Knowledge of the Titan

"Mhm... Charlotte...", Mitsuki woke up from all of the noises I made, "...what are you... doing..."

"I am just checking my arm, nothing you should worry about."

Under the mp, I kept stroking my left arm, feeling the scars of my deformed arm. This is a mistake I am unable to fix, a reminder for this princess in silver.

Mitsuki came up to me, looking at my arm. She reached her hand out but hesitated.

"Does it still hurt?", she asked.

"No.", I lied, clenching my left hand, "I am fine."

I don't feel the pain anymore, but... the phantom pain this left behind is still there... and the wound on my pride.

Mitsuki shook her head, "Charlotte, please listen... you can tell me anything, we are friends after all."

I closed my eyes for a moment.

"I encountered something that was too much for me to handle. Being careless plus underestimating my foe...", I chuckled, "It's kinda funny how we are in Greece, all these stories talking about hubris... to think I would fall into such stereotype."

"So have you learned your lesson?", she asked, crouching next to me.

  "Yes...", I nodded.

"Then that's good! Charlotte, you should rest up now!"

"Hmm, fine.", I followed her to the beds after putting back on my sleeve.

I want myself to be alone, so I am sleeping in my own bed now...

  "Good night, Charlotte."

  "You too, Mitsuki."

  =0=0=

It was early in the morning when I left, the sun wasn't even up yet. I feel kinda bad about abandoning Mitsuki, but this is something that I need to do alone. I did leave her a notice and informed Enna about it too.

It was pretty chilly in the morning, not that the cold bothered me. But it would be weird not to wear a scarf, mine is blue with white snowfkes on it, which I borrowed from Mitsuki.

Even if I am Greek, in Greece, amongst a whole bunch of beautiful people descended from those fucked by Zeus, I stand out pretty well with my silver hair somehow glowing an azure blue hue.

The sun wasn't up yet so not many people were around, mostly store owners setting up shops. Most of them just give me a passing gnce, not that they bother me.

Heading to the museum, I walked around to the back... where Prometheus was already waiting for me... right, he could see the infinite future.

"Hello, Miss Silvi.", he smiled, waving at me.

"Hello, God of Fire.", I said in a mocking tone.

His smile faltered a bit, "You got that teasing personality like your sister."

Like Deliah, huh... I was making fun of him out of my irrational hatred for the divine, I guess he has it wrong.

"Hmm.", I shrugged, "Let's get to business then..."

I held my left hand out, "Open, Gate of Akasha. The Imprisoned Arsenal, Ouroboros Omniscia."

And summoned the coffin containing a near-infinite amount of weapons. This made Prometheus jump, but he quickly stared at it... analyzing the weapon...

From legends, Prometheus has two powers exclusively to him. First is his most famous ability, the power to gaze into the infinite future, that was the reason why almost nothing could surprise him.

The reason he was surprised was because of my thoughts. I have in my arsenal four God Syers, not counting Quirinus which I always carry around. Fallen Starlight, Ars Goetia, Walpurgis Festival, and Ouroboros Omniscia. With just the thoughts of summoning each one, multiple futures are created. He didn't know which one I would choose.

The second power is that his eyes are capable of seeing the internal components as well as the creation process of something. If he has enough material... he can, in theory, recreate anything.

"This thing is... interesting.", he commented, "You called this Ouroboros Omniscia... looks like it has four main components..."

"The system is from the Fascist Italian Party, something developed by them as a trump card that ultimately failed. The storage is Pandora's Box... or Vase, whatever you want to call it. And Sisyphus' bedframe, the same one that trapped Thanatos.", I expined to him.

"And what's with the moaning?", he pointed out.

"Don't worry about it, that's just the battery.", I smiled, caressing the coffin, reaching around the back, and pushed the first button on the handle.

The sides popped out, revealing missile unchers. Prometheus widens his eyes, clearly surprised and intrigued by the coffin.

"My goal is to make something like this.", I closed the sides, looking at Prometheus, who was in deep thought.

"This is rather... interesting. This isn't merely bcksmith, it has elements of Quantum Physics too...", he was seeing something different.

"Could you expin more?", I asked.

"Oh, yes. Through my eyes I can see not just the unchers but also countless other items as outlines.", he got closer to the coffin, "Whatever system operating this is following the Principles of Quantum Physics."

"Is that so...", I smiled widely, "I think I got it."

He turned to me in surprise, "What do you mean by that?"

"Quantum Physics is the tempte! I got it!! Using quantum particles, that person created a blueprint for everything inside it!", I cpped my hands, "Not only that, applying Chemistry to this entire process— deconstructing the atoms and reconstructing them according to the tempte set by the quantum particles!!"

Yes!! Hehahahaha!! So this is how Sincir did it! Alchemy!! Of course, I know I am getting my hopes up but this is a cause for celebration!!

I only needed a pair of eyes capable of seeing through the mechanics of Ouroboros Omniscia!! Yes!!

"I see, this is very exciting news.", he nodded, "But you have only discovered the principles behind how this works, but you have yet to discover the method."

True, this is only the basics, now I need the procedure.

"Let's head down into my workshop and we will discover more...", he looks at the coffin and then back at me, "Can you remove this?"

"Sure, but I want to tell you something.", I smiled, "This goal of mine may just be a Delusion, but it is something I want to achieve... so thank you for putting up with me."

And the coffin vanished with just a caress.

"I just want to help humanity in any way I can. Because I have faith in you.", he smiled, touching the white wall of the museum, "And I always will."

Pressing in a brick, a door opened up to a staircase leading down.

With Prometheus leading me down, I began to expand my search range. I can hear everything, the machinery ticking... liquid flowing down in tubings.

Hmm... and the roars of fire. So...

We eventually reached a metal door, which Prometheus opened up to reveal... a forge. I can hear the humming fans and air filters going off.

Several metal tables with tools ying on them, I can see some steel cylinders already prepared... and peppers? What?

"You said you wanted to learn how to smith, right? So I prepared some easy things to start with.", he picked up a hammer, "I assume you are capable of forging a sword, right?"

I nodded. Although I never forged anything, the experience and knowledge of humanity are with me.

"Hmm, then how about I show you how I forge Relics?"

Relics, are objects carrying special qualities to them, be it from magic or something else. God Syer is a sub-category of this Relic, by the way.

To see how a god forge it, I will make sure to learn everything I can.

"The pleasure is all mine.", I replied with a smile.

"Good. I will then make a simple one.", taking a rubberband, he tied his hair into a bun.

Taking out an iron pte and a silver pte, both fit neatly in his hands. Then, he put both of them in a cylinder that fits tightly.

Up next, he proceeded to sprinkle some peppers into it, along with some kind of gold dust. But why pepper of all things?

"Why did you put pepper in it?", I asked.

"Oh, just to burn away the oxygen, and it is always nice to have a little bit of carbon in everything.", he spoke as he welded the container shut.

After sealing the metals, using tongs he put the whole thing into the furnace, right above a bed of hot coal and wood.

Then 10 minutes went by, Prometheus flipped the the cylinder to heat up the other side for another ten.

Taking out the glowing red cylinder, he cut the lid open with a circur saw, taking out the now merged bar, he pced it on the table. Quickly, he grabbed it with the tongs to transfer it to the anvil.

"Watch carefully.", he stated before hammering the thing at the edge of the anvil.

  Cnk!

The first strike bent the alloy, with sparks flying everywhere— but then, the sparks flew back into the piece.

That was the moment when I noticed it. The hammer... I can see Runes inscribed into it, glowing white to exert their powers.

  Cnk!!

He bent it completely, then flipped to the other side to fold it completely. Again, the sparks flew and they were absorbed back into the alloy.

And not only that... I sensed something.

Closing my eyes, I began to feel the work around me... ah... I see it. I see what is happening. An aura is enveloping both Prometheus and the Relic he is forging...

  I get it.

"The secret is Willpower.", I stated.

While still forging, Prometheus nodded, "You are correct, Willpower, or more specifically, emotions, is the secret to Relics. Be it happiness or sadness, if the emotion is strong enough, overflowing even, then a Relic can be created. The same for God Syers, with intense hatred and other negative emotions, virtually anything can become a God Syer."

So that is what it is. I sighed.

  I'm fucked.

I cannot get my emotions to such a level so that I can create Relics. Hah... it looks like I need to contact an Eldritch God.

After all, I am a sociopath. I feel emotions less than normal people. And the emotions I do feel strongly about are...

  Sadism~!

  Fuck you, Reverie.

After two hours of constant forging, folding the Relic over and over again, it somehow glowed green as soon as it got taken out of the oil barrel.

Huh, besides Prydwen's sails, I haven't gotten anything green. Food for thought.

"This is a basic Relic that lets you feel refreshed.", he expined as he cleaned off the oil with a towel.

Pcing it on the table, he cleaned his hands with the same towel. The Relic is a pte of some kind, somehow ftter than the original materials but had the same size, although the edges are lifted up so the materials could mostly be there. Oh, and then there is a very basic torch symbol on it, a squiggly line that vaguely resembles a fire, a curve connected to a straight line for the torch; the symbol of Prometheus.

"You can have this.", he put it into a wooden box, handing it over to me.

"Thanks.", I took it without any question, "So, I learned a lot today."

"Would this help achieve your goal?", he asked, staring at me while fixing his formal suit. It's kinda amazing how he kept it clean during all of that.

"Definitely.", I nodded, "Thanks for the insight."

After saying some more nice things to each other, we parted ways. It was fruitful, more than I ever expected really.

I got to know the practical side of True Alchemy, merging Chemistry and Quantum Physics, somewhat that is. So...

All that's left is the spiritual side...

  Because I realized it now.

To use the ws of reality, bending them to suit mankind's needs, exerting our will in order to destroy and create as we see fit.

  Alchemy is...

  The Magic of Humanity.
