Chapter 76- Servants (Part 3)

  Chapter 76- Servants (Part 3)

The Persevere- Demonstration Cave- 21stday of the month of Niffle of the 6983 GR (Afternoon)

  Nath’aniel-

"And then once all three are connected, test it by pulsing a wave of astral energy through the components. This is to ensure that there are not any leaks in the set, as I am sure that you are well aware of what mystic energy will do to a Tribesman of the Land." Nath'aniel instructed the two men intently watching him, doing exactly as he told them. Passing a wave of astral energy throughout the set, and on seeing no leaks, the mage drains any sting mystical energy in the Stabilizer, bind point, and command root.

While the former educator nodded in understanding, his younger-looking father frowned in confusion. So the older-looking Ortani expins to his father. “Mystical energy of all fields are very infming to human tissues.”

“You speak of such strange energy like its electricity.” The older Ortani mutters.

“Whether mundane or mystical, energy is energy, which follows its own set of rules. Sonic energy flows through the air easily, while electricity generally requires a medium for travel. The only real difference between mystical and mundane is that mundane has a very hard set of physical rules that they follow, while many mystical ones have exceptions.” Nath’aniel expined to the man.

Then Psylocke telepathically told him, “Nathy, we need to talk. I am worried about these two sisters, especially since you are about to make one of them much more powerful.” Before the three men’s conversation could continue.

“Excuse me.” The mage muttered before walking away towards his lover.

Nath’aniel heard the son tell his father. “Rumors are that he and that woman there are lovers, and she is a telepathic mutant.”

"Oh my, he is a bold one to date a woman who can read his mind." The older Ortani muttered in understanding.

Even before he could ask her what her concern was, Betsy told him in a whisper. “They’ve been trained.”

“Well yeah, they were Ortani’s students.” The mage admitted.

"Not that, they've been trained to resist telepathy," Psylocke warned him, before nodding toward the other gathering of disciples. "Keacilius' people, are all honest heartbroken people who have spent years to get where they are today. But those two, all I have read from them is nothing but math equations and lines of Shakespeare.”

Nath’aniel figures he made his curious look, because she added. “Government agents are taught to keep cold hard facts in their forward thoughts, while their subconscious is freely shielded from surface scans. For all I know, they could be plotting how to kill everyone once she is bound to the other.”

“Surface scans?” The mage quietly asked for crification.

"I can dig deeper, even push past it, but everyone will know what I am doing," Psylocke admits.

"Hold off for now, try and get what you can from their professor." Nath'aniel requests, but now he is worried. At first, when he thought of forming this Order, he was worried about getting enough people for it to work, but he hadn't considered outsiders slipping people into it just for them to betray him. ‘A person’s word used to be worth more.’ He thought as he moved towards Magneto, who was standing beside Deadpool and Ka’zar.

However before he could get there, the two blonde women intercepted him. “My sister has settled on Saber, so can we get started soon?” The younger sister stated before he could do anything.

"Soon, the dragon line is a touch unstable after the other bindings cast so close together, so I am waiting for it to stabilize," Nath'aniel stated calmly, the lie only slightly stretched.

“None of our lessons up until now have brought up such a concern, why is it one now?” Grace the older sister asked, her tone told the mage that she was challenging him.

Yet Nath’aniel wasn’t needed to defend himself when their own professor stated. “That is because Servant bindings use five schools of magic, while most spells only use one. And if you recall your combat basics css…”

"Change your schools every couple of castings to keep the energy flowing freely.” Both Ortani and the younger sister recited together. That seemed to cool down the sisters, as one was nodding in understanding and the other was accepting what was said after watching the other do this.

The two sisters then walked back to their cimed side of the chamber, while the mage pressed on towards Magneto. Once there he subtly cast a sound-trapping spell, so that only Magneto, Deadpool, and Ka’zar would hear what he had to say.

"Psylocke is worried about those two, saying something about using tactics some of the outside governments use to defend against telepaths," Nath'aniel said ftly. Ka’zar is surprised by this, and yet neither Magneto nor Deadpool were.

The tribesmen leader nodded in agreement before saying. "I've been watching them closely ever since the one failed to qualify for the Caster css. Their moments do certainly remind me of agents of some of the government have sent after us."

“Oh yeah, those two are totally wetworks.” The mercenary muttered.

  “Wetworks?” Ka’zar asked confused.

"Assassins, hired killers, you know, the not-so-nice field agents. Or people like me, and Wolverine, who were trained and tortured till we would kill on command." The regenerator expined.

The savage tribesman's face paled when he realized that there were such institutions out there like that.

“How do you want to proceed?” Magneto asked him next.

“What do you mean? We only have concerns at this point, nothing that we can really act on.” The mage asked slightly worried.

The leader sighed, before saying. “Way I see it we have two paths we can tread, one you come up with a dey, so that we can reach out to Mystique and have her dig into their backgrounds. Option two; we create a distraction to keep all of their attention here, while you and Psylocke take the one sister in back, and she deep scans her.’

"Need I remind you, you are the st living mage? And today you've begun sharing a power that will change the future of this world. If they are already set to betray us, we need to know, sooner rather than ter."

Nath’aniel nodded in understanding. Then he looked to the half-dressed tribesman and requested. “Ka’zar would you take the set that the Ortanis are looking over, and bring it to Gypsy tell her to set it to Saber, while she is doing that you tell her that once she is done she is to come out here and teach them how to make abyssal wiring.”

The young man nodded that he would. Psylocke must have been reading some of the tribesmen's minds because she suddenly spirit jumped away.

“Furthering their understanding while also keeping all of their attention here in this room, smart.” Magneto agreed with the simple pn.

Then the sound-trapping spell broke as Keacilius stepped through it, his originally happy face quickly returned to the more expected scowl. "What happened?" He asked quietly.

“Ortani’s twins might be a pnt. We have a pn, stay on overwatch for now.” The Brotherhood leader softly ordered. The other man nodded in quick agreement.

Still, the pretty woman standing beside the future Arch-master reached out her hand towards Nath'aniel. "You must be Founder Nath'aniel, I am Adria Anker, and I wanted to thank you for all that you’ve done for me and my husband.”

Having been expined the gesture; the mage shook the woman’s hand, saying. “I am gd to have been able to help, and I hope that your life this time around is more, pleasant.” Then he shared a look with the rogue master who mouthed ‘thank you’. Before he and his wife walked towards his disciples.

While he waited for Gypsy to come out, he noticed how Keacilius whispered to Lucian. Who then whispered to another, and before long half of the rogue master’s disciples were on guard against the twins.

Then Ka’zar and Gypsy returned from the operation chamber, so it was then Nath'aniel cpped to get everyone's attention. Once they were all looking at him, he spoke loudly so that everyone would hear him. "So that you all don't feel like we wasted your time, now that all of the bind points have been finished, my disciple Gypsy will teach those of you that wish to learn how to make the abyssal wiring needed to make sets.'

"It is not a difficult task, nor is it gmorous, but it is something that you will need plenty of it made to connect all of the components together. And it is something that most can do in their free time. So if all of you would like to gather around the main table. Except for you miss. It's your turn for impntation." The mage pointed at the younger sister of the two blondes. When both sisters started to move he added. "Just her please, the process is an order secret after all."

The two sisters shared a look, before the older one stepped back, and crossed her arms in protest. Still, only the younger one moved towards him, so he continued with their pn, gesturing at She-Devil to stay behind this time.

Nath’aniel had to recall some of his lessons from his father to police his stride and features, and yet he could feel that his heart was beating faster despite the training. “It will be alright.” Psylocke telepathically reassured him, he could feel that she had rematerialized just around the corner of the adjoining chamber and was waiting for him and the target.

As he walked towards the bed, and the awaiting stabilizer he asked. “I know your sister’s name is Grace, but I have not heard yours.”

“Mary. Mary Mercy.” The young tribeswoman admitted. Then she asked. “How naked do I have to get?”

He picked up the set, and turned to face her before he answered. "I need direct access to your back, shoulder and arm. So take off your overcoat, top, and any undergarments you have on your chest as well." At first as he watched the young tribeswoman look around he feared that she would look at the hiding Psylocke, but either luck or the his Servant's Presence Concealment ability kept Mary from looking at his lover.

Instead, the young woman took off her coat, just letting the item fall to her feet. The blouse that she wore Mary teasingly unbuttoned slowly, revealing a red and bck bra that pushed up and made her moderate-sized breasts look bigger. Both the top and undergarment were treated with more respect than the coat when she folded and pced them on the same table that the previous people did.

“Like what you see?” The young tribeswoman asked him.

“Admittedly a touch appealing… but knowing you’re here to kill me does remove most of the appeal.” The mage said honestly.

Taking that as a cue, Psylocke manifested a psychic short sword and plunged the bde into the back of the woman's neck. Shock and surprise were frozen on Mary's face as the bde paralyzed the woman. As his lover walked around the frozen woman, her psychic butterfly started to appear around her head, as she also drew her real sword.

“The problem with techniques such as yours is that in small enclosed spaces, it makes you stand out from your peers.” His lover pointed out to the potential enemy.

"Who sent you to kill us?" The mage asked coldly. Nath'aniel wondered if legally could he throw a Truth spell on the woman, but then recalled how many mystic arts users were outside this chamber and decided it was safer to leave it to his lover to gleam the truth out of the other woman.

“What no, nobody.” The frozen tribeswoman answered.

“Then why are you here?” Psylocke asked before he could.

“To get stronger, and to get as far away from our father as we can," Mary admitted.

Psylocke’s butterfly was fpping its wings wildly, as she gasped. “Your Bullseye’s daughter?!”

There was a silence, as if the frozen woman had wanted to nod, but couldn’t because of the psychic bde stuck in her, so after a moment she admitted. “Yes… Grace saw him kill our mother when we were six. At twelve he started our training, which included breaking our arms and legs so that we would be more flexible in the future… at sixteen; we were introduced to a man who only said his name was Bob. Bob gave us a picture and an address of a man we were supposed to kill.”

"Finding him to be an ordinary man, you killed Bob instead and ran away. Then you use the money you found on him to steal your and your sister's new identities." His lover finished Mary's story for her.

Having learned her lesson from earlier, the frozen woman spoke her confirmation. “Yes, our original st names was Jangles.”

“And excuse me being sheltered, but who is this Bullseye?” Nath’aniel asked, terrified at the young woman’s story.

Psylocke turned to look him in the eye before she answered him. "One of the most infamous assassins in the world, he will kill for money, or even just for his reputation. And it has been said he never missed a shot… Rumor is that he also is Enhanced.”

Then they left a long pause as they let him let that soak in, but as Psylocke moved to release Mary from the paralysis, he added his own question. “If this Bullseye is such a skilled shot, why didn’t your sister qualify for Archer?”

The frozen woman’s eyes darted around, before she sighed and admitted. “Grace has his focus and motivation, while I have his skill… She was always the breacher or distraction, to my sniper.”

“It’s also why you were worried about what she would do if she went Berserker. You were worried that like him, she would attack those that she cares about.” The mage observed.

  "Yes," Mary admitted.

Nath'aniel then cast a Cleaning spell on the raised bed, before starting. "Well then, so long as you are true to the Order and to the Magi, I will see you sheltered from your father. Psylocke, assuming you feel that she is telling the truth, release her. I have a Stabilizer to install."

His lover did, first sheathing her other sword, and whispering something to the tribeswoman before removing the psychic bde from her neck. Then Mary moved to climb atop the bed, the mage tried not to see the way her young perky breasts bounced as she moved swiftly.

Before he began, he noted the marks and scars supporting the story of her 'training', which her father had put her through. As he proceeded to install the magic tools he felt safe enough to talk to the young woman. "You do know that neither you nor your sister will ever become great mystic arts users?"

“I have it easier than she does.” The young tribeswoman admitted.

“That’s because of your spark, yours is twice the size of hers, and before you ask it’s the part of your soul that affects and empathizes with other pnes… I only bring it up because I am not sure you can successfully do the binding.” Nath’aniel expined as he continued shifting the tools into her back and arm.

Mary held her breath as the tools appeared inside of her body, but once it was more or less transferred she said. "I will protect my sister, just like she will protect me."

Finished he stepped back, but continued his point. “I understand that, and given your dedication, I believe you. And I have an offer, that if you take, I would prefer that you keep it secret.”

The blonde tribeswoman sat up, before asking. “What offer?”

She smirked when he briefly gnced at her exposed breasts, but the mage ignored it and answered. “Unlike with my bindings with Psylocke and She-Devil, there was no binding circle or runes carved in pce, like there are in the back of this cave… And ritual magic does not need to be cast on the ritual master… I could stand in your pce, to bind your sister to you.”

“Going easy on her Nathy?” His lover teasingly asked from the other side of the operation suite.

Mary leapt from the bed to hug him, before answering him. “Yes, I can keep your secret. So please help us.”

“Psylocke, would you let Grace know it is time?” Nath’aniel requested from his lover. She winked, and briefly they saw her psychic butterfly form around her head, and he and Mary knew it was time to proceed to head to the back of the cave.

Grace was waiting by the back of the main chamber by the time they got there. Seeing her, the younger sister ran up to her sibling and whispered. “They know and will help us.”

Grace didn’t seem to like that, but followed her sister’s lead. The four of them did not speak while they walked the long tunnel, only the mage needed to tilt his head at the low point near the end of the tunnel, as all three women were short enough to walk under it.

“Mary, go to the far back end of the cave, do not let any part of you be inside of the circle. Grace stand in the center of the circle.” The mage instructed the twins. Psylocke pced herself between him and the now fuming older sister.

The older sister pointed at his lover and accused her, saying. "You entered my sister's mind and stole our secrets didn't you?!"

  “Grace!” Mary warned her sibling.

Nath’aniel ignored them and gathered the required mystical energy, as his lover only spoke to defend herself. “Only to confirm her story. Your father made you a danger to normal people and we needed to know where you came from.”

The mage closed his eyes to better feel their souls. Amendment Seven clearly expined the concept of binding strangers to each other, but it also stressed the need for calm. He felt the sisters, one a controlled volcano ready to burst. The other is an arrow waiting to be unleashed.

“Mutant, this isn’t done! We will again speak after this!” Grace stated.

“Silence!” Nath’aniel demanded. As his senses found the means to bind the sisters, then the words fell from his lips as he wrote the runes into reality. “Your mutual torture made you one soul in two fleshes. And yet you are the sword and the steel to keep you both alive. Your fury shall only be let loose in battle and war, and under the guidance of your blood, only then shall you find your propose. Arise Saber, and protect your sister and Master.”
