?”

Wang Yong sighed and handed her the suitcase. “I can never beat you, A Ying. But I beg you. Next time, you’d better use that power sooner, alright?”

Shi Ying just grinned. “Don’t worry, dumb*ss. Besides, isn’t this way more exciting?”

Shi Ying then pulled up her phone and did something there. Within minutes, there was a sound of notification in Wang Yong's phone. A notification of a money transfer of 10K asro from Shi Ying.

“What the f*ck?? This much, huh? I have never seen much money in my entire life."

“Not bad for a day’s work, huh?” Shi Ying winked. “My client pays the best. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have to do this.”

“What kind of client pays more money to steal this suitcase?? Who’s your client anyway?”

“It’s my little secret,” she winked again. "Now go home, dude. And don’t give this money to your brother, alright? And for the last time, use that money to buy some clothes. Duh,” she said.

"I made no promise. But I'll try."

With that, they parted ways. Wang Yong looks at Shi Ying's one last time. She playfully walks away like a child, swinging the suitcase in her hand, and disappears into the narrow street.

“Oh man, guess the fun’s over.” Wang Yong then walked to his home with a heavy heart.

When Wang Yong got home that evening, the first thing he noticed was a shiny black racing motorcycle parked outside their dirty apartment.

It is a very stand-out thing. So Wang Yong stopped and watch it with curiosity.

"Who the f*ck owns this rich motorcycle?"

Upon second glance, he was drawn to that motorcycle because of how catchy and shiny it was, so he unconsciously touched it.

"Op, op, don't touch it with a dirty hand, peasant. That's gonna cost you a fortune,” A cold, mocking voice came from above.

It was Wang Liang, which happen to standing on the second-floor dirty balcony.

Wang Yong looked up to see Wang Liang standing on the second-floor dirty balcony, which Wang Liang showed Wang Yong a smirk “If you leave a single fingerprint in there, you pay for it, my dear little brother.”

"Ughh…." Wang Yong bit his lip, holding back the urge to yell. But he knew he had no choice but to comply.

So, with a heavy heart and a bad mood, he climbed the stairs to their apartment. To their room

Inside was only Wang Liang, who was already waiting for him, leaning casually against the doorway like he owned the place.

“Welcome home. My dear little brother” Wang Liang said, his smirk widening. “I hope you are not hungry. You don't blame me when I didn't give you my favorite roasted pork, right??”

“None of your business. Why do you care???” Wang Yong answered with a low but angry voice while trying to pass him by.

Suddenly, Wang Liang grabbed Wang Yong's hand.

“What do we have here?? 10K asro is a very huge amount of money, doesn't it right?” Wang Liang gave Wang Yong a sinister smile while showing his phone to Wang Yong, which freaks him. A live screen of Wang Yong's phone is shown live inside Wang Liang's wallpaper.

Wang Yong's phone was hacked. Wang Liang secretly installed the virus program a while ago.

“YOU MOTHERF*CKER HACKED MY PHONE???” Wang Yong shouted, yanking his arm back.

"Don't blame me if you don't even install your screen lock. Anyway, now I… I mean we are rich!!!"

"IT IS NOT YOUR F*CKING MONEY!!!"

"What did you just say to me, you little piece of sh*t??"

It just so happened that their mother walked into the room. "What happened?? Liang'er, did your little brother make trouble again??"

His mom's word choice makes Wang Yong disappointed. "Trouble, she said??"

"Ah, Mom, you are back." Wang Liang responded gleefully. "Would you believe that now this little piece of sh*t has more money than us, but don't want to share???"

Wang Liang's words made Wang Yong furious. But his mom, upon hearing it, was also furious, for a different reason.

"Really?? How dare you not share with us? Where's your gratitude, huh??? Send it to me now!!!” Wang Yong's mother demanded as she began approaching Wang Yong

“Mom….” Wang Yong started, his voice shaking. "I earned it—"

“Earned it?” Wang Liang cut in, laughing. “Yeah, right. You probably stole it. Isn’t that right, little thief?”

Wang Yong’s face turned red with frustration. “IT'S MINE!” he shouted.

His mother immediately slapped Wang Yong. “DON'T TALK TO YOUR BROTHER LIKE THAT!!!!” she snapped. “Your brother works hard. He has a better future. And look at you. What do you do? Nothing but trouble! Now, APOLOGIZE TO YOUR BROTHER RIGHT NOW!!!”

Wang Yong cried on the spot silently.

Wang Liang grinned and took a step closer to Wang Yong. “Oh, if I were you, I would show some respect to the king of the house, the breadwinner here,” he said with a smug face, insinuating that he was the one. “You’re lucky we even let you live here.”

“RESPECT? FOR YOU?” Wang Yong shot back at Wang Liang with his fist clenched. “ALL YOU F*CKING DO IS BULLY ME.”

Wang Yong's mother slapped Wang Yong again.

“You don’t know when to shut up, do you?”

Wang Liang approaches his mother. "Don't worry, Mom. I got this."

With a smug face, he activated his power. “Maybe I should teach you some manners.”

Suddenly, a bubble of water formed around Wang Yong's head. Before long, Wang Yong has the water that has the shape of a helmet ball, that are now in Wang Yong's head. He was suffocated.

Wang Yong gasped, clawing at the water.

“Blub blub blub” Wang Yong’s voice is blocked by the water around him.

“Don't blame me for this, little peasant.” Wang Liang approached Wang Yong with a sinister smile. “You’re useless to us. You’ll never be anything to us. And on top of that, you cannot even know your place. So, as the King of the House, I will personally punish you for disrespecting us. Nothing personal.”

"Blub blub blub" Wang Yong’s chest burned as he struggled to breathe.

His mind raced with fear, but then, deep inside, something strange happened. He felt a strange warmth spreading through his body. It started from the chest, then onto his hand, which made his palm form water.

The water was soon formed into a dagger. The dagger itself was glowing blue.

And Wang Yong didn’t have time to think, so he made his first instinct choice. He swung his dagger wildly, which, unfortunately, stabbed his brother's neck.

Wang Liang was shocked by this turn of events, before stumbling backward. His blood was now gushing from his neck.

The water around Wang Yong’s head disappeared, splashing to the floor. Wang Yong fell to his knees, gasping for air.

"Ohok ohok ohok" Wang Yong trying to have a deep breath, trying to recover.

Wang Liang on the other hand, was trying so hard to press the blood escaping from his neck, but the blood didn't stop,

“What… WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?! HELP ME!!!!” he shouted, staring at Wang Yong with anger and panic.

Their mother, watching the whole event in shock, stood frozen in the middle of the room, her hands covering her mouth. Her eyes were wide with disbelief. “Wang Yong… What… WHAT DID YOU JUST DO??” She shouted.

Wang Yong stayed on his knees, staring at his hand. The dagger was gone now, the water dripping onto the floor. “I… I don’t know,” he said quietly.

Wang Liang, with the blood gushing from the neck, began to lose his strength He felt his consciousness was fading away.

“M… Mom… He… Hel…” He watched his mom, trying to grab her, terrified, before he stopped moving.

Wang Liang was dead, officially dead.

His mom, watching this in horror, froze, before she grabbed Wang Liang's body,

"No.. no.. no.. wake up, my little boy" She looked at the blood from Wang Liang's dead body, and when she realized his son has died, she finally cried.

“Huaa…. Liang'er, don’t die on me.” She holds Wang Liang's body tight.

Wang Yong, still processing what just happened, slowly realized that first, he just killed someone. Second, he just killed his brother. Third, his mom watched him kill his brother.

Wang Yong with a terrified look, tries to elevate the situation by letting out a small sound.

  “Mom...”

His mom, however, finally watching Wang Yong, looked him dead in the eye, with anger.

“Shut up. YOU ARE NOT MY SON. I should just kill you. COME HERE YOU F*CKING MURDERER!!!”
