"Then I will think of another way to keep you safe. Maybe I can make golems to guard you while you are meditating, or something like that."
Mulan says "So it is okay if the three of us go back to the plane of fire as long as we are careful?"
"Yes, but be aware that anyone who can go there without burning up is likely to be really strong."
Nala says "We should be alright if we take turns being on guard."
Mulan says "That's a good idea. At the first sign of trouble we will gate home."
Kechara says "In that case, Asuna and I will go join Ekard and Haku. Hopefully, you will have come up with something by the time we get back."
"I will do my best."
The kids split up and head through the gates, then I head back to my workshop. The first problem that I need to figure out is where to put new training rooms. Underground like my workshop would probably be best, but I will need to make room.
That should work for fire and ice, but putting a room for air mana underground won't work. In fact, it is probably pointless to even try making it a room, air needs room to move. Then again, if I do it right I can just use the open air inside the castle's bubble.
Not only would that give Kechara a place to train, but it would also keep the air fresh. I was already thinking about expanding the garden and connecting it to the plane of plants. That should be good enough for Albion, meaning I only really need to make two rooms.
However, before I start building anything, I need to make sure that I can make a connection. I also need to make sure it works the way I think it does and that it will have the same benefits. Or at least the benefits need to be as close to the actual plane as possible.
For now, I have decided against connecting my bath to the plane of lightning. I don't want to have to avoid taking a bath in order to not get evolution points. I quite enjoy being able to take a bath and relax and am not willing to give that up.
With that being the case, connecting to the plane of air is probably the easiest way to test the idea. So I exit the castle and fly up above it to start experimenting with the connection. With what I have learned it is fairly easy to create the connection to the plane of air.
However, it turns out to be a lot harder to figure out how to limit what comes through. It is also harder to destroy the connection and costs more mana to do so. Luckily, I still have a crystal on me to refill my mana when I run out.

Once a connection is created, it is not possible to make any changes to it. So, I end up creating and destroying the connection several times before I figure it out. After repeated tries, I finally figure out how to create a connection that only allows air and air mana through.
Once it is created and open for a few minutes, the air within the dome starts moving around. Despite the small area, air currents form and keep the air constantly moving. It turns out to be much more effective than the enchantments I came up with.
The connection, once created, is maintained by the energy from the plane. That means that I don't need to provide any energy to maintain it, but I can't just leave it as is. I need to tie it into the enchantments of the castle so that it won't break when the castle is moved or shrunk.
I plan to wait to do that until I have created all of the connections and tested them. As I look down on the castle from above, while planning the connections, I realize that there is a lot of work to do. I need to completely redesign the garden and I want to add a stream and pond to it.
That will give me a reason to connect to the plane of water, but it will also create some problems. For one thing I am going to need somewhere for the water to go, or it will flood the castle. The easiest way I can think of to do that would be a second connection that returns the water.
It should be possible, it will just take some experimenting to figure out. I also need to wait for Kechara to come back and test to see if the connections are effective for training. Another thing that is bothering me is that the castle looks odd only having two towers on the back side.
However, if I am going to do a lot of work on the castle, I am going to need more stone. I wonder if I can get stone through a connection to the plane of earth? If so, then I will never need to worry about getting more stone again.
Since the castle is built completely from stone, connecting it to the plane of earth should empower it. If things work the way I hope they will, this could end up being a huge upgrade to the castle. Although, before doing all of that, I should probably update and improve the castle's enchantments.
However, before all of that, I quickly realize that I also need a vent for the air. Otherwise, with a constant inflow, the air pressure is going to just keep increasing. Since I am going to need that for a couple of elements, I go ahead and start experimenting.
It turns out to be extremely simple, it is just another one way connection. Once I move the connections so that they are on opposite sides of the dome, it works perfectly. Not only is the air fresher now, but the mana levels inside the castle are increasing.
That makes me wonder if there is also a plane of mana, after all it is a natural force. If so, I am betting that it will be a really interesting place to explore. I will have to remember to ask the dragon if he knows the next time I visit him.
However, I had better make sure to create my soul palace before then or I am going to get lectured. I will do that just as soon as I am done with the connections and enchantments. Then, if nothing comes up, I will head to check out Soul City and satisfy my curiosity.
With a plan in mind, I get to work on redesigning the castle and the gardens. I decide to put in a rock formation next to the building that I built for Bella to do tattoos. That is where the stream will start with a small waterfall and then wander through the gardens.
It will end in a pond and that is where I will put the second connection to drain off the excess water. The gardens will need to be completely redone and expanded, but the golems can handle that. I also want to add more flowers along the path to the castle and a bridge over the stream.
