TBE Chapter 64
Ezekiel thought of the fact that the impact of him killing the four people who attempted to kill them for their coins was considerably less compared to the first time he killed people while he was cleaning all the traces of the murder.
For a moment, he was worried that he was turning into a psychopath but then the fact that those four robbers were willing to kill children for coins was deserving of them dying in Ezekiel’s opinion. He kept reminding himself that murdering somebody to defend themselves could be the norm in this world and he had to get used to it if he wanted for him and his two brothers to survive.
After everything was cleaned, he briefly checked his experience points to see how much experience he earned and was surprised to see that the experience bar climbed up to 45 percent. That meant that the four robbers were equal to 10 percent experience points. Ezekiel and his brothers continued traveling. He wanted to set up their camp farther away from the scene of the crime so it was already a bit dark when he chose a location for them to rest.
Ezekiel created two Galder’s Towers with one of them having two floors which were the bedroom and the washroom. The second one was the stable for Prince Charming. He didn’t create a dining room like usual since he felt tired and would not have the energy to spend doing some woodwork.
He led Prince Charming inside his stable and then prepared his food and water. He also made sure that the donkey was clean by using his cleaning spell on him.
Ezekiel then cast the usual defensive spells that would protect their temporary homes from attacks then he went inside the bedroom. He noticed that his brothers were already in the washroom pying in the bathtub so he joined them. He also made sure that all of their clothes were clean.
When they were done, they went to the bedroom to eat dinner.
“Are you not going to work on your carpentry tonight?” Robert asked.
“I’m tired. I want to rest early.”
“I miss this home of ours!” Luke suddenly said and Ezekiel agreed with his brother.
Their Galder’s Tower was much more comfortable than that inn in the st vilge even though it was a little small which wasn’t truly a problem for the siblings since they were all small as well.
After dinner, Ezekiel was amused to see Robert and Luke trying to be coquettish.
“Brother, we don’t have any more toys,” Robert asked him trying to make his eyes bigger.
He almost ughed out loud since Luke was also doing the same thing and he didn’t know where they learned it. Since they earned a lot of coins from the st vilge including the coins that they had received from the haunted mansion, Ezekiel spent 10 silver coins to purchase two backpacks from the system site and the rest were spent buying a combination of coloring books, crayons, and toys.
The boys were so delighted with their brand-new things that they even forgot to ask Ezekiel to wake up their wooden block companions. Robert and Luke spent the rest of the evening pying while Ezekiel spent his studying the geography book he received from his old tutor.
After a few hours, the three of them prepared themselves to sleep with Ezekiel tucking them in and casting the Mage Armor spell on all of them just in case. He also made sure that Yuki Onna was vigint to make sure that they wouldn’t be surprised by any attack.
The next day after breakfast, Ezekiel dispelled the Galder’s Towers and then prepared themselves to leave. He made sure that there were no remaining traces of his magic in the area. Before they left, Ezkiel refreshed the Mage Armor spell on the three of them and cast the Tiny Servant spell on four of the butcher knives to act as their bodyguards in case they encountered any enemies on the road.
Ezekiel was just gd that the duration of the Tiny Servant spell was very long. By request, he also cast the Tiny Servant spell on the two wooden blocks that Robert and Luke had gotten attached to.
The three siblings journeyed the whole day only briefly stopping during lunchtime. Late in the afternoon, they saw a vilge in the distance but Ezekiel decided to bypass that vilge. He told his brother that because of the recent attack from the four robbers from the st vilge, it would be better if no one encountered them, at least in the next two or three vilges.
While they were traveling on the road, they encountered a river that crossed near the road and the sound of the water was especially soothing. At around four in the afternoon, Ezekiel decided to start looking for their camp for the night. Although it was nice to think of camping near the water, he made sure to choose a pce further inside the forest since from what he knew, animals tend to gather near water to drink. He could be mistaken since he wasn’t a wildlife enthusiast but it was better to be safe than sorry even though he had confidence in the defenses of the Galder’s Tower.
After the towers were built and Prince Charming was comfortable in his stable, fed, and watered, Ezekiel told his two brothers to py either in the washroom or the bedroom and not outside in the forest since for some reason, he was feeling a bit wary in the surrounding area even if Yuki Onna was guarding them. He hoped that his brothers would be content pying with their toys and with their Tiny Servant wooden blocks.
Ezekiel asked them if they wanted more toys and Robert said that they would ask for more once he earned more coins. He just shook his head and smiled then he headed directly to the Dining and Kitchen tower that he was using as his workshop.
After he id out all his woodworking tools, Ezekiel started his project of creating more boxes that he could use to store different types of meats from the animals that he was pnning to hunt and butcher. He thought that the boxes should be big enough and were able to stack on top of each other securely so he started looking for a design on the internet. Unfortunately for him, it took him about thirty minutes to find a good design.
A couple more hours passed and he hadn’t even completed one of the boxes. The process was more complicated than he expected and he made several mistakes that he needed to start over but he welcomed every step since Ezekiel felt that he was truly learning. He then cleaned up his makeshift workshop since it was te and after that went to the washroom to take a bath.
Robert and Luke were done with their bath and were wearing their extra clothes. Robert told him that the soiled clothes were in the washroom. After taking a bath, Ezekiel cleaned their clothes using his Prestidigitation spell then he joined his brothers in the bedroom to eat dinner.
He was happy to note that Robert and Luke were beginning to fill out and did not look too malnourished anymore. They were beginning to look just like ordinary children from any vilge along the road and more than likely he was the same.
After dinner, he cast the Mage Spell on the three of them but this night, Ezekiel decided to cast the Tiny Servant spells on four of the butcher knives to act as their guard outside the towers. The good thing about the butcher knives was if they were not moving, they just looked like knives that were left lying outside.
That night, Robert requested Ezekiel to tell them a bedtime story but before he started, they heard some loud growling and howling outside.
“What was that!” Robert asked while he and Luke's eyes widened.
Ezekiel told his brother to be quiet and that he would check using Yuki Onna’s eyes. The familiar told him that it was a bear and seven wolves that were battling each other and since they didn’t target the towers, the familiar didn’t tell him of the animals nearby.
He felt a bit exasperated by that and commanded his familiar that in the future, it should tell him if there were any predators nearby. Yuki Onna flew to the pce where the bear and the wolves were fighting then Ezekiel used its eyes to watch the situation. He wondered briefly why they were attacking each other since it was still summer and the forest still had plenty of prey.
Ezekiel then saw that the bear was wounded and this could be the reason why the wolves thought to attack the bear since once they defeated the huge animal, they would have plenty to eat.
He decided to join the battle since the animals were experience points that he needed to level up. The first thing Ezekiel did was to create his butcher knives army so he cast the Tiny Servant spells on the remaining six butcher knives. The other four knives were outside guarding their house.
