TBE Chapter 52

  TBE Chapter 52

Ezekiel, of course, had not forgotten the pheasant, deer, and boar meat and skin that were stored in his 4th tab space and he would sell most of those but he wanted to check the viability of selling the small wooden arts and crafts and based on the customer’s reactions to his items, it was viable to earn coins through being a wood crafter.

He commanded Yuki Onna to fetch his brothers and even before he completed storing all of the unsold items in the huge storage box and arranging their items in the cart, Robert and Luke ran from somewhere and joined him.

“Did you ask Yuki to fetch us? Did you know that some of our new friends were scared! They thought that he was a ghost,” Robert said and then he giggled.

“Yes, I did ask Yuki Onna to fetch you guys since we’re leaving the vilge. I wanted us to camp somewhere far enough away from here since I think that our magical home would be so much better compared to any pce we can rent here,” Ezekiel answered.

“I gave my toys to my friends,” Luke suddenly said and Ezekiel was so surprised at the complete sentence that he immediately hugged his young brother.

“It’s all right. I just earned a lot of coins and that will let us purchase more toys for you both!”

That sentence made his brothers excited.

Ezekiel hitched Prince Charming to their cart and they left the market and the vilge that Ezekiel didn’t bother to learn the name of.

“Is Yuki a boy owl or a girl owl?” Robert suddenly asked.

“Why do you ask? Yuki Onna doesn’t have a gender since it’s made of magic and not an actual animal.”

“Oh, that’s sad. That meant that even if we find a partner for him, we will not be able to have owl kids,” Robert said.

“You don’t need to worry since once my power increases, I will be able to conjure up your own animal someday.”

After a couple of hours of traveling, it was already dark and they had to utilize the ntern that he purchased before but Ezekiel could feel that Prince Charming was averse to traveling in the dark. Once they found a good enough clearing where they could camp, he cast a couple of Galder’s Tower spells. One of them was a two-story tower that contained the bedroom and the washroom and the second one was Prince Charming’s stable.

Ezekiel asked his brothers to go to the washroom to clean themselves while he led the donkey to the stable. He fed and watered Prince Charming then he joined his brothers in the washroom who were still pying in the bath. After they were done cleaning themselves, Ezekiel also cleaned their clothes using his Prestidigitation spell.

They went to the first floor, which was the bedroom, and there they ate their dinner. All of them were a bit tired so when he tucked in his brothers, they soon fell asleep. Ezekiel didn’t forget to cast all the spells that he needed to cast to make sure they would be safe through the night and then after that, he rested as well.

They left the campground early the next morning after breakfast and Ezekiel made sure that there were no traces of any of the spells that he used in the clearing. He was gd that none arrived to disturb their rest during the night and he was half expecting that somebody would since they were still near the vilge where he sold some of the wooden arts and crafts.

Ezekiel decided that on the next vilge, he would stay longer so he could sell most of the meat in his 4th space tab and more of the wooden arts and crafts. That meant they would have to stay at the local inn.

While they were traveling, Robert and Luke were pying with the wooden blocks Tiny Servants while Ezekiel was checking the items in his 4th space tab. He noticed that Prince Charming’s food was all gone so he spent a silver coin for a couple of weeks’ worth of food for the donkey.

Right then, their total assets in coins were 7 Gold 9 Silver, 5 Copper Coins, and 80 Silver Coins that were stored separately since he was calling it his wood crafting business funds. He also still had the 20 silver coins worth of unsold wooden arts and crafts and some meat and skin from the boar, deer, and pheasants and with the currency consisting of 1 gold coin equaled 100 silver coins and 1 silver coin equaled 100 copper coins, they were a bit well off.

The problem that Ezekiel had right now with the currency of this world was he still had no stable idea of what the coins were worth. He had been spending some time in his system shopping site so he had a minute idea of how much the items in his system were worth but it was different from the worth of the items in the real world.

Ezekiel knew that the best thing he could do was to spend some more time in the markets to know the worth of things then he would be able to construct a standard pricing for the items of this world in his mind. That process was a bit complicated but it needed to be done since his system items and spells were also dependent on coins for some reason.

He spent a few minutes trying to find the logic of why his system wanted coins. Ezekiel could understand if the currency were some sort of mana crystal or something since with that kind of currency if something like that existed in this world, he knew that his system could use the energy of those items to fuel the magical construction of the system items but maybe his system was much more elementary than that. Maybe it was using gold, silver, and copper metals as energy sources but he knew that that thought process was futile since he really had no idea what was behind his system and how it worked.

Maybe someday when he became powerful then he would try to study his system but for now, he simply didn’t know enough to think about what was behind his system so the only thing he could was be grateful that he had it.

“Brother, you said you’ll buy us new toys,” Robert asked while Ezekiel was pondering things.

“Sure! What do you both want? I can describe some of the toys to you.”

Ezekiel then gave some of the descriptions of the toys that he thought the two young boys would be interested in.

In the end, he purchased a couple of board games for the kids that would only require one to know how to count the dice and reading was not a requirement. They’re basically the same as the Snakes and Ladders but the themes were different. Then they chose a toy sword and shield and toy bows and arrows with the arrows containing plungers for safety and they wanted to have one set each.

He also purchased action figures for the kids but he made sure that those action figures were made of wood and he had to pay a good amount of coins for them. The action figures consisted of non-futuristic things like swordsmen, archers, wizards, priests, dragons, ogres, goblins, and wolves. Ezekiel had to go to the section that sold DnD action figures for those and they were mostly for DnD pyers and mostly for adults but he reckoned that they could work as toys for the kids and of course, he had to purchase two sets of each for the kids.

Ezekiel spent 2 silver coins on all of the toys and during lunchtime, they stopped the cart at the side of the road. After lunch, he presented the toys to Robert and Luke.

The excitement and joy that the two boys showed while they were reviewing the new toys they received made Ezekiel understand why parents loved purchasing toys for their children. The satisfaction one could feel while seeing the joy on your children's or brother’s faces while they looked at their toys was incomparable to non-others. It was almost addicting and Ezekiel had to consciously stop himself from purchasing more toys for them.

Ezekiel would have liked to include battery-operated toys to the ones he purchased but he stopped himself since he didn’t want his brothers to get in trouble while showing off their toys to others.

At around four in the afternoon, Ezekiel decided to stop and find a clearing where they could camp for the night. He wanted to practice his wood crafting and also wanted the boys to enjoy pying with their new toys.

He found a nice enough clearing inside a copse of trees near the road through Yuki Onna and there he cast three Galder’s Towers. One was a two-story tower consisting of a bedroom and a washroom on the second floor. The second one was the dining room and kitchen combined into one that he would use as his workpce and the st one was Prince Charming’s stable.
