TBE Chapter 53

  Since it was early, around four in the afternoon, Ezekiel decided to spend the rest of the afternoon practicing his woodwork. Of course, before he started he made sure that Prince Charming was comfortable in his stable and had enough food and water.

  He also told his brother that they could use the time to play and Ezekiel even allowed them to play outside the houses as long as they didn’t go far. He was comfortable with Robert and Luke in having their adventure in the forest since he did cast the spell Mage Armor on them and Yuki Onna assured him that there was no danger nearby. His snowy owl familiar would also look after them and because he was connected with Yuki Onna, the owl would inform him immediately if anyone or anything came close to his brothers.

  When he saw that Prince Charming was comfortable and his brothers were now busy playing he went to the kitchen since it was his temporary workroom. The first thing that he thought of making was a simple box since he had not handled any woodworking project for a while and a wooden box would allow him to familiarize himself with handling the tools and the wood again.

  Anton also avoided using any other spell aside from the Mage Hand spell and was only using the said spell as an auxiliary tool since he discovered that even though the Mage Hand spell ability was dependent on the ability of the crafter, exclusively using it would not allow the crafter to increase his mastery over the craft so now he was only using it to reach for things.

  He knew that the Tiny Servant spell would also be very useful in crafting since the spell could clearly conjure tiny assistants that could do the job that only required repetitions like sanding the wood but he avoided that as well since again, being lazy like that would not increase his expertise.

  Ezekiel’s main purpose for crafting wooden items was to become a master woodworker. Not to produce items that he could sell immediately since his system shopping site would provide him with the items that he could sell. Once he was a master, then he could sell the items that he could create and also he could use his spells to automate some of the processes which would allow him to create a huge number of wooden arts and crafts. His goal as a master woodworker was to be able to create large items like dining tables and chairs, cabinets, beds, and more.

  He knew that there was a mountain that he would need to climb to even call himself a capable woodworker. He didn’t even know the types of wood much less the terms that he should be using. He had even read some guides talking about aligning with the grain of the wood and he had no idea what that meant. Ezekiel knew that continuing learning about being a woodworker alone would constitute a massive amount of research that he needed to conduct online but ultimately, if he wanted to continue with the path of a master crafter, he would need to find himself a teacher.

  Ezekiel was not sure if he could continue that path since he did have a system that would allow him to grow as a wizard. He knew that the most advantageous thing that he could do with his life in this world was to focus on increasing his wizard level but the fact that he didn’t know how to increase his level aside from killing was making him uncomfortable. He knew that there must be some other way but the fact that at that moment, his spells were enough to live comfortably with his brothers since aside from his spells, his system also provided him a channel where he could get modern things from Earth.

  He hadn’t even encountered anyone or any creature that had magic so he didn’t know if there was truly a need for him to become powerful as a wizard but Ezekiel knew that he should not make any assumption. The fact that he could cast spells in this world meant that others probably could as well.

  Ezekiel was only learning how to craft wooden items so he could have a cover on where the wooden arts and crafts that he was selling came from because if he sold other questionable items like spices and other modern things from Earth, many gazes would turn to him and that would endanger him and his two brothers.

  Once he had grown up and had an adult body that would protect them so for now, he had no choice but to continue as a woodworker.

  He must say though that the box that he just completed was good enough to be sold. He knew that it wouldn’t fetch much but at least he would have some items that could be sold cheaply. It only took him around thirty minutes to complete the box so he decided to do something ambitious. Ezekiel decided to create a tiny wooden storage consisting of three drawers. The blueprint for the mini wooden storage with three drawers that he saw on the internet was complex but doable and he knew that it would probably take several hours before he could complete it.

  Since it was still early, Ezekiel decided to start on the project. He was very meticulous, following the lesson of measuring twice and cutting once but after two hours, he only managed to complete about a quarter of the project so he stored everything in his 4th tab space and then went to the washroom to take a bath.

  Ezekiel saw that his brothers had already taken a bath and changed their clothes which were stored in their cart. He saw that they left their soiled clothes in the washroom so after taking a bath, he cleaned all the clothes using his Prestidigitation spell then went to the cart located in the stable with Prince Charming to store them.

  He couldn’t store the clothes in the wardrobe in the bedroom since once he dispelled the Galder’s Tower spell, the clothes would fall to the ground. In the stable, Prince Charming became very dirty so he used his Prestidigitation spell again to clean everything including the donkey and after storing the clothes in the cart he returned to the bedroom so they could eat dinner. They ate some of the stored bentos in his 4th space tab and after that, Ezekiel made sure that they were ready for sleeping. He refreshed the Mage Armor spell on everyone and cast the defensive spells in front of their houses. After that, they prepared to go to sleep. Robert and Luke requested some bedtime stories so to be safe, he told the more traditional and famous fairytale stories to avoid touching on sensitive topics like parents and friendships since he didn’t want to see his brothers cry again.

  Ezekiel decided to start with Cinderella and after a quick search on the internet, he began reading them the story. He made sure to put emotions in his storytelling so that Robert and Luke would be entertained and after a while they were asleep. Soon after, Ezekiel joined his brother in their sleep.

  The next day, they all woke up too early and the sun wasn’t up yet. When Ezekiel checked the time in his browser, it was only a few minutes before five in the morning. They ate their breakfast and drank their milk and vitamins early and he told his brothers to play since they could only leave once the sun came out.

  Robert and Luke requested for Ezekiel to “wake up” their wooden friends so he cast the Tiny Servant spell on their wooden block toys and when the toys began moving, his two younger brothers started playing.

  In the meantime, Ezekiel started studying his letters using the beginner book and the geography book that Norman Duvon gave him. When the sun was up, he was surprised that the kids requested food again so they ate a second breakfast which was a good thing in his opinion since this would allow him and his brothers to build up their bodies.

  Ezekiel wasn’t worried that they would get fat or anything like that since the amount of energy that they were expelling traveling the road, playing, crafting, and more was humongous. He decided then they should eat five times a day. Breakfast, some snacks between breakfast and Lunch. After lunch, they would eat again during tea time and then dinner. This would allow the three brothers to fill out their bodies.

  He hoped plenty of nutritious food would offset the malnutrition the three of them experienced when they were younger. When the sun was up, the three brothers began traveling the road again after ensuring that all the spells he cast in the campground were dispelled. While the donkey was moving on the road, Ezekiel continued his study while Robert and Luke played with Tiny Servants and their toys. If they got bored, they would jump out of the cart since it was safe enough to do so due to its slow movement then they would run around in the road playing different games.
