Chapter 4 Bitterness Spreads

  Chapter 4 Bitterness Spreads

After a long while, Chu Yiran took off his coat, lifted the quilt and lay down beside her, gently wrapping his arms around her slender waist. He let out a sigh and said in an extremely tired tone: "Jin'er, stay with me for a while."

Her body stiffened instantly and didn't react, then a bitter numbness spread out.

He still didn't tell her about what happened between him and Yang Qinger.

Nor did she mention Yang Qiner falling down the stairs, nor did she ask her to explain that matter.

She suppressed the sourness in her heart and quietly closed her eyes.

Before long, she heard his steady breathing and knew he had fallen asleep.

She turned her face to look at him, and the familiar breath sprayed on her neck, making her heart skip a beat.

She saw the obvious fatigue on his delicate face, with a faint stubble on his chin and dark circles under his eyes. She thought he hadn't had a good rest for several days because of Yang Qiruo.

In the end, he didn't have Yu Jin in his heart, perhaps Yang Qianer was right, he just had a temporary interest.

She clutched at her chest, feeling a suffocating sensation spreading out, hurting, it hurt so much.

After a long while, she was certain he had fallen asleep. She slowly extricated herself from his arms and gently kissed him on the forehead.

Got out of bed and stepped barefoot on the floor. After turning back to look at him with an extremely loving gaze, she walked out of the room and gently closed the door.

Inside the room, Chu Yiran on the big bed seemed to have dreamed of something, and hugged the pillow in his arms even tighter, muttering "Jin'er".

She avoided the servant and walked directly into the garage, opened the car door and got in. She bit her lips tightly, and her hands grasped the steering wheel even harder.

Shift into reverse, and the car backed out of the garage in a wide arc, then shot straight out onto the open road.

She shone with tears in her eyes, tightly grasping the steering wheel, stepping on the accelerator to the end, and letting the car fly out recklessly.

No matter whether I'm dead or alive in the next minute, there are no words that can make me feel more painful and desperate to collapse.

She gritted her teeth and let tears flow like a spring.

She suddenly felt a sharp pain in her heart, gritted her teeth and stepped on the accelerator to the end. Let the car rush past wildly, but she herself began to cry out in pain.

A sentence I once believed in forever became the laughing stock of her guilt.

After walking around the Ghost Gate, she thought a lot. She finally saw clearly the distance between them. The distance was so far away. And they would never step over that chasm forever.

Perhaps he was just grateful to her, and it wasn't about love.

After this incident, she didn't know how to face him anymore.

She is not a saint, and the love she wants does not allow for betrayal.

But they ended up in a relationship anyway.

He and Yang Qiner will get married, what about her?

The phone on the side suddenly lit up, she knew who was calling, and the phone went dark for less than three seconds before he called again. Her hands gripped the steering wheel even tighter, but in the end, she still answered the call.

  "Jin'er, where did you go?"

A voice of extreme anxiety came from the other end of the phone, he knew he woke up and didn't see her, and was looking for her.

"Yi Ran," she called out softly to him, her voice filled with affection, as if it had been a long time since she last called him that, sounding somewhat unfamiliar.

On the other end of the phone came heavy breathing sounds. Her gaze turned to the distant sea, and she spoke again: "Yiran, let's end it."

"No, no way, I will never agree." A nearly shouting voice came from the other end of the phone.

She took a deep breath, then smiled wryly and said softly: "Yi Ran, I'm tired, really tired. I'm leaving, you don't have to look for me everywhere. I'll be fine."

It was an ordinary farewell phrase, but she suddenly wanted to cry again. Tears finally couldn't stop, and fell down like a spring.

  "Where are you?"
