Vd g the corpses of these strange jackal-headed creatures, quickly pointing his hands at them and equipping his Skill that allowed him to drink rge quantities of blood and assimite bloodlines.
The moment he did, streams of bck, miasmic blood emerged from the monster’s corpses, intimidating him slightly towards the idea of drinking it… However, he ultimately took the risk, deteg that despite how bck the blood was, it was still sidered edible for Vampires.
“Gulp, gulp… Ugh.”
It had a terribly bitter taste, making Vd almost gag out of disgust. Chris panicked as he saw him trying to drink that nasty water.
"Hey, why are y to drink the sewage water of these things?! Yoing to die before you get anything out of them! Don’t be a nasty rat!”
“N-Nasty rat?! I just need power, Chris!” Paul pined. “There’s no other way for me to get more blood of this quality; even if it tastes like shit, I o—Ugh!!”
Suddenly, Vd felt an agonizing pain course through his entire body, suddenly falling to his knees, as he felt the power of a Curse rapidly trying to take over his entire being.
An aura of darkness and shadows emerged, and two sharp red eyes appeared.

Chris quickly jured a fsh ht holy light, shooting Vd with it.

Vd felt his skin burn before the holy light, but it quickly healed back; the curse c through his body, however, instantly was buro ashes, purified.
“Hahh… Hahh… Yeah, it works well.”
“What do you mean it works well?! You almost got possessed by that thing…”
"Yeah, but it works well; you just exorcise me.” Vd smiled. “I’ll also use Gluttony to devour the curse. Like this, I drink all the miasmic blood I want without issues.”
“Y-You’re ihere’s no way that’ll work forever…” said Chris.
“But Chris, this is the only way; we o get stronger. I really don’t want the damn city to be destroyed,” sighed Vd. “Look, I know it’s a game and everything, but e on. Don’t tell me you want our ey destroyed too?”
“I-I don’t…” Chris sighed. “But do we really o… Agh, fuck it. You’re right, it’s a game, right? So I’ll just burn you with my holy light, and you better resist it!”
“Thank you, Chris,” Paul smiled, nodding.
He quickly pointed his hands at the corpses, and as several rivers of bck miasmic blood flowed towards him, using Gluttony as well, he absorbed them directly into mouths that grew into his hands.
"Wow, that’s disgusting,” Chris noted.
“Shut up,” Paul sighed.

He tinued rapidly drinking the bck blood as the curse emerged once more every time; however, with Chris purifying it and Gluttony dev the curse, he was able to mao drink all the fresh, miasmic blood of every corpse he found.
“Hahhh… Hahhh… Hahh… Ugh, I’m beat…”
Vd dropped over the wooden floor, almost dead due to the exhaustion he felt. It was like he was stantly drinking horrendous poison aing it fester inside of him.
Although Chris and his Gluttoroyed the curse, the pain he felt went nowhere; it remained right there, making each blood-drinking session a living torture.
Did he really have to gh all that pain? Was it even worth it?!

His body was overflowing with Blood Energy now; having absorbed so much high-quality cursed blood, his Blood Core was resonating happily with him, growing stronger and refining itself into a greater, tougher, and more high-quality form.
“I feel even stronger now, so it worked wonders,” he smiled, the pain already fading away with his regeion. “Let’s eat the rest.”
He ate the wolf’s corpse after drinking his blood, which wasn’t ied thankfully, and also a few dozen of the monsters, including their equipment, to see if anything else popped up, until he no lained any more power from it.
Thanks to the powers of Gluttony, Vd was able to devour corpses and gain additional Blood Energy, however, this was limited to a certain amount of Blood Energy per target, meaning that he had to find new prey as the same thing wouldn’t work after a few dozen meals.
Because of this, he was still left with dozens more of these monster corpses, and he had little idea what he could do with them… Their flesh and blood were definitely high-quality curse-type materials, and their bones, fangs, and cws, could be used to make stronger equipment, perhaps.
For now, however, he g his gains as he felt more powerful.

“A while ago, I absorbed a lot of Life Energy,” Chris said. “I guess I’ll be logging out for now; I o go pee, and then I’ll probably have dinner with my family.”

“Well, even if I failed, it’s not like it would affect my future… I’m already good as I am, but yeah, making a game is like a dumb passion project,” Chris sighed. “But I appreciate it.”
