After waiting for about ten minutes, I finally see a group of angels approaching. There are six of them, one four-winged and the rest are just two-winged. They look around a little and then they gather around the body of the one I killed.
I wait until their attention is on the corpse and then come out from my hiding spot. I circle around until I am behind the four-wing and then I charge at them. The four-wing is the only one that could possibly hurt me, so I take it out first and then the remaining five are easy to kill.

I quickly gather their cores, but none of their equipment looks all that good. After that, I quickly leave the area since I doubt the same trick will work twice. What's more, anyone I see from this point forward should be on their guard.
Holos may even be alerted and looking for me, for all the good it will do him. All he is going to be able to see are the corpses of his slaughtered angels. Hopefully, by the time he decides to come looking for me in person, I will be long gone.
Of course, I don't plan to leave until I absolutely have to, I want more cores first. I especially want the core of a six-wing to use to summon my own angel. With that in mind, I start heading in the direction that the group of angels came from.
It doesn't take long before I spot another group of souls and there is even an angel with them. It is only a two-wing, but that doesn't stop me from heading down to slaughter them. I do feel a little guilty about slaughtering the souls, but I can hope that they will be reincarnated.

Considering how easy these souls are to kill, I might just level up my soul if I can find enough of them. I am guessing from how the first angel showed up that they have some way of detecting the deaths. If that is the case, then I should see a pretty strong response to this slaughter.
With that in mind, I look around for a place to hide and still see who approaches. The best spot that I manage to find is up in a tree a few hundred yards from the corpse. Since the angels will likely fly here, it should be the perfect spot to see them without being seen.
In the end, it turns out to be a good thing that I decided to hide and wait. What shows up to investigate is the six-wing I was looking for, but it isn't alone. It has four four-wings and a dozen two-wings with it, which might be a bit much.

However, the six-wing is dressed in silver full plate and wielding a hammer and shield. So, not only does it have the core I want, it also has gear for my new angel. I am really tempted to take them on, I might take some damage, but I can heal myself.
The fact that killing this group would allow me to complete all my goals is what tips the scales. As soon as I have decided, I take flight, but I stay as low as I can and try to avoid being spotted. Since the six-wing is the most dangerous one, I am going to target him first.
Luckily, the angels are focused on their destination and are not looking around much. In fact, they are not looking below them at all, which allows me to get right under the six-wing. As I fly up from underneath him, I shake my hand and summon the assassin's dagger.
I have only spotted a single weakness in the angel's full plate, the eye slit of the helm. As I reach him, I intentionally crash into his body to keep his arms from coming between us. For just a second, I stare into his shocked eyes before driving the dagger into one of them.
However, that isn't enough to kill him, but channeling a lightning bolt through the dagger is. I let his charred corpse fall as I dismiss the dagger and draw my sword. Then, since I am dealing with multiple opponents, I split the sword into two.
Wielding two swords I charge into the rest of the angels and start swinging. I deal with the four-winged angels first because once they are dead the battle is basically won. The angels are stunned by the death of their leader and don't put up much of a fight.

'So, the six-wing was a named archangel? That must mean that he is one of Holos' lieutenants. He is definitely going to notice this. Maybe I should just leave right now.'
However, before I decide anything, I dive down and land next to the archangel's corpse. It takes me a few minutes to figure out how to open the full plate. Once I do, I remove it and put it along with the hammer and shield into my pouch.
Next, I cut out his core and then the cores of all the other angels as quickly as I can. As soon as the last core is in my pouch I quickly pick and direction and start running. It is not the same direction that I was traveling in before, since that is where Holos should be.
It is entirely possible that he will come in person after losing a lieutenant and I don't want to run into him. However, if he is heading for the place I killed the archangel, then hunting in other areas should be safe enough. I currently have everything that I need, but I would still like to collect more cores for Seronia and Krenocia.
Not to mention that I would like to get more easy soul exp before I leave. As soon as I am a bit away from the site of the fight, I take to the air to move faster. Once I am in the air, I change directions just in case Holos has someone capable of tracking.
In fact I hope he does, that was the whole reason I was running to begin with. Now I am moving at an angle towards where the city should be, or close to it. I'm not sure how the directions are set up here, so I am doing a lot of guessing.
Whichever direction I am heading, I feel better the more miles I put behind me. Now that my odds of running into Holos are lower, I start looking for my next victims. I cover about another dozen miles before I spot them and they end up being just some human souls.
However, my soul level is more important to me than their afterlife, so I dive towards them. I was sure that by now word would have spread and that they would be on guard. That doesn't seem to be the case, they seem completely relaxed right before I attack.
