Paul was still thinking about what he had just read, his mind deep in thoughts even though he ended up scaring his friends, who were chatting idly as he screamed loudly out of nowhere. The weirdest part was that he didn’t even expin things, completely ignoring the world around him as he thought these things.

“Aberrant Dark Spirit, Three-Headed Purgatory Dog, Abyssal Banshee, and Fallen Dark Spirit King…” He thought, rubbing his chin as he activated the online panel and began tapping into the virtual keyboard, researching online about these monsters.
He spent a good ten minutes doing this alone, but after researching everywhere within the three main wikis of the game and even visiting some smaller and obscure wiki pages or strategy guides, he was unable to find them.
His face was calm, but deep down Vd was a bit annoyed and shocked; these four monsters were all undiscovered! What’s worse, he literally had no way to find them out; clicking on their names didn’t reveal anything to him.
“Hah, what a pain…”
As he sighed while menting this, Chris, Gofumina, and Ermelinda gred at him with confusion. Being surrounded by a bunch of cute girls would be any man’s dream, although one of these cute girls was a boy, and the other was a boy IRL, and Gofumina was a real mystery, but Paul imagined he might be another guy.
“What’s gotten into you? You feel stronger; why aren’t you happy?” Asked Gofumina, crossing her arms. “I wish I could progress as quickly as you do!”
“Heh, he was in his gamer moment for a bit; did you see that? He just completely forgets about the world and everything else, hahaha!” Chris ughed.
“Gamer mode? Oooh!” Ermelinda was surprised. “I wish I had such powers…”
“It’s nothing of the case; I just got a notification for an Evolution,” said Vd. “So I was thinking for a while now what to do; the four bloodline fragments I need are all from undocumented monsters. It’ll be annoying to try to find them without any leads other than their names.”
“Oh, so that’s what happened!” Chris nodded. “Well, we can find them together eventually; don’t look all sad out of nowhere… It’ll be a piece of cake if we ask a bunch of NPCs after all. Wiki pages never have stuff from NPCs, and there are so many. We’re bound to find someone that finds these names familiar, especially in this big city.”
“Hmm, you’re not wrong,” Vd nodded. “I’ll ask about these monsters of my popution and mother ter, I guess. It doesn’t hurt to ask after all.”
Once he was done with his deep thoughts, Vd quickly gnced at his own Status.

“Not bad… My Stats are higher than I imagined or expected now, and I got a new Soul Skill to try out as well…” Vd nodded. “It’s a pity seventy percent of it is sealed away, dammit. But well, progress is progress. We’re getting there slowly… One good thing is that the Soul Ether is not affected by the Curse, so my Soul is always at full power.”
That, coupled with his equipment, made him a powerhouse even with reduced stats… However, he still had many weaknesses and needed someone else to watch his back, hence why he preferred fighting as a duo with Chris, as both complemented one another’s strengths and pystyles while covering for their weaknesses.
“Among the stats that are not affected, there’s Blood Power and also Soul Ether…” He thought. “I don’t know if Arcana is affected; I think it is. Without my equipment, my Arcana does feel weaker than it usually is showcased in my Status after all. Soul Skills should be a good way to circumvent this weakness as well, as these will strengthen my Soul and further make my Soul Ether shine in battle. I really need to try the new Soul Skill out and try to see how I can get more Soul Skills, but for now… I should check the Skeleton and the Blood Ki Harvest Skill.”
After all, both of these Skills were also made around Vd having a weak physique with reduced stats.
