The timberwolf was running. He couldn't be late! He was already a couple minutes behind, and he's betting that Hunter's already getting angry.
He growled irritably, mostly at himself.
When he reached the hideout under the library, he waited for the rest to come. Yes, he wasn't the only one late. But they were right behind him.
The sleek furred black wolf emerged from behind the boxes, his head lowered at him. "Late again, I see?"
Twitch sighed.
Shit.
He looked into his eyes. "The others are too."
"That's not my concern, because you do it....quite frequently."
"I went through another episode." He lied.
Hunter sighed. "How you're still alive beats me. Given your condition, I'll let you lass.......FOR NOW."
Twitch bowed his head.
Eventually, the others came. Hunter nodded.
"Sorry Alpha, Valerian was on our tails again." A slim white wolf mentioned. The white wolf turned her head to Twitch.
Hunter sighed. "Valerian is a bitch, I know. No need to worry yourself Winter. Twitch just had his episode again."

Twitch great irritated and embarrassed.
"Like always." Winter murmured, rolling her eyes.
Hunter began the meeting. "Anyways, let's get going. I believe it's time we've discussed these matters. We need to leave."
Winter tilted her head. "What about the others? They'll die!"
"We'll come back for them. For now, we need to be on the hunt for new recruits. We need an army big enough to take down Azazel."
A female black wolf named Crescent snarled. "If we leave them, there will be no one to rescue!" She looked at him with worry."
Silver nodded. "And if we do, who are we hunting for? There's no others out there like US. Besides...if there ARE.....how is this going to help win our fight? Azazel and Valerian are too strong to take down!"
Hunter sighed. "The Winged Ones are who we're after. They will assist us."
Winter scoffed. "But Alpha, they're just myths!"
Hunter closed his eyes. "Winter, you've got to be more open minded. It's our only hope right now...do you want to win or not?"
Winter didn't say anything more.
Twitch sighed, and looked directly at Hunter. Winter's right...they're just a legend...they're not real and no help to us. The only one strong enough that he's heard rumors of is the one they call Shadow. Suddenly, an idea hit him. He turned to Hunter.
"What about the Necromancer?"
Hunter's hackles raised. "Don't speak of the name!"
"He could help us!" Twitch argued. "He was strong enough to raise a hundred souls back from the dead. We NEED a dead raiser in this fight!"
Hunter snarled. "Either guardian angels or bloodthirsty demons...which do you choose?"
Twitch sighed in defeat.
"Look." Hunter said as he looked at all of them, then paused. "Seriously? Wherever you been, Beast!"
Another timberwolf joined their circle, panting. "I'm sorry, Alpha."
Hunter rolled his eyes, as he turned to all of them. "Listen, we go to the old base, and we'll go from there! Use the tunnels to escape!"
Beast sighed. "If only Valerian didn't block every single one off!"
Hunter closed his eyes. "She didn't get to this one...the passage maybe, but not this secret base. Anyways, let's make a plan for our escape...you guys must follow behind me! And don't get caught!"
"Yes, Alpha." Everyone said in unison.
