“Okay but….Make out?” It has to be a joke right? Fausto was thinking that it was going to be something so serious. But kissing her…..that makes no sense? He was hoping that Faust was kidding.

  “Yes!!!! Do it!!” Faust was not kidding as he reconfirmed it.

  “But...but…” This was a problem as Fausto, unlike Faust was innocent. And its to the point that he never touch let alone kiss. This was going to be the first for him.

  In the meantime, Karma was outside the door as she was saying hi to everyone. Everyone was finding her rather weird as she was sweating and nervous as she kept telling them Fausto was doing something important. It was easier than she thought as most of the doctors respected him a lot so they usually let him have his way. But there was one who wasn’t from the hospital.

  “Hey have you seen Leonora, everyone said she is in here.” Leonardo said. Which couldn’t help be the worst timing because this guy …..well this guy,.... Karma was thinking….. how best to describe him. He was persistent.

  “No, she probably is in the restroom.”

  “I asked everyone and they said she was in there,” Leonardo said as he tried to open the door. But Karma got in front of him.

  “Hey!! This is Fausto's private room, you can’t go inside!!”

  “I’m just going to check? Besides, if you are sure she isn’t in there, then I just have to verify.”

  “No, he is very busy and told me to guard the door.”

  “Well, I’m using my authority as a cleanser to go inside.” Leonardo was forcing himself in, but Karma was trying to stop him. She then blocked the door completely.

  “No means no!!!! Karma shouted as she surprised Leonardo. Was she that devoted to him? He then hesitated as he didn’t want to upset her.

  “Fine.... I won’t.” Leonardo then proceeded to leave as Karma sighed in relief. Karma then looked down just to see a bright light coming out of the room. Oh no!!! she cried in her head. How did she stop people from looking at this? “Hey Karma, I was wondering?'' Leonardo sensed something, then turned to look which then left Karma with no time as she had to get his eye away from the door as he was about to turn. Then Karma jumped onto Leonardo as he fell on his back as he caught Karma while landing on the floor. “Uhm are you ok…….” Was the last thing he said before Karma kissed his lips? He didn’t know what was going on. Trying to get an answer, he was trying to push back but Karma didn’t budge as she was overpowering him physically and mentally. Drawing attention, no one noticed that the bright light emitting from the room was growing brighter. Then again the two currently were the star of the show.

  Back to the room.

  “Make out with her?? But I can’t…. is there another way?” Fausto said. But Faust argued back.

  “Look, your shadow when you kiss her will create a direct link that connects you with her. And it's not by the lips. You gotta bring the tongue in there.” Faust said seriously. " As far as I know, besides me and other diviners, you are the only one who could do it."

  “There must be another way?!!” Fausto panicked as this wasn’t his type of thing to do. It was a Faust thing.

  “The other way is worse so be a man and go do it!!!!”

  “But….” Fausto said. But then it got worse as she was glowing even brighter than before. The room was getting hot and even he was feeling like he was getting cooked.

  “Hurry. Before others start to notice!!'' Faust urged him as despite it being dirty, he was being truthful as it had to be fast. Fausto was still having his skin burned but he was wishing he suffered from the burn then giving a kiss. But as the situation became dire, left him with no other choice. Opening her mouth, he then took a deep breath as he dug in. Wrapping his tongue around her he then proceeded to absorb all the energy. Though his body was getting burned, all the energy that was erupting from her mouth were beeing given to Fausto. Rapidly, he didn’t know if a kiss was supposed to be this dry or this painful……. I mean the energy going into his tongue was burning him. Even his insides. His body was feeling hot as he kept on going. It was rather intense to be honest as she was unintentionally trying to give him a rather hot kiss. Fausto wondered if this was what other people felt when they kissed…..he should probably read more novels. The good news was that the kiss did do good for Faust and Leonora, as she soon stopped glowing and the face of unrest was soon quelled. Soon, Fausto was actually touching Leonora's lips as his skin was getting burned so much that he really didn't know if he was making contact. Fortunately, it all worked out as the office Things then calmed down as Sleeping Beauty unexpectedly woke up.

  “Mmmm..” Leonora then opened her eyes. She didn’t know what happened, as just a moment ago she was in pain but something was kissing her. Shocked as she pushed Fausto away. “How dare you kis..” She was going to slap the person who was kissing her. But then, as she noticed who it was, she retracted her words…. “Let's continue where we left off.” Leonora then got her lips out, but Fausto ignored the lips so that he could check her pulse.

  “Everything is normal. Looks like you should be fine for now….” Fausto sighs in relief as he no longer has to worry about it. Leonora didn’t know what happened. She thought he was talking about the kiss. “Anyway, I'm letting you go home for the rest of the day. Get some rest, you look tired.”

  “But..” Leonora said as she wanted to talk about the kiss.

  “Don’t worry, I will tell the nurses.” Fausto wanted to drop it fast as he headed out the door. “It..what in the world?!!” he said in shock.

  “What…” Leonora then went to see what was up. “Oh that is weird…”

  “What are you doing Karma?” Fausto said as he didn’t tell her to kiss Leonardo, right?

  “Leonardo? What are you doing in the hospital??!”

  “Fausto!!”

  “Leonora!!!” They both got up instantly as they regained their composure. But both are rather red from that event. “I came here because I was asked to give you some food by dad.” Giving the box, it seems like an excuse since it seems like they were making out.

  “Oh okay..thank you.” Leonora then grabbed it but was finding it weird as they ate earlier.

  “Yeah.” Things got kinda awkward….as it was rather silent with several people watching.

  “Karma?” Thinking it was best to get on the move, Fausto immediately went to where he wanted to go. Since he needed some alone time with Karma, it was best to get her going.

  “Yes!” Karma said as she found his timing to be a good way to excuse herself of this awkward situation.

  “Follow me.”

  “Yes right away!!!” Immediately following Fausto, Karma hurried to get out of the scene of the crime.

  “Wait, Karma.” Leonardo was going to say something but Karma didn’t look back as she ignored him hoping it didn’t make things worse.

  “Thank you...” Fausto said. “I think you went too far but thank you for distracting everyone.”

  “Mmmm..just don’t make me do that again,” Karma suggested as she continued to clean her lips. She even went to get a cup of water to rinse her mouth.

  “Dam right I'll kill whoever she kisses,” Faust said in his head as he was drawing a lot of bloodlust that even frightened Fausto. But Fausto had less to worry about. Grabbing a napkin, he covered his mouth as he coughed. It was some blood, but he quickly made it disappear. Covering his mouth as it looked like he was actually going to puke a bit more blood. Swallowing down the blood, he was wondering if his blood was going somewhere else besides his throat. Relieved as any longer he might have burned from existence. The next place should help heal him. “You going to be okay?” Even Faust was concerned, as this was the same body they shared.

  “It's fine… it's just rather hot, was all.” Besides, there are more pressing matters. “Karma is a lot more powerful than imagined.”

  “What do you mean?”

  “The shadows are healing her without her control. To even heal without knowing shows how strong she is.”

  “So are you going to teach her?”

  “Yes but not right now.”

  “Why?”

  “Because….”

  “Hey Fausto, so tell me what actually happened there? I really want to know!!!” Leonora came along as she was acting really intimate with Fausto. It was annoying him because he told her to get a day off.

  “You are tired, aren’t you?

  “Nope!!!! I just felt like I got a burst of energy just now. I feel like I can work a day or two!!!” Recalling that she almost blew up the hospital, it was an understatement. Looking at Leonora, there was a change of her appearance as she was glowing. Not like before but glowing as though she went to a spa and came back.

  “I see…..” Karma was getting mad because she had to do all that to help Leonora but she didn't say thanks or anything. Also, why is Leonora getting close to Fausto when this should be a student-mentor relationship.

  “He hugged me so I think he likes me more?” Karma whispered.

  At another part at the hospital

  Knock knock in another part of the hospital, Joseph who had just woken up tried to get out of bed. But despite his wishes, the body wouldn’t let him as he soon collapsed on the floor.

  “Joseph!! What are you doing?!” Walking in, Leonardo rushed to his side.

  “Get off of me!!! I can get up on my own!!” Screaming in rage, Joseph didn’t want to look weak. He hadn’t felt like this ever since he was just a teenager. To experience this again wasn’t something that he wanted to feel. “Now help me get up, I need to go hunt Menace right now!!”

  “But you should rest first. If you were to go out and find him...you could die…”

  “I don’t care!! Right now, the news is going around that Menace is staging a one-man coup against the order. They said that right now is the perfect time to go against the order. All because of my defeat, the word is spreading like wildfire!!” Joseph, when he first woke up, was rather calm. But when he saw the TV, he noticed the cost of his failure. He was famous because he represented the strength of the order to the public. Though there are stronger individuals in the order, Joseph was the one whom most people and countries knew about. So when he is defeated, everyone assumes their strongest was defeated.

  “Joseph, right now, if you die, things would only get worse. Right now, you've been ordered to rest.”

  “Rest???!!” Joseph was bewildered as they would order such a thing. But that is usually not what the order would do. If a failure were to happen it's either go back out there to redeem or face punishment. “The order isn’t punishing me?”

  “They are going to give you the experimental Paladin gear,” Leonardo said to give him water along with files about the gear. Seeing it Joseph then looked at the details. Smiling, he then hands the paper back to Leonardo.

  “I see, then, guess I will follow orders.”

  “But wait, you should know that the gear is still experimental. Also the consumption of the gear are still stronger than what was intended. There are no restrictions nor limitations. If you were to use that armor now...then.” Concerned, Leonardo tried to persuade against such a thing. However, Joseph didn’t seem to care.

  “I will die eventually, so might as well do it, fulfilling my mission.”

  “But….” Leonardo didn’t want to see that. However, Joseph stopped him.

  “I need rest. We can talk later.” Hearing that Leonardo was stumped but seeing that anything further was pointless, so he left. Besides, right now, there were more pressing matters. Leaving the room, he was remembering the kiss.

  “She said she didn't like me like that, yet she kissed me. What does it all mean?” Scratching his head he was bewildered on what to do. “First her. Now Joseph. Why are people so hard to deal with!!!!” Screaming, everyone then looked at him in confusion. Feeling exhausted he thought it was time to take a nap. He really had a long day…..
