Chapter 101: Helping Fairies And Spirits

  -----

At the end, Chris had to quickly bring the boy down to the rai again while apologizing for having scared him so much. But how could he evehe kid was so afraid of heights?

“I mean, you’re a flighted fairy, right? Why are you so afraid of heights?!” Chris pined.

“I-I usually don’t fly that high,” said the boy. “Ugh, I’m dizzy.”

  “Hah, I’m sorry.”

Chris sighed, kneeling in front of the boy and giving him a head pat.

  “Does your wing hurt?”

“It healed a bit, but it still hurts…” The boy cried. “Big sis, will I never be able to fly again?”

“A-Ah… Nonsense!” said Chris. “Just stand there!”

Chris jured his healing magic as his hands overflowed with heavenly golden ki, which he infused into the boy’s broken wing.

  FLUOSH!

  “W-Woah!”

The boy gasped in disbelief; a cold, rexiion washed over his entire body as his once broken wing instantly regeed back to normal.

  “I-It’s back?! It’s back!”

The boy celebrated, flying around happily and adorably.

“Thank you, big sis! I really am grateful!” The moth fairy boy rushed towards Chris and hugged him.

“A-Ah! Okay, I’m gd for you…” Chris giggled, patting his head a bit. “Anyways, should we get going? You o get back to the vilge.”

“R-Right… But I’m still lost,” he said.

“Don’t worry, we’ll find it easily… How’s your vilge?” asked Chris.

“Umm, it’s in the middle of a dark forest, without much sunlight; we Moth Fairies don’t like the light that much!” the boy said.

  “Okay, wait here.”

Chris flew into the skies, sing the rai.

It was immense, and it seemed to have no end at all!

  “Woah, this Mindscape is gigantic.”

“I is- Ah, there it is, over there.”

The Heavenly Emperor easily found the forest, where Chris was having difficulties spotting it at all.

He pointed into the far distance. Behind a huge tree with red fruits, there was a small patch of the forest that was kind of darker, and it also had big mushrooms.

  Chris flew back down.

“Does your vilge have mushrooms?” asked Chris.

“Oh yes, there are! They glow a bit!” he boy.

“I found it then, e!” Chris held the boy’s hand as they flew at a moderate height.

In a mihe boy was finally bae!

“It’s my home! I ’t believe it was so close!” the boy said. “Thank you, big sis! Please wait here; I’ll tell everyone about you!”

  “W-Wait, everyone?!” Chris panicked.

Eventually, the moth fairy boy came with dozens of adults and a few children to greet Chris. All of these people were adorable, fluffy, and with a moth-like appearance merged with humanoid form, mostly a cute childish fad big moth-like eyes, alongside fluffy antennae and a rge moth abdomen behind them.

“Big sis! Heeey! She’s over there! She saved me!”

The boy reached Chris with everyone else; the entire vilge thanked Chris, greeting him. The boy’s parents and his siblings all greeted him by rubbing their anteh his head.

“Thank you for saving my child! I was so worried!”

“Me too! You don’t know how much we owe you!”

  “Big sis, you’re so pretty!”

  “Wow, sparkly!”

“Pink hair! I wish I had it!”

While the boy’s parents thanked him, his little siblings stantly touched Chris' hair and skin, amazed by his appearance being different than theirs.

“It must be a very isoted vilge,” Chris thought.

Suddenly, an older moth fairy appeared, with a long beard and looking very old, a grandpa even.

“Oh, thank you so much fing that old rascal… I was told he had broken his wing too, but you healed it? If that’s true, then your healing powers are truly admirable, young dy. Thank you fing our child back here.”

“It’s nothing,” Chris said, ag humble.

“Please, take this as a small gift of ratitude,” the old man said, giving Chris what resembled a broch shaped as a white moth with bck eyes, and it had a silver moon on its abdomen.

“Oh, uh, what’s this?” wondered Chris.

“It is a magical charm,” said the elder. “It’ll give you a bit more magic power. It is a small souvenir, a token of gratitude…”

  “Oh well, thanks!”

As Chris seemed pleased, new notifications appeared.

  “Wait!”

As Chris flew away, the Heavenly Emperor stopped him.

“Eh? What do you want now?”

“Foolish reination; if helping people is what you o earn points and you’re pletely lost in this forest, why not ask these people for any problem you could solve?” the Heavenly Emperor asked. “Also, ask them for dires or a map if possible, and ask them for the people they know, and if anybody is in danger! All of these things should e out naturally from your pure and ho heart! It seems you’re more self-tered than I imagined… I’m disappointed!”

The Heavenly Emperor was truly angered, crossing his arms as he didn’t eve Chris anymore, averting his gaze in indignation.

“Hey dude, give me a break! I-I was about to do that actually!” Chris realized it was an amazing idea, quickly flying back to the vilge and greeting the Moth Fairy. “Heeeey! Everyone!”

As Chris called for the moth people, he noticed they lived in houses made out of white silk they created inside of the holes of the trees.

Mushrooms grew all around their houses, and it seemed they harvested them too, being one of their primary meals.

“Oh, big sis! What’s wrong?” The boy quickly flew back to Chris.

“Um, actually, I was w if anybody is in trouble or wounded?” wondered Chris. “I am also a… Healer! A wandering healer, actually. And a priestess in training, yeah! So I came here to heal and help in anything I … It’s part of my… uh, religion.”

“Oh wow! I had no idea you were a priestess in training!” said the boy. “Y-Yeah, there’s quite a few people that are sick, and also a few wounded.”

“Oh really? What happened?” Chris was genuinely ed.

“We were attacked by Wild Beasts the other day,” said the boy. “And there’s a weird disease; the elder said it was some kind of poisonous mold that got stuck to the mushrooms we harvest… We’ve tried to them and repce the ones ied, but it keeps showing up!”

“There it is! See, my reination? More points ining! Do the good deeds!”

The Heavenly Emperor was cheering for Chris to do the right thing.

“A-Alright! Brio the people in need,” said Chris. “I’ll heal them, and then we’ll see what we do about that mold.”

“T-Thanks!” The boy was very happy.

And so, he guided Chris around the vilge on top of the trees as Chris healed the elderly, who were those weak enough to be ied, and the wounded warriors that protected the vilge.

“I heard the news! Thank you so much for your help, priestess in training!” the elder said. “We will be eternally grateful for your benevolence from now on! And I was w what god do you worship? Perhaps we could erect a small shrine or something in their name as gratitude for your help.”

  “Uuh… God?” wondered Chris. “Hmm…”

He was w what God he could evehem… Maybe this world had unique gods, and if he said the wrong god, he might get judged.

“Of course, I am the source of your healing abilities,” the Heavenly Emperor said. “So naturally, you will tell I am the Ght?” He asked with a gentle smile.

  “Uuh…”

  Chris hesitated, twitg his eyebrow.

  “Right?”

The Heavenly Emperor’s smile didn’t look gentle anymore…

“Y-Yeah! Ahem, the God is… They have no name, but they go with a title, the Heavenly Emperor!” said Chris.

“T-The Heavenly Emperor? I had never heard of a god with such a glorious name before across all of Fantasia,” said the elder. “But very well, whatever this god is, to guide you towards helping others without expeg anything in exge is already a wonderful thing. We shall erect a small shrine in his name… How does he look?”

“Like a handsome… human, wearing white and golden robes… long robes,” said Chris. “And very long white hair, golden eyes, ahered wings, white colored too.”

“N-Noted, what a strange god,” he moth elder. “Thank you.”

“Ah, no, thanks to you!” said Chris. “Anyways- Huh?”

“Nice.” Chris smiled devilishly. “Anyways, I was w if you could show me the mushrooms ied with mold; I heal them!”

“You heal the mushrooms too?!” The moth elder gasped. “V-Very well, please follow me!”

Chris quickly went towards a rge harvesting area where everything ihe ied areas, which the moth had been trying to burn but to no avail, resembled bck goo with strange red eyes and tiacles.

“Uegh, is this mold at all?!” Chris wondered. “It’s more like… some damn disgusting mohingy!”

“W-We know, it just suddenly appeared one day,” sighed the elder. “It seems to even groan and attack whery to get rid of it.”

“Well, worry no more, I am here!”

  “{Holy Smite}!”

  FLAAASH!

Chris swung his hand down; a massive beam of holy light desded from the skies; the mold screamed as it disied.

  “Gryyeeeehhh!”

  BOOOM!

Then Chris noticed more patches of mold everywhere.

"Ugh, they’re so ugly!” Chris said, notig that they began expanding their tentacles towards him. “Uuaagh! N-No! Stay away from me!”

Chris panicked like an elephant seeing a rat, instantly beginning to use several Holy Smites in quick succession.

“A-Ah… Amazing…” The elder muttered. “This is the power of the priestess of the Heavenly Emperor?! Incredible!”

“Huh? A-Ah, yeah! All hail the Heavenly Emperor!” Chris raised his arms into the sky and crossed them.

The moth boy and the elder quickly imitated him!

  “All hail the Heavenly Emperor!”

As they did, the Heavenly Emperor himself was shocked.

“W-What kind of worshiping pose is that?! It’s ridiculous! They have to bow their heads instead!”

“Shut up! We’re doing things my way!”
