TBE Chapter 33

  The next day, Ezekiel woke up before his brothers so he went to the next to next house which was the dining room ssh kitchen. He thought about cooking but honestly, as long as he earned enough coins, the food avaible in his system shopping site was enough for them since they were not that costly and there were healthy options avaible.

  The section for food was overwhelming. The cooked food alone came from different restaurant franchises which meant that although his system shopping site looked like the famous shopping site from where he came from on Earth, the one that starts with the letter “A”, it was infinitely more powerful.

  Ezekiel experimented on searching for a portion of healthy cooked food in his search bar on the first page and when he saw the results, he typed the name of the meal in the shopping site, and there they were. They could be purchased and the cooked meal would appear on his 4th Space Tab.

  One good example was when he searched for healthy recipes, a list of healthy meals appeared on the Food Network website, one of them that tickled his fancy was the Pan-seared Salmon with Kale and Apple Sad and when he went to his system shopping site, and typed “Food Network Pan-seared Salmon with Kale and Apple Sad”, there it was and could be purchased for 3 copper coins.

  That meant that if he and his brothers wanted to eat something like that, he just needed to spend a total of 9 copper coins. Based on his other search, a typical meal for the three of them would roughly cost him 10 to 15 copper coins per meal.

  With the amount of coins that Ezekiel had, it still wasn’t sustainable so he decided that it would still be best for him to buy ingredients and cook the food. A pity since if he didn’t need to cook, he could repce the dining room house with a study house so they could use it to study and when it was time for him to teach his brothers their letters, they could use the study room as well.

  For now, it wasn’t a big deal for him to cook so he would just stick to cooking first until they had the financial freedom to just order food directly from his system shopping site. He prepared breakfast for his brothers and himself with one of the dishes that he cooked before, which was bacon, eggs, and pancakes then milk spelled to taste like strawberry milk and their daily vitamins.

  Soon, Robert and Luke woke up and Ezekiel assumed that both boys followed their noses since they barged into the dining room. When they saw him waiting for them with the food on the table already prepared, they thanked their brother and they all began to eat.

  After their meal, the three brothers went to the washroom to take a shower. Since they were all so small, the washtub was big enough for the three of them to shower and while they did so, Ezekiel cleaned their clothes as well using his Prestidigitation spell. He also made sure to ask his brothers to brush their teeth so the three of them would get used to doing so regurly.

  After bathing, Robert and Luke went to the bedroom house to get their backpacks while Ezekiel went to the house that was used as a stable for Prince Charming. As expected, the house stinks since it was full of shit by the donkey but with a cast of his Prestidigitation spell that was slotted to all 11 slots, the whole house and Prince Charming became thoroughly clean.

  It was eight in the morning when they went out to go to the vilge market. Before they left, Ezekiel made sure to prepare the spells that he might need on the way.

  “Aren’t you going to lock our houses?” Robert asked.

  “They’re magically locked and the only ones who can enter them are us,” Ezekiel answered.

  While they were driving Prince Charming, they were moving slowly enough that he allowed Robert to drive the cart. While they were moving, Ezekiel noticed something important in the first tab of his system browser where the character panel was located. Their date of birth was stated there and it said that Luke’s birthday was going to be in two days. Robert’s was going to be after three months and his birthday was going to be in five months, which was exactly the same as the original body’s birthday on Earth.

  The dates on the character were stated in Earth’s time and he wondered if it would change once Ezekiel learned the history of this world. Once he mastered reading and writing, he would devour all the books in Mr. Duvon’s small library.

  When they got near the vilge, Ezekiel checked their location and when he saw that there was no one watching them, he immediately retrieved the seven wolf corpses and put them in the cart then they headed directly to the butcher.

  “Oh, more wolves?” The butcher asked when he saw what Ezekiel brought.

  “Yes. They all foolishly entered the trap I set up deep inside the forest,” Ezekiel said but the butcher just rolled his eyes.

  “I’ll give you 3 silver coins for all of them,” The butcher said and Ezekiel just nodded.

  After the butcher took the corpses of the wolves from the cart with the help of his men, Ezekiel and his brothers headed to the part of the market where the furniture was being sold. He surreptitiously cleaned the cart using his Prestidigitation spell then when he checked that no one was watching when they passed by an alley, he retrieved the bed with mattress, bedsheets, bnkets, pillows with pillowcases, and wardrobe that he purchased from his system shopping site and put them on the cart.

  Ezekiel was thankful that the cart was big enough for those things and when they reached the part of the market where the furniture was being sold, he headed directly to the nearest one. The furniture seller happily bought the bed and wardrobe from him for 8 silver coins. He didn’t earn much from them but it was better than just disposing them through the garbage bin in his system shopping site.

  He was just gd that the furniture merchant didn’t ask too many questions but more than likely it was because there were a few customers already interested in the bed and the wardrobe.

  After all those businesses were done, Ezekiel and his brothers went to Mr. Duvon’s house so he could continue learning his letter from the old teacher.

  Ezekiel was just gd that his brothers were very easy to get along with and they were not high maintenance. They would be happy to just py in the courtyard with their toys or busy themselves pying with each other or just using their coloring books. He was just a bit sad that they didn’t have any other friends to py with.

  He decided that Ezekiel would grandly celebrate Luke’s birthday. He would buy toys for Luke and prepare a feast for them to enjoy.

  During the lesson, Mr. Duvon was surprised at how fast Ezekiel learned. It wasn’t really fair to compare him to a regur teenager though since he was already a grown-up professional before he transmigrated to this world. Ezekiel couldn’t wait to truly learn how to read so he could begin studying the history of this pnet or at least the history of this part of their world. He had so many questions and he knew that he would need those questions to be answered so he could survive or even thrive in this world.

  After their lessons, Ezekiel and his brothers went to the vilge park, or what they call “Vilge Green” to eat their lunch there. This time nobody came to interrupt their lunch. He served one of the dishes that he cooked to himself and his brothers and cold water and after they were done, they began their journey home.

  Ezekiel and his brothers arrived back at their home without any problems so after he parked the cart in front of the house and turned stable, he led the donkey inside and fed and watered the animal.

  He then renewed the Galder’s Tower spell to make sure that the houses wouldn’t disappear on them. He actually forgot to renew it this morning before they left even though Ezekiel told himself that he should do it once every morning and once every evening but he realized that it doesn’t matter anyway. Even if the Galder’s Tower houses disappeared, the items he kept inside that he purchased from the system shopping site would be safely manifested outside and he could just cast the spell again and the houses would re-appear.

  Ezekiel then told Robert and Luke to py outside but remembered to cast Mage Armor on them for safety reasons. He then thought that he should go ahead and get a familiar so he would have someone to look after his brothers so he immediately purchased the 1st level spell Find Familiar for 1 silver coin then cast it. He chose the Snowy Owl since he liked it when he read the book about the wand-bearing boy. He also made sure to imagine the whitest Snowy Owl and the owl appeared, it was so white that it almost looked like a ghost.

  Ezekiel named the Snowy Owl Yuki Onna. When Robert and Luke saw the owl he immediately told them that Yuki Onna was now their pet and would ensure they were safe.

  “Pretty!” Luke said he saw Yuki Onna.

  The owl then flew and nded gently toward Ezekiel's arms. Robert and Luke immediately began petting the bird and the familiar allowed them to. He tried communicating with the owl and they talked with each other using images and intention through telepathy.
