Chapter 1: The Day Everything Changed

Chapter 1: The Day Everything Changed

  Part 1: The Falling Star

The late afternoon sun cast long shadows over Fujisawa, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. The cicadas droned on, filling the air with their endless summer chorus.

Tatsuya Akatsuki wasn’t in the mood to enjoy any of it.

Hands in his pockets, he walked aimlessly through the forest outskirts, his mind replaying the stupid argument he’d just had with Rin Asakura.

“What was her problem this time…?” he muttered under his breath.

They’d fought over something dumb—probably his easygoing attitude, which always clashed with her fiery personality. She stormed off, and instead of chasing after her, he decided to cool off alone.

And now, here he was, wandering the woods like an idiot.

He sighed and looked up at the sky, just in time to see something strange.

A streak of silver-blue light tore through the atmosphere, leaving behind a faint energy trail. At first, Tatsuya thought it was a shooting star.

  But then… it changed direction.

  Straight toward him.

  “…Oh, crap.”

A moment later, a deafening boom shook the forest as the object crashed just a few meters away. Dirt and debris exploded outward, forcing Tatsuya to stumble back, shielding his face.

The dust settled, revealing a small, capsule-shaped pod embedded in the ground.

It was metallic, sleek, and covered in glowing symbols, humming faintly with energy.

  Tatsuya froze.

This was bad. This was really bad.

There were only two logical choices in this situation:

  1. Investigate like an idiot.

  2. Run the hell away.

Without hesitation, he picked option two.

Tatsuya turned on his heel and sprinted.

But before he could take more than a few steps—

  BZZT!

A pulse of blue energy surged outward from the capsule.

  [Intelligent lifeform detected. Activating synchronization.]

  “…What!?”

A sleek black-and-golden device shot out from the capsule like a bullet, heading straight for his left wrist.

  He tried to dodge—too late!!.

The moment it latched onto him, a blinding flash of energy engulfed his arm.

A sharp, electrifying sensation ran through his body, like something was syncing with his entire being. His mind was bombarded with flashes of DNA strands, alien symbols, and pulsing energy patterns.

  Then—

  The light vanished.

  The pain stopped.

And on his wrist, locked tightly in place, was a high-tech watch-like device.

Before he could even process what had just happened, a voice spoke from the capsule.

[You are the chosen one to wield the Xenotrix.]

Tatsuya just stared at the device in shock.

  “…What?”

Then, the voice continued—this time with a far more urgent message.

  [Activating self-destruct in 5 seconds.]

  Tatsuya’s eyes widened.

  “WAIT, WHAT!?”

  [5… 4… 3…]

  “NOPE—HELL NO—!”

  [2… 1…]

Tatsuya ran for his life just as the pod exploded, sending a powerful shockwave through the trees. The force knocked him forward, sending him tumbling to the ground.

When the dust finally settled, all that remained of the capsule was a burning crater.

Tatsuya coughed, struggling to his feet. His heart pounded in his chest.

  “What… the hell… just happened!?”

  Part 2: The First Transformation

The smell of smoke and burning metal filled the air as Tatsuya stumbled back from the crater, still shaken from the explosion. His left wrist felt strangely heavy, his eyes darted to it, locking onto the mysterious device now attached to him.

If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

A sleek, black-and-golden watch-like structure, embedded with glowing green energy, rested firmly on his arm.

He grabbed the device and tried to yank it off.

  No luck.

  He pulled harder. Still nothing.

“…You’ve got to be kidding me.”

He tried twisting it. Nothing. Slamming it against a tree. Still nothing. Even biting it—

  “OW! Okay, that was dumb…”

No matter what he did, it wouldn’t budge.

  It was stuck.

Before he could panic further, the Xenotrix suddenly lit up, displaying alien symbols across its interface.

  [Primary user recognized: Tatsuya Akatsuki.]

  “…Okay, that’s definitely not normal.”

Tatsuya took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. “Alright… let’s think logically. Some weird space watch just forcefully attached itself to me, and then the thing that dropped it blew up.”

“…I’m either dreaming, going crazy, or… this is actually happening.”

He wasn’t sure which one was worse.

  WHIRRRRR…

A faint mechanical noise echoed in the distance.

  Tatsuya’s instincts immediately kicked in.

  Something was coming.

Through the trees, he saw three figures hovering in the air.

They looked like sleek, robotic humanoids with a dark silver exoskeleton, glowing red optical sensors, and built-in weaponry on their arms. Their bodies emitted a faint, pulsing energy, and they moved with unnatural precision.

  Tatsuya gulped.

“…Okay, I’ve seen enough sci-fi to know that these things are not friendly.”

As if on cue, the drones locked onto him.

  [TARGET ACQUIRED.]

Red lights flashed, and the three drones suddenly shot forward, moving at blinding speed.

  “OH CRAP—”

  Tatsuya turned and ran.

  The Chase Begins

Ducking under branches, leaping over roots, and weaving between trees, Tatsuya pushed himself as fast as his legs could carry him.

The drones, however, were gaining on him.

One of them raised its arm, revealing a small energy cannon. A bright red blast erupted from it—

  BOOM!

The shot barely missed, exploding against a tree beside him.

Tatsuya flinched as the impact sent debris flying.

  “Okay—yep! Definitely NOT FRIENDLY!!”

He needed to lose them, but there was nowhere to hide. The forest clearing ahead left him completely exposed.

As the drones closed in, his mind raced.

  (What do I do!?)

  Then—

  The Xenotrix beeped.

Tatsuya glanced down at it. The interface had shifted, revealing a circular dial with a silhouetted figure inside.

  Something inside him clicked.

  “Wait… Is this…?”

The design, the symbols, the way it activated—it reminded him of something familiar.

“…This thing is just like the Omnitrix…?”

It wasn’t an exact match, but the concept felt similar.

  Tatsuya hesitated.

  (Should I… try it?)

A red laser blast suddenly grazed his shoulder, snapping him back to reality.

  “OKAY, NO TIME TO THINK—”

Without another thought, Tatsuya slammed the dial down.

  FLASH!

A blinding golden light exploded outward, consuming his body entirely.

His vision warped, his body shifted, and a powerful heat surged through his veins.

He felt himself grow—taller, stronger, heavier. His muscles expanded, his skin hardened, and an overwhelming sense of power filled every fiber of his being.

  Then—

  The light faded.

  The transformation was complete.

  //Blazearm Awakens//

The first thing Tatsuya noticed was… everything looked smaller.

The trees, the drones, the ground—all tiny.

  Then, he realized—

He wasn’t standing on the ground.

  He was towering over it.

Four massive, muscular arms. Dark purple skin with fiery orange veins. Partial armored plating across his shoulders and forearms. Golden, flame-like hair burning on his head.

Tatsuya looked down at his huge hands in shock.

  “…What the hell am I!?”

  The drones scanned him.

[NEW LIFEFORM IDENTIFIED. THREAT LEVEL: HIGH.]

The first drone charged at him, energy blade igniting.

  Tatsuya reacted instinctively—

  He swung his fist.

  BOOOOM!

The sheer force of the punch created a massive shockwave, sending the drone hurtling backward like a ragdoll, crashing through trees before exploding.

  Tatsuya blinked.

  “…Whoa.”

The other two drones immediately opened fire.

  But this time—Tatsuya didn’t run.

His massive four arms clenched into fists, his burning veins pulsing with raw power.

A smirk crept onto his face.

“…Alright. Let’s see what else this body can do.”

  Part 3: The Fire Within

The forest trembled as Tatsuya clenched his four enormous fists, flames crackling along his arms.

The two remaining drones hovered before him, their red optics flashing rapidly as they recalibrated.

[NEW LIFEFORM: EXTREME THREAT DETECTED.] [ADJUSTING COMBAT STRATEGY.]

Tatsuya rolled his shoulders, feeling an intense heat surge through his massive body.

“This is crazy…” he muttered, his voice deeper and more powerful than before.

Yet—despite the absurdity of the situation—his instincts told him one thing.

  He was built to fight.

  The drones attacked first.

One shot a concentrated energy beam, while the other fired a rapid barrage of plasma bullets.

  Tatsuya didn’t flinch.

  BOOM!

He slammed all four arms together, generating a shockwave of pure force. The incoming attacks were blasted away, dispersing into harmless sparks.

  Then—he moved.

Despite his massive frame, his body reacted instantly, his muscles surging with raw power as he leaped forward, closing the distance in an instant.

The first drone tried to retreat—

  Too late.

  Tatsuya’s lower-left fist swung forward—

  CRASH!

The impact sent the drone spiraling through the air, smashing through tree after tree before finally exploding on impact.

“Whoa…” Tatsuya muttered, staring at his fist.

(That felt like hitting a tin can.)

But he didn’t have time to admire his strength—

The final drone took advantage of his distraction, darting behind him at blinding speed.

A thin blade extended from its arm—glowing red-hot.

  It lunged.

  SHIIING!

  The blade struck his back.

  CLANG!

  The weapon… bounced off.

  Tatsuya blinked.

  The drone froze.

  “…Huh?”

  Then—

Tatsuya grabbed it with one hand.

The drone struggled, attempting to break free, but his grip was unshakable.

  “Nice try,” he smirked.

His upper-right fist ignited, flames swirling around it.

Then—he punched straight through the drone’s core, his fiery fist erupting out the other side.

The drone shuddered, its circuits overloading—

Then it detonated in a bright explosion.

Tatsuya stepped forward from the blast, completely unfazed.

  The battle was over.

He exhaled, watching as his burning veins slowly dimmed.

  The Xenotrix beeped.

Suddenly, his body shrank, his muscles retracted, and in a flash of light—

  He was back to normal.

Tatsuya stumbled forward, his legs feeling weak.

“…Whoa…” he panted, pressing a hand against a tree for support.

His heart pounded. His body felt… exhausted.

Then, he looked at the Xenotrix on his wrist.

“…What the hell did I just do?”

  Part 4: A New Reality

  The forest was silent.

Tatsuya stood there, panting, his heart still pounding in his chest. The scent of burnt wood and scorched metal filled the air. Around him, deep craters and shattered trees marked the battlefield.

But his body—his normal human body—was completely fine. No burns, no injuries.

Only the strange device on his wrist, the Xenotrix, remained as proof that any of this had even happened.

He raised his arm, staring at it.

  “…This thing… It transformed me?”

He slowly traced his fingers over the black-and-green dial, still warm from the previous transformation.

  His mind raced.

An alien capsule fell from the sky.

A strange device latched onto him.

He turned into some kind of fire-powered monster.

And then he destroyed three high-tech combat drones… effortlessly.

  Tatsuya took a deep breath.

“…This is just like the Omnitrix.”

A chill ran down his spine.

He had watched and read enough sci-fi stories to recognize what this was. A transformation device. Something far beyond human technology.

  And now… it was his.

The realization made his hands tremble.

  Was this a blessing… or a curse?

  //Tatsuya Tries to Convince Rin//

Still lost in thought, Tatsuya headed back home.

But there was someone he needed to see first.

As he reached Rin’s house, he hesitated for a moment.

  (We had a fight earlier…)

Before he could knock, the door swung open.

Rin stood there, arms crossed, looking annoyed.

“You finally show up?” she huffed. “Where the hell did you go?”

Before she could say anything else, Tatsuya jumped on her and hugged her tightly.

  “Wha—?!!”

Rin’s face turned bright red as she stiffened.

“W-What are you doing, you idiot!?”

Tatsuya, still overwhelmed with excitement, didn’t even realize what he was doing.

  Rin finally pushed him off.

“D-Don’t startle me like that, idiot!!”

  Tatsuya grinned ear to ear.

“Rin… I think I just became something impossible.”

Rin blinked. “Are you joking with me!?”

“I’m serious! Just come outside with me! I’ll explain everything!”

Rin rolled her eyes but sighed.

“…Fine. But if this is some dumb joke, I’m going to punch you.”

  Tatsuya Tells the Story

Outside, under the dim glow of a streetlamp, Tatsuya explained everything.

  The capsule.

  The device.

  The transformation.

  The battle.

Rin listened intently, her expression shifting between curiosity and disbelief.

“So… you’re telling me… you randomly found an alien-watch in the woods?”

Tatsuya nodded eagerly. “Yes! And it—”

Rin interrupted, “And then, it just… made you a superhero?”

  “…Well, kinda?”

  Rin’s Hesitation

Rin rubbed her forehead, struggling to process it.

“Tatsu, I want to believe you, but… do you hear how crazy this sounds?”

Tatsuya grinned and raised his left arm.

  “Then how about some proof?”

He rolled up his sleeve, revealing the Xenotrix attached to his wrist.

  Rin Pokes at the Xenotrix

Rin leaned in, eyes widening as she inspected the high-tech device.

“…Okay… it looks alien, I’ll give you that.”

She poked at the surface, tracing the glowing lines.

“It’s fused to your skin…? Can you take it off?”

  Tatsuya shook his head.

  “Nope. Stuck with it.”

Rin huffed. “Of course, you are. Youare such an idiot!!.”

  //Sky-Razor Takes Flight//

Rin scrolled through the options and pressed down the dial.

A brilliant golden light engulfed him.

His body shifted—becoming sleek and aerodynamic. His arms extended into razor-sharp wings, his feet sharpened into talons, and his eyes glowed with electric-blue energy.

Tatsuya had transformed into… an insect-like alien.

  Rin gasped. “You have wings?!”

Tatsuya examined himself, then flexed his insect-like wings.

  “…Damn, this feels weird.”

Rin’s eyes sparkled. “Can you fly?”

  Tatsuya hesitated.

  “…Let’s find out.”

  He crouched, pumped his wings—

  WHOOSH!

Tatsuya shot into the sky like a rocket.

  The sheer acceleration stunned him.

  “Whoa—!!”

He spiraled out of control, tumbling through the air. It took several seconds before he stabilized himself.

  Flying felt… instinctual.

He tilted his wings, adjusting his speed.

The wind rushed past him, cool and sharp.

  “…This is incredible.”

  Rin called out from below.

  “Tatsu! Take me with you!!”

  He grinned.

  “Hang on tight.”

Tatsuya swooped down, grabbed Rin by the waist, and took off into the sky again.

  She shrieked.

“H-Hey!! This is way too fast!!”

Tatsuya laughed. “Relax! You’re in good hands!”

The two soared above the city, dancing through the clouds.

Rin’s fear slowly faded, replaced with awe.

  “…This is amazing.”

For the first time that night—she believed him.

  But then—

  She slipped.

  “—TATSU!!”

Without thinking, Tatsuya’s tail shot out, wrapping around her waist.

  Rin clutched onto it.

“…You have a tail?!” she shouted.

Tatsuya blinked. “Huh. Guess I do.”

He chuckled and descended safely back to the ground.

Once they landed, the Xenotrix beeped, and Tatsuya transformed back.

  Rin punched his arm.

  “Warn me next time, idiot!”

“Hey, you’re the one who wanted to fly.”

Rin huffed, crossing her arms. “Still… that was pretty cool.”

  Tatsuya grinned.

Rin smirked. “So, what’s this one’s name?”

  Tatsuya thought for a moment.

  “…Sky-Razor.”

  Rin nodded. “Fitting.”

  Then she nudged him.

“By the way, have you named the first one yet?”

  Tatsuya hesitated.

  “…Not yet.”

“Well?” Rin raised an eyebrow. “What was it like?”

Tatsuya crossed his arms, recalling the massive four-armed form.

“…A real powerhouse. A giant with insane strength.” He clenched his fist. “Every punch caused an explosion.”

Rin grinned. “Sounds like a fiery brute.”

  Tatsuya snapped his fingers.

  “…Blazearm.”

  Rin smiled. “I like it.”

  Meanwhile…

From the shadows, a group of men watched through high-tech surveillance drones.

“…Confirmed. Unknown energy signature detected. Subject transformed twice.”

A deep voice responded through their earpieces.

“Keep watching. We need to know exactly what we’re dealing with.”

The Trackers had found their target.

And soon… they would make their move.
