A castle stood defiantly against a maddened sky, an angry snowstorm beat on its blackened stone walls. The clouds thick and heavy occasionally grumbled and growled like a hungry predator. One of the seemingly impenetrable walls bulged outwards before shattering that image of strength. Broken pieces of that majestic building's pride rained down its side as screams decorated the night air. That dark wall now opened to reveal flames chewing at the shadows. Some of that cowardly darkness shrank from the light, but not all of them allowed their fear to take them. Silhouettes of figures danced in that fire, the clashes of metal and claws accompanied them.
"Sir we can't hold him back!" a young man spoke up as he retreated towards an older man who was standing with his arms crossed near the back. His eyes were tracking the shape of a boy leaping among the flames and slaughtering his subordinates.
"Time, we just need to buy time! Hold your damn ground Soldier!" he barked an order as he placed his hand on his sword. Though moments later he watched as a soldier was cut in half by a blade. A boy stepped from between the two halves, beautiful piercing golden eyes and reddish orange hair adorned with twitching fox ears. His tail swished with excitement, his clothes were stained with blood and he was carrying a rather ordinary looking sword. Though it was exotic in design, a katana one would call it, but it wasn't adorned or embellished in any way.
"Ahhhh!" Another soldier screamed as the fox boy appeared in front of him and stabbed him through the chest before ripping the blade out with an arc of blood raining on him.
"Sir, our numbers are shrinking too fast! We need to fall back again." the soldier from before pressured the Captain once again and the man finally sighed before responding with curt orders
"Jashua, take your men and fall back. Take a few and find the two Princesses. Protect them with your life."
"Captain?" Jashua seemed confused and tried to get clarification.
"Go!" with a firm push, the captain stepped past his subordinate and towards the blood covered predator approaching him.
"Sir!" Jashua gave his Captain one last look before gesturing to the other soldiers who fell back, dashed up the stairs and disappeared into the darkness.
"Haha, you know I always knew I'd die on the battlefield. Just glad one of those damn werewolves isn't my opponent. I don't know who hired you, but I'll at least give you a good fight." The Captain drew his sword, a beautiful rapier adorned with rubies and sapphires.
"Ha, ok old man. Name's Gordon! Though most my enemies just call me. . . The Immortal!" Gordon stopped in front of his new opponent and took a relaxed, thug like stance. His sword wasn't even ready or up, it hung at his side.
"I see, a fitting name for an enemy who doesn't ever seem to die. I am the Captain of the personal guard, my name is Calis Van Toura." Calis announced before thrusting his blade forward and stabbing Gordon in the heart. The boy seemed surprised for a moment then looked up with a smile growing on his face.
"That's not very sporty old man." Gordon growled before swinging his own blade aiming for a decapitation.
Calis ripped his blade out, creating a nasty wound on Gordon's chest before taking distance with a backstep. The blade barely grazed his neck. The wound in his chest was large enough that his heart could be seen, torn to shreds. As Calis watched, his heart healed and the wound began to close in seconds.
"Come on, let's keep going, come on, come on. Why do they always run!" Gordon was smiling but his voice was frustrated. He leaped forward and swung his sword without any skill.
Calis deflected and parried, the only one taking damage was Gordon, not like it mattered as his healing speed was insane. Calis realized that he wasn't going to lose in skill, but stamina.
Calis blocked a particularly heavy attack and grunted, gazing into the boy's crazed eyes. He then shifted his weight and spun his wrist, twisting their blades and pushing Gordon's away he slashed downwards trying to cut the Boy's neck off. Seeming to sense some form of danger for the first time Gordon frowned and leaped back.
Calis pressed him further and they moved the fight closer to the edge, Gordon was filled with annoyance.
"Fucking slippery bastard!" Gordon growled as the man dodged and blocked more of his attacks. Suddenly Calis lunged, Gordon couldn't hide his smile at the opening and he thrusted his sword. His smile grew uncontrollable as he felt it pierce flesh.
"Gotcha mother fucker!"
Gordon's eyes widened as Calis's blade sliced his sword arm off and a kick slammed into his chest. "Fucking bitch!" Gordon screamed as he teetered on the edge of the destroyed wall.
"Goodbye, Immortal!" Calis declared as he pierced his sword through the man's chest once more and went to shove him off the edge. Gordon felt the kick slam into him, he reacted without hesitation and grabbed the blade letting the blood pour down towards his chest. Drenching the blade. He pulled himself along the blade, but Calis wasn't stupid so he simply let the blade go and lifted his leg to kick again.
Cough
Calis suddenly coughed as blood dripped from his lips. He looked down to see claws gouging out his chest. "D-damnit." He choked out as Gordon's face turned into a Scowl was the last thing he saw..
"Hey hey, you bastard! What do you think you're doing." Gordon screamed at the Werewolf that had just killed Calis.
"You were losing." he said simply
"So!? I woulda survived that fall! You took my prey I should-" Gordon retorted while approaching the werewolf aggressively.
"Enough, Gordon, we're here for a reason." a different Werewolf, silver in color approached.
"Damnit, fuck, fine. . . Let's go then." Gordon released his frustration before walking over to his sword and severed arm, picking them both up. Re-attaching them with ease, he rotated his shoulder to check then stomped away up the stairs.
"Sir, are you sure about this?" The first Werewolf asked the silver one.
"He will listen to me as long as the contract stands. He respects no one except Maxwell, and Maxwell told him to listen to my orders. Everyone will be fine." the Silver Werewolf replied before leading the way after Gordon. An army of Werewolves appeared from the shadows to follow.

Removed from the chaos where there was a shuffling behind a white door, the name Ruby was written on that door. It was quiet here in this hall. The blue flames lighting the candles flickered calmly, but the events transpiring cared not for the tranquility of this scene.
The candles flickered erratically as a group of four men rushed down the hall. The stomping boots echoed in the quiet, Gothic hall.
"Sister, something is wrong tonight huh?" A young feminine voice spoke up, quiet and shaky.
"Ruby, please just finish getting ready, we have to go." Another voice spoke urgently, a maid with short bouncy blonde hair. Her black and white modest maid outfit shivered with her nerves.
Near the window another girl was standing, a blue and black dress fluttering in the wind. Her black hair was long, after a moment of staring she turned her beautiful Sapphire eyes to the girl known as Ruby.
"That's enough, we're out of time let's go." She offered her hand out to the maid, the girl was hesitant but she took it.
"Princess, please be careful." The young maid spoke shakily as she stepped up onto the window sill. Followed by Ruby who simply stepped out into the air as wings grew from her back.
"Yes, I'll make sure not to drop you Alice." The second sister, Sapphire, said as she lifted Alice into a princess carry and leaped out into the night. Moments later footsteps could be heard rapidly approaching the door.
Bang!
The door to the bedroom exploded showering splinters over the delicate girls room. Standing there was a group of werewolves sniffing the air.
"Dammit! They're gone!" an angry voice came from the werewolf at the front, he approached the mirror at the left wall of the room, stomping on the pajamas tossed on the floor.
Stolen story; please report.
Crash
He angrily smashed his paw into the mirror shattering it and splashing blood. "Fine, head to the servants quarters, we'll need to slaughter the witnesses. I'm sure the princesses are headed to their dear father. The Alpha and that weird fox brat will be headed there too so it's no longer our problem." He then turned and shoved past his subordinates and stomped down the hall.
Soon more screams filled the night as two girls and a maid crashed through a large ornate window and landed in a large throne room.
"Father!" Sapphire exclaimed to a man standing in front of her. He was speaking with a group of nicely dressed men, she was speaking with urgency cause she was afraid. On the way here she had passed a silencing magic field. The sounds of battle didn't reach this place, it was quiet.
"What is the meaning of this!?" Her father exclaimed with bewilderment and confusion. His focus turned to his daughter. One of the men standing there made a hand gesture and time seemed to slow.
Sapphire leaped forward, hand outstretched towards her father as she watched the shadow of a figure fall from the ceiling. The moon glinted off that blood stained blade as it pierced her father's chest.
Bang
Simultaneously the door to the throne room opened and a group of soldiers leaped through, led by Jashua. They arrived just in time to see their king be stabbed, though without much care they moved forward to secure the area. The intruders weren't captured, they were immediately executed by the soldiers.
And Sapphire watched as her father's eyes flowed red and he spun around while ripping the blade out. He smashed his fist into the Assassin's cheek and sent him flying. The wound on his chest began to heal rapidly as he spit out blood and tossed the blade to the ground. It was a short sword with an unusual cross guard. The assassin, with a sewed shut eye, disappeared soon after. He didn't even seem to hit the ground, the shadows seem to envelop him.
Ruby and Alice finally managed to get up. The maid supported and looked down at the smaller princess with worry. Sapphire was about to approach her father to speak when Jashua approached first.
"Your majesty, sir, there is a very powerful intruder on the way here. The captain is keeping him busy but seemed to think he wouldn't last." Jashua reported, the king nodded before turning to his throne and drawing his sword. A long thin blade with a rose wrapped around the crossguard, gripping the sword roughly he turned around and started walking. He planned to meet the intruder, however he didn't have to walk far as the next person to walk through the door was a fox boy dragging a bloody katana after him.
"Hello boys, were you talking about me. We didn't get to finish last time huh?" He exclaimed before seemingly disappearing.
Clang, clang
The sound of blades and sparks appeared right in front of Jashua as Gordon reappeared then he frowned.
"Come on, why is everyone in my damn way!" He growled before taking distance again.
"Jashua take my daughters and go, this might be the end of my reign." The king spoke solemnly, and Gordon smiled.
"Oh can you sense it, this blade can actually kill you old man." Gordon exclaimed with a smile. "You're the target anyways, I guess I'll put my fun aside for now."
As the two conversed Jashua grabbed Sapphire's hand and dragged her from the fight, alongside Alice who grabbed Ruby the four ran towards the back of the throne room.
"I can fight too! Why are we running!?" Sapphire exclaimed angrily.
"If your father dies someone needs to carry on the Royal blood!" Alice explained before Jashua could. But Sapphire wasn't listening, she yanked free and leaped back from Jashua.
"I won't just watch him die, this is absurd!"
"Sister please, let's go, daddy can handle it." Ruby suddenly spoke up and immediately Sapphire's face became conflicted.
"I'm going Ruby, as the first princess you need to escape." Sapphire declared.
"My Lady please! Rethink this." Jashua pleaded, but she bolted before he could. Sapphire returned to the main room where the fight had already started.
Gordon leaped forward, he was holding an actual stance and holding his sword with at least a bit of care. Their blades clashed between them, making a grinding sound as the two pieces of steel grinded against each other before the King made a rotating motion with his wrist, very similar to what Calis had done to relieve Gordon of his arm.
The move forced Gordon's blade into the outside and left him open, the King immediately rotated his body and brought himself extremely close to Gordon before piercing his hand through the boy's chest.
"Damnit damnit! I can't believe I did that twice fuck!" Gordon spat as he kicked back and took distance, his chest healing at a rapid pace.
"Ah I see this will be difficult." The king spoke before leaping forward, Gordon frowned and leaped upwards with enough height to be out of reach, then he spun around with the flip as he came back down he attacked the King's back. Though the king easily blocked, Gordon used the new momentum to send himself backwards before landing again.
"Geez, I guess this is going to be a bit more of an actual chore. I can't have fun with you huh?" Gordon sighed before relaxing his stance as a different aura emanated from him for a moment. He faded from everyone's senses before flashing forward.
Bang!
The two swords clashing shook the room.
Bang, bang, bang, ba-ba-ba-bang!
Rapid fire attacks exploded around the king as he deflected and blocked the numerous attacks. There was a scratching sound gradually increasing as he was slowly pushed back. Then suddenly, out of the blue two attacks happened simultaneously.
"Guh, ah." There was a weird watery grading sound and the dripping of blood on the carpet as a blade finally pierced the king. He looked confused as his sword was blocking a blade made from blood, the blood lost it's sharpness and poured into the carpet as well.
"Haa, haaa, haaaaaa." A deep panting sound came from the now reappeared Gordon, he was bleeding heavily from a horizontal slash across his own chest. His claws were out and dripping with blood, the wound was healing slower than normal. "You're a damn tough old man, but even the strongest being can fall to a really good trick." Gordon smiled as he gripped the sword with both hands, the man wasn't healing.
"Where did you get that sword?" The king rasped with defeat.
"Ha, that's none of your damn business!" Gordon exclaimed before ripping the sword out and letting the man fall, the blood from the King's wound eagerly soaked into the blade.
Sapphire stumbled upon the fight near its end, she immediately leaped forward to participate, but she was too late. As she entered the fight her father was already collapsing.
She extended her claws and immediately went for the throat. A sense of surprise and relief washed over her as she felt her claws sink into flesh. She didn't expect him to be so easy to ambush.
"I'll kill you for harming my father you bastard!" She snarled angrily and attempted to rip his head off.
Though that surprise soon became bewilderment as she realized he allowed her to injure him. She attempted to struggle as his hands gripped hers, but before she could properly react he flipped her around and pinned her arms behind her back.
"Hey, why don't we calm down for a bit princess? Hear me out, you're father's dead and Ruby is on the run. Tracking her down and gutting her will be easy for me!" He smiled while whispering softly into her ear. Sapphire struggled vainly.
"fuck you." She spat while glaring at him, though he only sighed softly. "My father isn't dead!"
"Ha, this is always the worst part, explaining to children how I brutally murdered their parents. Ah well, listen up this sword is a special sword. It consumes magic and blood from anyone it pierced. It is one of the few weapons that can kill a vampire with a single stab. Ok? so you're father is really dead like, really dead ok?"
"F-fucking bastard!" Sapphire struggled to properly internalize the new information and stumbled on her words a bit.
"Alright back to the important question, think about it. I'll get your sister sent off the island if you agree. Otherwise I'll have to kill the both of you. So why don't you cooperate so I don't have to yeah? It'll make my plan so much easier. Whaddya say hmm?" Gordon rephrased his sentence gleefully, pressing his lips close to her ear as he spoke. Sapphire paused for a moment before finally she stopped struggling.
"You're fucking crazy how can I trust you?" Sapphire asked, venom thick in her voice however a bit of worry and defeat plagued it as well. She was pushing her father's death away for the moment and focusing on Ruby.
"Do you have any other choice. Besides, I can't be that crazy otherwise why would I be trusted with such a complex job?"
"Fine, what do I need to do?" Sapphire asked, defeat finally leaked into her voice as she went limp, she'd already seen his wounds heal and recognized that she couldn't beat him in a fight.
"A blood contact will work well, you vampires are fond of those yeah. Make one with me." As he said that he released her and she got back to her feet, Gordon's smile widened as she took a moment but eventually sighed and with a look of displeasure pricked her finger on one of her fangs and traced a magic circle on her palm. Gordon did the same, mana began to leak from those two circles.
"I, Sapphire Vin Bloodstone acknowledge the blood in my veins and connect it to the blood from another's veins. This contract represents chosen fealty to a new master." She spoke without much emotion before reaching her hand out. Gordon took her hand greedily allowing the two magic circles to connect and a burst of mana exploded outwards causing their clothes and hair to flutter while the candles and torches in the room immediately went out.
In the dark room the snow storm cleared for a brief moment and a release of moonlight allowed a glimpse of Gordon making a face of pure psychotic happiness at having accomplished the first important step.
"The New Demon King must have a base to start his conquest. Gulress will do nicely, I've made contract with the wolves. You will put them in power through a coup, an unofficial usurping of power made official by the captured princess. You must obtain at least one of the princesses." Maxwell was standing, his back faced Gordon and he was glaring at the moon like it was his enemy. Though his voice was steady, he seemed to be slightly annoyed by something but he didn't tell Gordon what it was. He turned to look at Gordon as his explanation paused, lifting a cup of tea to his lips he allowed Gordon to think.
"You will need the word of the current royalty in order to pass power to the wolves after all. For the most part you can leave that to the wolves." Maxwell set the cup down before finishing his explanation.
"Yes sir."
"Gordon, you must put one of the Princesses in a dire situation and then force her into a blood pact. You'll need to take control of her without harming her."
"Yes sir."
"There's some other pieces I need to put into place. Gulress will likely be a staging ground, I still need to get ready for the chaos that the emerging Demon King will cause with her Aura. The only task you have after taking power is to open up the old labyrinth, clean it out. It'll be a perfect place to hide the demon army." Maxwell didn't sit down, he remained standing however he stirred his tea as he spoke and when he finished he sipped it once more letting the air fill the space.
"Those vampires won't know what hit them. They'll be expecting wolves, not an immortal fox." Gordon smiled as he puffed out his chest arrogantly.
"You can get started now, the Wolves will meet you at the agreed location here." Maxwell reached into his coat and pulled out a scroll before handing it over to Gordon. The boy took the scroll and left the office.
Hmm, I wonder, what would be the best way to kill him?" Maxwell sighed as he finally sat down, finishing his tea. "An immortal huh? We'll see about that."
