Hi Writer Here!
Welcome to the First Ever Q&A where I go and answer anything I find you guys asking down in the comment section of where I post.
So to everyone that engages with my content, thank you.
Now with that out of the way, let’s get to the questions!
X-X-X
Q: Will there be characters who notice that fate is going wonky around him? - Astan
A: There have already been a few people in the story that notice that fate seems to mess with him. Some people even theorized that, before the Role test, Mako would get a luck-based Role so it was surprising that he became Roleless. Though some people just chocked it up to be another twist of fate.
Ashita herself is starting to notice that Mako’s luck is weird, but she still has her doubts.
As for future characters there will be a certain person who will take notice of Mako’s luck. Perhaps they can assist in any way?
Q: Probably should be "Japunifornia", to be consistent with the naming scheme & Well, you may have left out how USA-G accused refugees of being spies and sent thousands back many of which died in Allmon's war. Or the Japunese separation communities. - silent-blue
A: Ok first, you’re right, but I’m just going to keep it Japanifornia and say that it used to be called Japunifornia but Engrish changed it to Japanifornia.
Fun Fact: I was figuring out whether or not this should take pce in California or Japan, mostly because I lived in America but I also wanted a Japanese school setting (despite me being completely clueless on the specifics). Then I remembered Ace Attorney was a thing and decided to take that setting and do broad strokes with worldbuilding to make it work. It’s also why every name in this series is a pun, albeit a clever or dumb one.
As for the whole USA-G retionship with the Japunese, well if you go back and reread that chapter, the day Autogrand came to save Japun would be around the same time Japun would’ve raided Wamomi Harbor. So because of that, the paranoia and hostility between the two countries wouldn’t have existed and their retionship would’ve been positive instead of negative.
Don’t get me wrong, it was still 1940 so not everything was all sunshine and rainbows, but this definitely helped change that mindset earlier on.
Q: Why he eat the Fish? - Several People
A: His mom brainwa- I mean, taught him not to waste food, and he doesn’t want to make her mad. It’s not a problem though since he has a strong stomach and he doesn’t get food poisoning easily. His sense of taste is normal though so he knows when something tastes bad, he just can’t vomit it out.
Q: So his role also did something to his common sense and actions? Like, I have trouble socialising too but those choices he had?
Your bug collection is cute?
Do you like me?
I'm sorry the police got involved st year?
Why were this his first opening lines to say? Literally, just go with the neutral thing and talk about what their project will be first. June had to be the one to say it too.
There's socially awkward and then there's this. I'm thinking his role affected his mentality. - XxxXDank_Pizza_DragonXxxX
A: Ok you see the problem with that is… that it’s an excellent idea that I wish that I thought of when I was writing it. Which kinda implies how fucked my actual social skills are like….
I’m getting better.
In universe expnation, Mako is simply rusty since he didn’t get many new friends when entering Sac High and the constant beatdowns to his self-esteem hasn’t helped his social skills at all.
