The next day, Shadow stirred awake. When he stood up, he was startled. He was in his black wolf form. The menacing, devious nature that played in his very existence.

  Thats never happened before. He's NEVER transformed in his sleep!

  Changing into the boy, he walked to the entrance of the room and descended the stairs.

  He noticed everyone were huddled together, talking to each other..his gaze then went over to Hunter and Twitch as they both went outside. Ignoring the others' morning greet, he followed them. He wanted to tell them that sadly due to his nature of last time, he can't be using his magic. Hopefully, this will be a good enough excuse to break the deal.

  But when he got outside, he heard the two mumble low. To hear better, Shadow decided to change form once again, and hide within the darkness.

  "Hunter, I can't stand him being the Alpha anymore! When are you going to make your mark?" Twitch asked him with great impatience. Shadow listened in very carefully, his teeth slowly baring.

  "Don't worry, it won't be very long. Remember the plan that has just been told to us, HE will be with me as we claw our way through the blockade to our room. Trust me, things will go in perfect order!" Hunter explained.

  Twitch bowed his head in defeat. "Where would I be, Alpha...or.....Hunter?"

  "You will be out here, standing with the others. The Necromancer will make his call as we - "

  "I'm sorry, but I won't be participating in THESE matters!" Shadow comes in with a low snarl. The two turned to him. Twitch stood pale faced, while Hunter showed great disgust to his demeanor. "We had a DEAL, Necromancer!"

  Shadow barked angrily. "Betraying Max is NOT what I signed up for! If you want your friends back, then you best keep in line!" Hunter's face then flushed red with anger. Shadow continued. "Or you'll have to cross me to get what you desire...."

  Hunter chuckled and handed Twitch his blade. "You want to be the REAL man here? Haven't you heard? NO ONE can take me down, so....show me what you got!" The seventeen year old then changed his form, and growled at him. Shadow only laughed. "We'll see about THAT!"

  Then the two black wolves fought, tooth and claw. Hunter lunged at Shadow, but he dodged and clawed his spine, making Hunter cry in pain. The other black wolf then attempted again to lunge at Shadow, but he got to him first, getting right in top of him. Shadow used his sharp claws to hold him still. He grabbed his neck and thrashed, he could feel fur slowly separating from skin. But Twitch came in and pulled Shadow off before his anger could kill Hunter. When that didn't work, Twitch kicked hard into Shadow's side, making the obsidian eyes wolf yap in pain. Before Shadow can get back at Twitch, he noticed that the boy was starting to spasm, and then he screamed in pain. Hunter jumped up and changed his form, taking Twitch's arm to keep the spasming boy steady. Shadow groaned as he backed up and looked directly into the eyes of Hunter. "Like I said, KEEP your ass in line, and I won't throw you to the depths of the abyss!" He snarled as he walked away.

  Hunter chuckled. "Maybe YOU should be the Alpha instead of that rat back there!"

  Shadow snarled back, and gave him a side eye glance. "He's got a name, USE it!" He then walked off and changed his form, groaning from the pain, and clutching into his ribs.
