AN: I was binge-reading some WC DxD Fics, and even with the few good ones I found, none of them managed to scratch that "itch", you know? Had a "Fine, I will do it myself moment" and started writing, and I simply could not stop, two weeks ter I had written around 100 pages already.
Decided to post here to share it with you guys and get some human interaction as well.
PS: While this may use a lot of WC elements, it uses them very loosely. So don't expect 100% WC fidelity. Knowledge about Heritages, Talents, etc. can help you enjoy the fic more tho.
The Starting World is DxD, but extremely AU, so be warned to see some weird things.
There will eventually be other verses/worlds but in the more distant future. For now, DxD is the priority.
I will try to Post an Index or Info chapter with details of the Mc's Missions, Conditions, Limitations, etc. Just extra info for those who will bother to read it. (You can pester me ter If I forget it.).
About consistency: Don't know how consistent posting this will be, but I will do my best.
Do be aware that English is not my first nguage, so expect some grammar abominations along the way, feel free to point them out and I will do my best to correct them in my free time.
Now Here goes the first chapter, I hope you enjoy
~ClearSkySage.
~ Razen Antares Gremory ~ Razen eyelids felt heavy, almost like some superglue sealed them together. His head felt muddled as if it was stuffed with high-density cotton candy, and his thoughts were sluggish… or at least he thinks so.
And much like waking up from a very deep sleep, he slowly felt his body returning to him, it started with the hands, then the toes, legs, arms, and finally his torso.
Feeling the cool oxygen entering and exiting his lungs in that so familiar pace, Razen slowly gained energy, his mind clearing and a slew of memories assaulting him like gangsters onto a vulnerable rich dude.
"*Grooan* My Head Hurts.", mumbled Razen still trying to get a grip on his situation.
With a herculean effort, he forced his eyes open, and suddenly everything made sense.
His death at 24, The Company contacting him, the conversation with his Patron, picking his mission, making his Build, choosing his first waifu and peerage member.
His life as Razen Antares Gremory, the Son of Zeoticus Gremory and Venana Gremory and brother of the Crimson Satan Sirzechs Lucifer.
And the memories of Kevin Kasna, The CHIMERA MANTIS Soldier, the Holder of the Authority of Finality, The Fme Chaser, and wielder of the Seventh Divine Key: Judgement of Shamash and most important of all; my chosen tempte.
These memories, of course, had different weights. His memories as a normal human and as a Devil Scion were quite vivid, as if he lived through them himself, which he undoubtedly did.
His memories as Kevin were different, like a very high-quality movie/simution, and there was a certain distance between Razen's own and them, in a way that they couldn't affect him or his personality, they were, after all, a simple tempte.
Thanks to his heritage Perks, his mind quickly reviewed all his memories, perfectly sorting and categorizing them, almost like a supercomputer. His main and for now only Goetia, quickly read and processed them, particurly paying attention to all the information belonging to his chosen element: Force.
His Aethermorphic body immediately started absorbing the residues of his element contained in the atmosphere around him, transforming them into Patterned Elemental Weave, that slowly filled his Pocket Space.
Like an old and rusty car that has been completely renovated, Razen felt great, his Demonic Mana flowed as smoothly as cool water on polished marble tubes, and the body that had never seen exercise in 17 years, felt better and better by the second, his Evolutionary Engine Array working overtime to transform the pitiful state of his body into the so desired Perfection of the Aethermorph; To Seek Perfection Via Magical means. It will take time and effort, as all things that are worth it in life do, but Razen knows it will be more than worthwhile.
For the first time since he was in that room chatting with his Patron, he felt that choosing the Aethermorph Heritage was worth it. It brought him a unique type of satisfaction that was difficult to put into words.
While a part of his now improved mind focused on making pns to train, develop his Kevin tempte, and create his Demonic Core, Razen finally took stock of the room he was in.
Any half-assed fan of DxD would instantly recognize this room, it was the Occult Research Club's Main Office room; Two big and comfortable sofas facing each other with a small wooden table in the middle, looking down Razen saw an ornate wooden desk with a throne-like chair where he is currently sitting, a chair he fully admits, even with his new supernatural senses going on overdrive, is incredibly comfortable.
Sitting on the corner of the right sofa is someone Razen instantly recognized, his chosen Waifu and his first Peerage member.
She is a young woman of tall female stature, a pale complexion, and eyes that appear to exhibit sectoral heterochromia, fading from dark purple to pale yellow. Her hair is choppy, unevenly cut, and of a beautiful light blue color. Resting on her head is a bck headband above her bangs with a four-pointed silver, white, and blue hairpin to her left.
Her face was delicate noble and extremely attractive, to the point Razen's Heart started beating faster, almost on instinct his gaze went down, drinking on her beautiful and curvaceous figure, his sapphire blue eyes briefly stopping on her hips and tights, for such perfect and beautiful things MUST be worshipped. The biggest and most beautiful sppy on Teyvat indeed.
She wore her cssical Wavecrest Waltz outfit, which fitted her snugly and perfectly, even if her tights almost fell like they would burst from their "constraints" at any moment, Razen knows for a fact they are immensely durable and would only look like so.

[colpse]"I feel like you are thinking quite a few rude things about me, Master.", spoke Eu in her captivating voice, which in real life, sounded even more beautiful.
Razen smiled slightly; "Quite the opposite my dear Knight."
Eu narrowed her eyes and let out a low *humph* that sounded incredibly adorable in Razen's ears.
"Well… Just to be sure… You are aware of the company, yes?", asked Razen in a low but serious tone.
Sensing the seriousness of the question Eu nodded.
"Good, good…. And your background?".
"Quite a bit simir to the one I had in Teyvat master, I am the Heiress of a Fallen Noble house, Joined a knight order in Europe, Specialized in Ice Magic and Swordsmanship. Was eventually saved by you during a failed mission, thus subsequently agreeing to join your peerage. The other Co-Owner has already been forewarned about my presence, and I have already been matricuted at Kuoh Academy.", answered the Spindrift Knight, almost as if she was reporting a mission.
Adjusting his sitting position Razen smiled; "Excellent, I was a little bit worried Macroz wouldn't add that tidbit.".
"Master, I sincerely doubt your Patron would lie to you.", pointed out Eu in a slight deadpan.
"True, he is not the type to lie, nor does he need to for whatever reason.", Razen nodded in appreciation before his gaze sharpened a bit; " Now that we are somehow situated, let's talk about our mission.".
"Our first and primary Objective is to get stronger, as strong as we can and as fast as possible.", Eu nodded enthusiastically; "I wholeheartedly agree Master.", the knight then scowled; "Whatever happened, I feel quite a bit weaker, as if I stayed years, even decades without practicing or even moving.".
"Like you are rusty?", Razen inquired.
Eu nodded; "Close enough.".
"I am quite a bit worse than that, Razen Antares Gremory was a waste, a massive waste to the point Millicas is on the precipice of becoming Heir. 17 years as a noble Scion of incredible pedigree, almost infinite resources, and access to the best trainers the underworld has to offer and he did nothing.", Razen closed his eyes and sighed; "And he is exactly as I was at 17, a depressive and zy person to the core. Which is not surprising as he is well… me. Someone that I hate and cost me much to change once.".
Eu approached, her delicate hand closing around Razen's own, offering comfort; "Master…", she mumbled with hidden sadness, more than understanding where Razen was coming from.
Looking at Eu, his sapphire-like eyes shining with softness and appreciation; "Please Eu, call me Razen or Antares, you are not my servant, you are my family.".
"I… Understood Antares.", Eu complied, feeling her heart beating quite a little bit faster. Razen just smiled, pleased with this development.
"That stuff is all in the past now, right now we have more urgent matters to worry about… one of the main ones being the timeline.", Stated Antares, already feeling a headache forming.
"According to Macroz, this version of DxD is way different, there is a mix match of different characters, timelines, and a bunch of other things. One particur Patron was messing around with Multicross-Type starting worlds and created whatever this is, He then sold it to Macroz at a bargain price, and the tter then repurposed and changed a few things before passing it to his most recent contractor; me.".
"So most of your Knowledge will not be useful right?", added Eu with a small and cute frown.
Razen nodded; "Yep, I can already point at a bunch of things that are massively different, for example; I have no peerage, No Koneko, No Kiba, No Gasper, and much less Akeno. You are literally my first peerage member. Another example is that there is no Perverted Trio here at Kuoh, not to mention the Hyoudou Family does not exist.", He then pushed a paper that was on his desk towards Eu, It was a registry of every single family in Kuoh, and there was zero mention of the Hyoudou, they did not exist, even in the past.
"I can feel that you are getting a little lost, so let me expin it to you…", Razen then proceeded to expin the DxD, ExE, Ssh Dog, and everything he could remember of the franchise to Eu, doing his best to be as detailed as possible, it took quite a few hours, but by the end, he managed to properly bring Eu up to speed.
Eating a very fancy and protein-rich stakeout, Razen finished his expnation; "And that is it, in one, perhaps two years tops, everything is going to shit.".
"You just expined to me about the butterfly effect, won't that change the outcome of things happening?", Eu wisely pointed out, while appreciating the juicy and succulent meat of a wagyu beef.
Razen stopped, feeling a little bit speechless for a moment; "Well, I concede you are right. Things probably changed a lot, principally considering just how important those characters were, both to their respective factions and to the world itself. They having a different fate, is no small matter."
"But while we can't count on my metaknowledge much, We know for a fact Trihexa is out there, waiting to destroy the world or something simir, so we should prepare.".
Eu nodded, taking a sip of her fresh orange juice; "Should we tell someone? Your brother for example.".
"That won't work, besides the fact I have negative credibility to anyone who knows me. Macroz just messaged me and I quote; 'Deal with your own problems, getting help is fine, but don't overdo it.'. Which means, no crying or begging for help.".
Eu sighed; "The old-fashioned way it is then.", smirking, she continued; "We train, get stronger, and beat the monster. Simple, no?".
Razen snorted; "Simple enough for me.", taking a deep breath and cleaning the leftovers of their stakeout Razen smiled; "How should we start? I have some ideas, but I would like to hear what you have to say first.".
Eu tapped her chin in thought; "Hmm, Let's take inventory first, see the resources we have at hand to improve ourselves. First our equipment."
Tapping on her beautiful clothes, Eu smirked smugly when she saw Razen's gaze; "I have my Outfit.". she then extended her hand towards her back, making a blue-colored greatsword appear; "My Sword, Song of Broken Pines. And besides that, just a few other miscelneous items that I carried with me but nothing big and, of course, my 'Ice Magic'.".
"So your Cryo Vision is still working them?", asked Razen curiously.
"Correct, but instead of being a source, it is working more like a magical focus, akin to a Wand or Staff that amplifies and focuses my 'magic'.".
"I supposed it kind of makes sense how you got 'Rusty', you changed from Elemental Energy to Demonic Magic, such an abrupt change… Luckily Devils have imagination-based magic, so you should be able to transte all your previous skills into spells rather easily.", added Razen hopefully.
Eu nodded; "That is my aim, yes.".
"I suppose it's my turn now.", Razen scratched his head, feeling a little awkward; "My only equipment is this sword, The Seventh Divine Key: Judgement of Shamash", he then summoned the Greatsword, quickly unsummoning it soon after, "Sadly, I can't fully use it yet. And while I paid for my Tempte to include the full CHIMERA MANTIS Surgery, thus becoming the first DEVIL CHIMERA MANTIS and my Aethermorph Heritage already perfectly assimited and digested it, those skills and powers will need to be trained and refined, to grow, just like any other muscle. Not to mention my skill with the Parvati ICHOR is honestly extremely poor at the moment, so no Judgment of Shamash for now, and while the tempte will undoubtedly help, I still need to work for it.".
"In terms of magic, much like Rias in the Cannon Timeline, I inherited the Bael Cn Trait, Power of Destruction. But I probably won't be able to use it in the future, so we should skip training it.".
"Why?", asked Eu feeling it would be an immense waste not to use such a powerful Bloodline Trait.
"Oh, that is because of the Element that I chose for my Aethermorph Heritage: Force. And considering it is a Higher-ranking element, it has been slowly devouring my Power of Destruction since I arrived, and it will either eat it completely or mutate it into something like A completely new Bloodline Trait; Power of Force".
"Other than that, I have the other typical stuff all other Devil Scions must know; Teleportation, Contracts, Hypnosis, etc..", spoke Antares with a small flourish of his hand.
"Regarding pure resources, I have a bck credit card with virtually infinite amounts of money. But we shouldn't buy big stuff like; jets, mansions, or other extremely expensive things, I definitely do not want to give more reasons for my parents to nag me.", added Razen with a little bit of trepidation at the end.
"That is not a small advantage Antares… being able to use money as much as we want is-", Eu felt a little lost for words.
Razen smiled; "Incredible advantageous, I know. We can buy high-quality food, perhaps even Mana Rich food to add to our diet, such proper nutrition will go a long way in making us stronger. Yeah, the daily bonus is incredibly small, but any mana-rich food is much better than any mundane protein shake or simir stuff.".
Eu nodded in appreciation, she was happy her master thought so forward.
"Not to mention we can also buy proper Gym Equipment, as even a massive chump like me, who never trained a day in his life, can easily lift more than a Ton. So proper gym equipment to train our muscles is a must.", Razen paused for a moment, his memories quickly supplying an answer that made him smile slightly; "Luckily I don't think we will need to buy training equipment any time soon, My Brother made sure I had the best possible training facility money could buy, I went there only once to look at the stuff, but we definitely have something that will serve us well into quite a high level."
"That's excellent news! I am quite excited to look at it myself.".
"And we surely will, but there is something we must do before.", said Razen with a very serious tone, almost throwing Eu off with the suddenness of it all.
"And what would that be?".
"Shopping of course.", answered the boy with a smile.
Eu let out a surprised and adorable; "Eh!?"
"My dear Knight, you only have the clothes on your person, so you definitely need more clothes, probably a few pairs of shoes as well. Not to mention a cellphone, and a ptop, and-"
Eu Interrupted him a little exasperated; "I understand Antares.", she then sighed; "Liking it or not I just have what I can carry with me, so a shopping trip is definitely a must.".
"Yup.", Antares then looked at his HUD's time; "It looks like it's 3 P.M right now, so the mall should still be open.". With practiced ease, he summoned his company cellphone and called an Uber.
Shopping when you have an unlimited amount of money is a surprisingly fun endeavor. You fancy something, you buy it, simple as that. Well, it's not like Eu or Razen were buying 200 pairs of Gucci shoes or something equally asinine., so they weren't spending that much amount of money.
Like the two talked about before, they mostly bought stuff for Eu, things that she would need and use on her routine; clothes, working out outfits, running shoes, fancy shoes, sandals, flip-flops, a few purses, hygiene products, etc.
Razen used the opportunity to get an overhaul on his style, getting a few pairs of shirts, pants, and other stuff that fit his more mature taste, he also made sure to buy plenty of workout outfits and a few accessories he thought he would need; water bottles, towels, sports shoes and etc.
He also bought a pair of watches to use with his new clothes, and while a watch use has steadily diminished as technology got more advanced, as he got older Razen started to grow a slight appreciation and fondness for them. He didn't go for a specific brand or anything, he just selected the two he liked the most and bought them, they were quite a bit discrete, but he liked them even more for it.
Their real buying spree came when they arrived at an electronic store; Antares made sure to buy the best computers possible for both of them, the best ptop, the best cellphone, and a bunch of screens and monitors to go along with them, uncaringly for their price. He also brought two of each gaming console and a copy of every single game the store had to offer.
Thankfully, when you have money, it is just a simple matter of paying the right price for the stuff to be delivered to your home.
The next stop was at a bookstore, where Antares bought a copy of every single book they had in stock, focusing mainly on the Fiction and Science section. He then went to a Comic book store and did the same.
It was after the Comic Book Store that the two decided to stop and have dinner, a simple Pepperoni pizza with a strawberry milkshake. Simply divine.
"Hey Antares, why buy that many books and games? It is not like we will have time to fool around with that stuff…", asked Eu curiously.
Taking a big gulp of his milkshake, the boy smiled slightly; "It's for inspiration mostly."
"Inspiration?", the girl asked out loud, trying to guess it herself.
"We have Imagination-Based Magic Eu, literally infinite possibilities. And if one day we get stuck on our training, we can always defer to a few games or novels for inspiration.", expined the boy happily.
Eu nodded, seeing where her Master was coming from.
"No to mention, it helps us choose Temptes.", added the boy a little more seriously.
"Temptes?", asked the Knight curiously while taking a sip from her shake.
"Yup. While I am currently limited to just a single tempte as per my Patron conditions. As I slowly get more peerage members, such restrictions will eventually be lifted, giving even you, eventually, the opportunity to choose a tempte. So having access to such media will help us tremendously, heck perhaps there is some obscure novel or game that has quite a useful character for you to tempte Stack. And while we can't buy a tempte for you now, having your character in mind beforehand is an immense help.".
"It is also quite a good pastime, no?", added Eu with a smirk.
Razen chuckled; "That as well.".
"Is there anything left for us to buy?", Pondered Eu out loud.
Razen pondered for a bit before it finally dawdled on him; "The School Uniform.", he then added, more like just voicing his thoughts out loud; "I don't pn on wasting my time with the Japanese school system at all, but there are a few csses that I am interested in attending. But considering my Heritage Perks I will undoubtedly grow bored of it very fast.".
"Well, I am mostly interested in it to get a feel for the Local culture, this is a whole new world for me after all. So I will probably be attending csses regurly.", Eu said the st part while looking at Razen from the corner of her eye, almost as if seeking permission for what she voiced out loud.
Antares nodded; "If that is what you want, you have my full support. Just be aware that the moment I outgrow high school, I will be hypnotizing the staff and the Principal to get my diploma and then attend Kuoh University to pursue the degrees in the subjects that interest me the most.".
Eu raised her eyebrow: "Oh, and what would that be?"
"Physics, Nutrition, Physical Education, Biology, and perhaps something or other in Tech or Art. But that is the far future, so Physics and Nutrition for now.", expined Razen while nodding.
"I can understand the usefulness, but wouldn't that be way too time-consuming?", asked Eu a little worried.
"Well, I will mostly just attend a few csses to get a feel for the subject, study it on my own, and then do the Final Test to get my diploma. It will require a few uses of Hypnosis to grease the wheels of bureaucracy, but it should be doable.".
Eu smirked; "And the face Sitri-san will make when you are more than qualified to be a teacher in her own school, while she wastes time pying school president is just a bonus, right?"
"A very enticing and juicy bonus, yes.", replied Antares with an equally smug smirk.
Finishing their meal, the two bought a box of 64 donuts as a takeout and went to buy a few pairs of uniforms each.
Now, it was time to go back home.
Unsurprisingly, Razen had quite the big state close to Kuoh Academy, It was a massive mansion made in a mix of Victorian and Japanese styles, with five floors up and five floors down, a massive basement specially made into a high-end training facility that would make even someone like Sona green with envy. It was beautiful, it was majestic, and it was now his home.
"Impressive house master, it sort of reminds me of the manors my family used to have. The garden and the forest around are quite impressive as well, giving a refreshing and cozy feeling to the state, whatever made this, knew what they were doing.", praised Eu while her eyes scanned their surroundings.
"Oh!? Did you like it that much? Let me give you a tour while we wait for our stuff to be delivered.", Razen offered with a warm smile.
He first started with the bedrooms, showing Eu his bedroom aka the Master bedroom, So spacious and big was the master bedroom that it occupied half of a floor, something Razen was quite proud of, as he never understood those rich people who have the urge to make small bedrooms.
Razen continued showing Eu the bedrooms while urging her to pick one, reluctantly, Eu picked the bedroom just beside Razen's.
Then he showed her the Bathrooms, The Library, Gaming Room, Office Room, Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, and most of the other rooms above the surface as well.
When he was going to show her the levels below, they heard the honking sound of the delivery truck.
Tipping the driver handsomely, Razen hypnotized him to ignore everything while he put all of his and Eu's stuff into his pocket apartment.
After finally picking up their stuff and putting the things they bought into the appropriate pces, the duo finally went to check the underground levels.
Most of the underground rooms, unsurprisingly, were either staff rooms(which were empty), storage rooms, a few pool rooms, and other miscelneous rooms, or also outright empty rooms, not to mention the garage, which was empty as well.
"Not to sound mean or anything, but who takes care of the pce? It looks positively spotless from what I can see.", asked Eu curiously.
"Oh, a maid squad comes every week to thoughtfully take care of all cleaning and repairs needed. They are incredibly skilled and efficient, not to mention that they are trained by my Brother's Wife; Grayfia.".
Eu hummed in acknowledgment.
The two soon reached the door of the training facility, positively giddy for what awaited them beyond those doors.
Putting his hand in the middle of the door, Antares sent a pulse of his mana, and immediately a red-glowing Gremory Sigil appeared in the middle of it.
*Pshhhhhhh*
With the sound of pressurized air being released, the door opened to show the view inside.
What greeted them was an incredibly advanced and high-tech gym, with every single gym apparel Antares could imagine, and probably many he didn't even know of. The gym was massive and stretched way beyond the borders of the mansion.
The environment was perfectly climatized, now set on a fresh and cool temperature.
On the left wall, there were the bathrooms and changing rooms, comfortable showers, saunas, bedrooms, kitchens, and many more facilities. Razen wondered if he could literally live here if he wanted.
On the right side were the pools, and many other rooms containing different terrains; from a snowy cold tundra, deserts, rainforests, to volcanic hellscapes.
On the wall opposite to the entrance, there was a massive door, easily twice as tall and twice as wide as Razen and Eu put together. Without hesitation, the duo opened the door much in the same manner as the entrance one and entered the room to check it out.
The room was massive, easily the size of an entire football stadium, height and all. Its walls were made of some kind of highly reinforced material that took a Ball of Power of Destruction head-on without showing a single scratch. Razen wondered if that said more about the quality of the material or just how weak he was right now.
Going back to the Gym, Eu let out a breath she didn't know she was holding; "Impressive. Just looking at this pce one can see how much your Brother and parents care about you.".
Antares nodded, feeling quite a bit ashamed; "They do, they care too much even. And I treated them so harshly and rudely…".
Eu gripped his hand gently; "Don't worry Antares, you are not the same man. Prove that all they know about the zy Antares was wrong, show them that you are strong and competent, and show them that you care. And I bet they will forgive and be extremely happy for you.".
Antares sighed; "You're right… doesn't mean I can't feel guilty about the way I treated them in the past thought.".
Eu hugged him; "Don't worry. I am here right now as well, and I will help you as much as I can.".
Feeling the warm and soft body pressing against him did wonders to improve Antares' mood; "Thank you, Eu.". Antares felt like he could stay forever like this, and he would spend his eternity happy. Unfortunately, reality rarely offers more than brief moments of respite.
Separating from each other, the duo avoided each other's gazes, trying to hide the growing blush covering their cheeks.
Coughing on his hand, Antares looked at the gym equipment around him; "So… Want to work out a bit? Test our bodies out and all…".
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Eu nodded; "Sure thing.", she agreed way too quickly, trying to hide another glowing blush at Antares' choice of words.
Walking towards a simple lifting machine, Antares started expining; "Well, If I am not mistaken, A Devil, even a newly reincarnated one, is roughly 10 Times stronger than your average human. So If your average human has a lifting Weight of 70 Kg, a Low-Css Reincarnated Devil should be around 700 kg.".
Sitting on the lifting machine he selected the one-ton weight while he continued expining; "Of course, things aren't as straightforward as that, If one is reincarnated as a Rook they should be way stronger, or if they had some kind of bloodline, Sacred Gear or something else that gives them a physical boost. There are innumerable possibilities, but the ten times boost is a rough, yet kind of unreliable, estimative.".
"Hmm, elemental powers aside, I was a normal human before. So I reckon I must've received quite the physical boost, if nothing else.", added Eu while cupping her chin in deep thought.
"Yup, going by fate parameters, it's like your strength went from Rank F(Normal Human) to Rank E(10x Human). But if your strength was like 7 before, It should be 15 or 16 right now, the higher it was, the more difficult it is to raise it after all.".
Razen then tried lifting the One Ton weight, and he almost fell to the ground from just how light it felt to him, doubling the weight, he still felt it was incredibly light, doubling it once more to 4t he still felt it was still light, he continued in this cycle until he hit 10t, where he found it incredibly difficult to lift it.
"Me, for example, I got the Aethermorph heritage. My strength went from around a Single Ton, to 10t. But this isn't just because my physical body got better, Devils are peculiar in the sense that, the stronger their magic is, the stronger is their body. Aethermorph being a heritage that aims to reach perfection via magical means, shows that the biggest boost was to my magic, which caused the feedback loop to my body as well.".
Eu paused; "Does that mean that physical training is useless?".
Antares chuckled; "The opposite actually. A Devil's magic and body are connected, so if you train your body…". Eu easily completed the phrase; "You train your magic as well.".
"Yup. Then there are also the other bonuses, my brother expined it once to me, that the difference between a Devil who trains their body and one who doesn't, it's Like the difference between your average Joe accountant and Mohamed Ali in his prime. So even if both of them had an equal amount of magic, If Joe the Accountant and Ali were to fight, Ali would win 99% of the time. Not to mention the other side benefits, much like an athletic human, training our bodies will give us better stamina, reflexes, higher endurance, and much, much more.".
Eu nodded; "I understood what you mean, but I have one single question.".
Razen raised his eyebrow; "Shoot.".
"Who is Mohamed Ali?", Razen almost did a spit take.
A few minutes ter, after showing Eu some of Ali's highlights on YouTube, the duo continued testing their limits on the gym equipment, slowly categorizing and getting more familiar with their strength.
Unsurprisingly enough, Eu's strength easily hit the 16t Mark, and her speed easily outpaced Razen by more than trice. He was kind of already expecting it, considering how well-trained and dedicated Eu was, but it doesn't mean he couldn't be surprised still.
At the end of their training, Eu raised an interesting question; "Earlier I was reading about your Heritage Perks on the company app. Shouldn't you be something like a Tier 7 Aethermorph according to your Perks?".
Razen snorted; "That is mostly Macroz's fault, He said it would be too boring for me to start so strong. So While, yes, I do have all these perks, I will have to slowly assimite and digest them, Oh, he also said that training will help speed up the process.".
"Aren't you upset with him?", asked Eu a little tentatively.
Antares ughed; "Upset? How could I be upset with the guy who literally allowed me to live my dream? How anyone could be so self-centered and arrogant?".
Eu smiled slightly, a blush adorning her cheeks. She didn't miss the part that she also belonged to his Dream. It made her happy and warm inside.
"Now…", Antares smiled; "How about we test our magic for a bit?"
Eu instantly agreed, feeling a small rush of excitement.
Picking a few wooden dummies on the way, the duo quickly arrived at the arena. Taking fifty steps toward the center, they position the dummies sporadically and randomly.
Waving his hands Antares smiled; "Ladies first?". Eu let out a cute and brief blush before stepping forward.
Eu stepped forward, her left hand resting on her Cryo Vision, while her right hand rose, her palm facing one of the dummies. Drawing from her experience, she agitated her Demonic Mana, making it bubble forth, a demonic circle appeared, the Gremory symbol clearly stamped on it, and the circle color turned light blue almost white before a small icicle started forming in front of it, Eu fed more of her mana and the Icicle quickly grew in the shape of a very familiar sword.
With a small cute huff, she pushed her hand forward, the Ice sword shooting off like a heavy arrow. It hit the wooden dummy she was aiming at squarely in the chest, making it tumble and fall backward.
"Nice!", she shouted excitedly at her success, almost skipping in pce. Eu definitely expected worse results, but the Imagination aspect of the magic really helped.
But as happy as she was, Eu also noticed just how much more expensive it was than she was used to. And she said as much to Razen.
Razen Martial and Soul talent worked overtime to analyze it; "Hmmm, the first thing that comes to mind is; control. Perhaps as your control over Demonic Power grows, your efficiency at using it will also grow.", he then thought about it a little more deeply; "Refining the spell also should take certain priority.".
Eu nodded; "Indeed, as happy as I am at being successful on the first try, I know for a fact that such a spell is far from being combat-viable. If I can't cast it in less than 0.5 seconds, then forget about using it in combat, perhaps I should even aim for the instant cast if possible.".
"Definitely.", Antares instantly approved; "If as weak as we are right now we could probably, somewhat, see a bullet. At higher levels…. yeah, definitely refine our spells as much as possible.".
Curiously, Eu looked at Razen; "Well, I have my usual skills that I will try to transform into spells, so I have somewhat of a direction to go. What about you?".
"I was thinking I should go with the cssics.", spoke Razen while stretching his right hand forward; "A Forceball, Force Spear, and perhaps Force Push Spell? I feel like these three are a reasonable enough starting point.".
"Why not a defensive spell as well?", Eu pointed out.
"That is a pretty good suggestion.", the crimson-haired devil nodded; "Perhaps when I get a little better… I should go for a Wall of Force then?".
Eu nodded; "I don't know much about Force spells, but if it is simir enough to an Ice Wall, then its versatility alone is worth the investment.".
Antares nodded, before focusing inside of himself, feeling the now smooth flow of his Demonic Mana, grasping at it and urging it towards his hand. His poor control quickly showed itself, making a lot of the Demonic Mana he grasped dissipate into the air, wasting a lot of it along the way to his right hand.
But his Soul Talent shone through, with each second he spent interacting with his mana, his control got a tide minuscule bit better, and with each use of his mana, his overall grasp of it improved. Just by trying to cast this spell, he was at least twice as good with his mana compared to yesterday.
The mana exited his body and started forming a Magic Circle, slowly forming into the fabled Gremory House emblem. And like flipping a switch with his Will, he instantly transformed his mana into Force.
It was easy, instinctual, as if his body, no, his very being itself was FORCE.
The usual red color of the circle turned into silverish white, shining like a glittering diamond. The mana-turned force congregated roughly into a ball shape, it condensed and condensed, becoming more and more like a perfect sphere, and when it was roughly the size of a baseball, it reached its fission point. Without hesitation, Razen prepared to unch it, putting his full concentration behind the act, he aimed at a dummy and…
The Forceball exploded.
