AnnouncementSorry that I didn't get this out this st Tue, but because of the holiday my work got hectic. My shifts all got extended by like 2+ hours each day this week so I slept as soon as I got home, but we are back, so cheers!Chapter 32- Enter the X-men

Citadel- Entry Hall- 6th day of the month of Niffle of the 6983 GR (Morning)

  Nath’aniel-

When he felt Shanna start to move towards him, the undetected aircraft slowed. they had circled the area that the Citadel protected several times, before eventually choosing a clearing that the Cat People had created when they started gathering materials for the vilge they were building near the Citadel.

It would be further along if not for them being afraid of the Newmen, but after the Brotherhood's raid. The backing down of the new species should embolden the felines to put more effort into their new vilge.

“I can confirm, there are fourteen minds on the pne. And they have at least one telepath that felt my probe.” Psylocke psychically told the mage as he watched a series of dispys appear above the table in the middle of the Entry Hall.

A short time after the craft touched down, the Citadel’s observational sensors could finally detect the craft.

"I am now able to identify the stealth circuits in the 'Bckbird'. It is somehow able to grab and hold my observational sensors, and then they send back, false data on the craft's presence. If they could up the power in the machine, they might even be able to create a field and make me blind to their air wake as well."

Nath'aniel frowned at the report, but was actually pleased to hear some say. "Don't say that around them, we don't want to give them any ideas now do we," Exodus said with a partial smile on his face, as he flew from the stairs to nd beside the mage. "I told the others to have a light bite, before joining us. Nothing too heavy mind you, but I would rather they had something. So they will have enough energy so they don't pass out during the fight."

“Outsting your enemies, sometimes that all you have to do to win.” Nath'aniel agreed to the suggestion, but then put all of his attention on the craft as a ramp was lowered, and a moment ter some of the passengers started leaving the craft. "Have you fought these people before?"

“Twice, we never lost anybody, but they left us hurting. Especially from Wolverine, and his adamantium cws.” The knight admitted.

“How does he have Adamantium cws?" The mage asked confused. He knew of the space metal, and even had a small stockpile of it here in the Citadel, but it was a rather difficult metal to work with.

“Oh right, you made a small bde for Murmur’s glove. Well to answer your question, it wasn’t naturally done, I don’t know the details, but from what I heard, he was experimented on by his own government. It's stuff like that is why we're fighting." Exodus expined.

The first couple of people had left the craft, but they were waiting for the others before pressing on. The first he saw walkout was a Tribeswoman from the Central Realm, she wore an odd form-fitting outfit of mostly bck, but it also had white shoulder pads, gloves, and an odd cape that appeared attached to her wrists. The outfit wasn't what caught his eye though, it was her neckce. The mage recognized the pattern of beads and bone immediately.

Still, he held his words and thoughts to himself, as if it could be a coincidence.

“That woman there, that’s Storm, she is their leader. Magneto usually faces her, since he can negate her powers. The rge man behind her is Thunderbird, he is their muscle and rear guard.” The knight identified the first two before asking. “Do you want me to reveal their powers?”

"No, but keep identifying them please, I have a rough idea of what they are capable of," Nath'aniel replied while watching the rge man. The X-man would have been impressive if not for him having met Basilisk and Wolfsbane in her war form. Tall and muscur, his costume seemed to consist mostly of paint, and leather leggings. Nath’s first instinct was to call the man an Eastern Tribesman. Yet his skin tone and posture reminded him of Danielle Moonstar, and when he called her that, she corrected him and expined that she actually came from the Western Realms.

"The next ones are Morph and Dazzler." Exodus named the man and woman that followed the first couple. They were as odd as the first pair. Both appeared to be of Tribesmen of the North, but he was dark of hair and complexion and she blue-eyed and blonde-haired.

The man was mostly covered by a leather coat that stretched down passed his thighs, but he also wore a blue and yellow body suit, and seemed both distracted and enamored by the woman descending the ramp next to him.

While the woman, who was shorter but more busty than the Southern woman from earlier, also wore a tight-fitting outfit of a dark blue material, that unlike Storm's had a 'V' shaped window cut into it to show off her cleavage.

The next member to leave the craft, came out alone, and was rather short, over a foot shorter than the mage’s own six feet height, and stood out the most of all of them in his bright yellow sleeveless body suit.

"That's Wolverine," Exodus stated clearly and pointed at the man.

"What is in his mouth?" Nath'aniel asked as he watched the man stop halfway down the ramp to activate a small hand tool that produced a fme.

“It’s called a cigar. It’s a tobacco thing. I was never really into them.” The knight expined.

As they watched the man apply the fme to the end of the rolled tube, he felt the Abyssal energy around him increase greatly, causing him to look away and look for his disciple. When he and she shared a look, Wanda blushed and looked away from him. This behavior confused the mage, but now was not the time to ask about such things. Now was the time to think about the possible battle.

As the knight opened to identify the next pair, Nath’aniel noticed the sudden dip in purple and green auras as the Re-locator went off. “These next two are actually siblings, the boy uses the name Alucard, and the girl uses Crimson Witch.”

This Alucard was barely wearing anything, as his chest, arms, feet, and head were fully exposed. He wore a loose pair of bck pants, which looked thin and useless in battle. While the girl wore much like the other members a suit that clung well to her body, but like her brother much of her thighs arms, and cleavage were exposed with only a series of strings covering them. She at least concealed her face with a yellow mask.

  “Witch?” The mage asked.

Wanda, his disciple answered his confusion. “Not a real one master. At least I have only ever seen her use her mutant powers in battle and never wielded anything like magic before.” As she expined that to him the doors to the Re-locator opened and out walked most of the Brotherhood.

Basilisk led, Nightcrawler, Ka-zar, Wolfsbane and Rogue out. “So basically the X-men are pompous wannabes of us?” Rogue was asking from the back of the group.

“Yeah basically.” His rge lover agreed, as the four Mosul-bearers got closer to them.

He watched her wink at him, as the group stopped, and he wanted to stare at her a bit longer, but more movement on the screens pulled his attention to the images again. A trio of younger men descended the ramp, all dressed in simir back suits with yellow straps crossing on their chests.

The lead one was of mixed heritage, judging from his skin tone, a Southern and Northern Tribes. His suit cked any facial protection and sleeves, so all of his face was clear to them. What really surprised the mage was the boy's off-yellow hair. then he had to remind himself that both his first lover and disciple used chemicals to alter the color of their own hair, so he just let it drop and looked at the other two boys.

Meanwhile, both of the other boys were clearly Northern tribesmen, one had a bck cloth helmet that was also reinforced with three silver strips. He also had an odd metal pte in the middle of his uniform's chest. The st of the boy's uniform only had a yellow visor covering most of his face.

"Their costumes are much more uniform," Nath'aniel stated.

He saw the amount of magnetic energy quadruple a moment before Magneto floated down from the stairwell. "Those are Charles' junior css, each css gets to pick a name for their team, but they must earn their X-man costume. It's something of a graduation gift. The practice was actually started by me, as most of the new members could perform better with just a little bit of equipment.” Magneto expined as he floated towards the entrance.

He didn’t come alone. The mutant leader was followed by both Murmur and Copycat.

Nath’aniel only took a gnce to know that the teen not only had the glove he made her on, but that it was fully charged already. He did however look over the gene-morph, and was surprised that she was dressed and armed like when they attacked the Newmen compound.

When the mage returned his attention back to the images, the first three young men were joined by a trio of young women as well. A pair of Northern tribeswomen and an Eastern tribeswoman. Of the two northern women, one had red hair while the other had soft brown. The red-haired one had a green headband with a red gemstone as a part of her costume. The other northern only had a couple of blue items added to her outfit, a sash around her waist and another one tied around her neck. The mage found it slightly odd that the Easterner was the first one that didn't seem to have any customization, and only wore the bck suit with yellow straps.

“This ‘next css’ who are they?” Nath’aniel asked.

The mutant leader said from across the room. “Them we know little about, as we haven’t fought them. I know the one in the visor is their leader. And the girl with the red hair is a powerful telepath and telekinetic, so powerful in fact, that Charles reached out to me to restrain her, so that he could create some mental restraints for her. So she couldn’t hurt people unintentionally.”

The mage nodded at that, the Citadel couldn't get as detailed as he would like from this distance, but once he id his eyes on them, his Mage Sight should tell him all he needed to know about them.

Then he heard Exodus ask the albino woman. "You are joining us?"

“A girl’s got to make a living, doesn't she?” She snapped back at him. The mage could tell immediately that the gene-morph was angry, why he had no idea, but she clearly was.

“Is your boyfriend going to join us too? I heard that he and Wolverine have a past, so it would be nice if we could leave that to him.” Magneto asked her.

Copycat growled before snapping again. “He is indisposed.”

“Oh, with what?” Basilisk asked her from across the room.

“[Staff Deadpool] is currently in his quarters, recovering from a head wound.”

Everyone blinked at the Citadel's report. "I am not one to judge, but you shouldn't bring such private activities that it leads to people being injured," Ka-zar compined, after crossing his arms.

“Look, he shot himself in the head, not me.” Copycat corrected.

Even Nath'aniel stopped watching the people exiting the aircraft to look at her after that statement. Everyone in the Entry Hall stared at her for a moment confused. Exodus was the first to recover and ask. "Why?"

Copycat crossed her arms in a huff, before admitting. “Apparently he is fucking Death behind my back.”

The mage shrugged and went back to looking at the images, while everyone else continued to stare at her confused. Nath'aniel hadn't realized that the mutant leader and walked to be right behind him, till he whispered a question in his ear. "Can he actually do that?"

Nath’aniel rubbed his chin for a second before admitting. “She does have a body, not that I know where it is. And he wouldn’t be the first to try and court her. I know Hades attempted it, before being turned down. It’s more of a question does Death respond to his efforts really.’

“Then again, other than my brief time in her company when I was younger, I really don’t like to think about the woman. Given what being with her generally means and all that.”

Psylocke had returned from her scouting and materialized near the Citadel's ground-level door, just as Basilisk asked. "Wait, you met Death? When?”

"As I said, when I was younger, I almost died of the illness that wrecked my body, but my father and some of his associates managed to revive me. And thanks to perfect recollection, I recall my brief time with the woman." Nath'aniel answered ftly. He ignored the stern look his purple-haired lover gave him at this admission.

His attention was on the st member of the aircraft to leave it, he was the biggest of them, even slightly taller and more muscur than the team's 'muscle' Thunderbird. Like the first of the younger members, his costume cked sleeves and anything for his face, but instead of the yellow straps he had red ones.

The mage then noticed again the shift in purple and yellow auras as the Re-locator triggered again. While Nath’aniel could feel Shanna was inside, he still turned to see who was most likely, the st three to join them. Quicksilver, the anti-metal gauntlets repced with a fairy-silver dagger. She-Devil, she held in her offhand his bded staff, and st but not least an armored and armed Captain America.

The captain wore an abandoned suit of armor. The half helm he wore protected his face and the top of his head, but left his jaw and neck exposed. His hands, feet, shoulders, and joints were protected by a series of ptes, but his arms, legs, and chest were only covered in yers of scales. As for his only chosen 'weapon', a metal round shield, a buckler he thought it called, that only covered part of his arm.

“You and your vibranium shields," Magneto muttered while shaking his head.

The Captain shrugged, before saying. "If it isn't broken, why fix it… I will have to admit, this is a lot lighter than I thought it would be. it's even lighter than what I wore during the war." After shifting and adjusting where the ptes and scales sat on him.

“I would hope so. What you are wearing is made out of mithril.” The mage muttered.

Nath'aniel quickly moved his hands to protect his ears, as he heard someone make a very high-pitched squeal. When the ringing stopped he heard Basilisk state. "I want a set." Then there was a somewhat long silence, before she muttered. "Sorry." As many of her teammates had been temporarily deafened by the shrill noise that she had made.
