{Levi}
At eight o'clock in the morning I received a call from Triple X. He seemed pretty excited about something. "I've got some good news!"
"What good news?" I asked.
"Just meet me at Cornwall Security today as soon as you can," Triple X said. Then he hung up the phone.
I wondered if maybe his excitement had something to do with Eve and George returning home. But I didn't want to get my hopes up in case that wasn't the case. So I told my PA to cancel the rest of my appointments today, even the important ones and reschedule the important ones. I locked down my office and summoned a driver to drive me over to Cornwall Security.

When I got to Cornwall Security Triple X met me at the door and motioned for me to follow him. I followed him down a hallway and up a few flights of stairs to a rooftop where a helicopter was starting to land. Once the helicopter landed I saw Eve and George getting off it and I couldn't stop myself from running to Eve and Triple X did the same thing to George.
"Hey Levi, I'm home," Eve said.
I nodded and kissed her. It wasn't until after I kissed her and pulled back that I noticed how she looked. Her whole outfit was covered in blood and when I looked over at George, his outfit was covered in blood too. That just about gave me a heart attack.
"Chill Levi, it's not my blood," Eve said. "It's Blade's blood."
I paused. "So you… You killed your father?"
Eve's gaze turned cold and sharp at that question. "I didn't kill my father. I killed a traitor. And let's leave it at that."
"Oh," I said.
We walked into the building in silence and George kept giving Eve a look of concern and Eve kept side-eying him every time he did.
Once we entered the building we were greeted by Elder Lewis. He smiled. "I knew you guys would escape on your own! Come let's get you guys to the hospital and then we'll debrief you after you've had some rest."
Elder Lewis escorted us to the hospital where Eve and George were led away to be examined. I wanted to go after them but knew from what Eve's told I have to go by protocol.
Elder Lewis turned me. "Mr. Harriman, you might want to change your clothes. You got blood on them and I'm going to assume that's from Agent 36."
My phone started ringing and when I saw it was Mom calling I answered it. "Where are you?"
"I'm at the hospital," I answered.
"Why? What happened?" Mom said.
I could hear the panic in her voice so I decided to ease her worries. "It's not about me. It's about Eve. She's back now."
"What!" Mom said.
"Yes she's at the hospital. They're examining her at the moment," I said.
Elder Lewis tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, "You should be able to visit her soon. I'll stop by later this week for the debriefing."
I nodded and turned my attention back to the conversation. "Hey Mom, could you do me a favor and bring me a new set of clothes? I'll explain everything to you when you get here."
I hung up the phone and went to the waiting room so that I could go visit with Eve.

{Triple X}
I've heard the tale of the Knights before and I've also heard the cover tale of how the Organization started. The cover tale of how the Organization started was about six scientists who entered a cave in search of a Demon that they heard could help give them something that could give Agents different abilities like the ones we have today. If you think the cover story is crazy then you'll definitely think the original story is about a fairytale.
Never in my life did I think that a new set of Knights would pop up while I'm still alive and still leading the congregation. True, I did start looking for a successor before I found out about George and Branden but I changed my mind. Even Elder Lewis agreed that I should continue working and not go into retirement just yet. My retirement would be an early one but I'm glad I changed my mind about it or I never would've met George or Branden.
Not to mention never in my life did I think that I would be dating one of the new Knights that popped up and the Second Knight at that.
"Man it's too bad that you couldn't see Eve fight Blade, Triple X," George said. "When she summoned her sword she transformed into an actual Knight! And she was determined to kill Blade. She used her Demon Power, Stunning Power and I think her Creation Power and Matrix Power to do it. When she turned time back to normal she walked up to him and sliced him in half with her sword!"
My jaw dropped. "Wow I've heard stories about her being brutal about killing her enemies, but damn that's definitely brutal."
George nodded. "Yup. Not to mention she tore the guy's head off his shoulders just to make sure he was dead because I guess people with his kind of power can survive being chopped in half?"
I nodded. "Yeah, Agents can survive that. And only just survive all the doctors would have to do is sew the body back together. I've seen it happen a couple of times. But if the head is chopped off then there's no coming back from that. Once the head comes off or the heart gets ripped out there's no coming back from that no matter how many times you try to sew them back together."
George flinched. He composed himself and said, "But what I am concerned about now is Eve. I have a suspicion that she might wind up with Agent Flu."
I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Did she develop any new abilities during the fight?"
George shook his head. "No, it's not that, it's just that she didn't even recognize that she killed her own father. When I asked her about it her exact words to me were, 'I didn't kill my father. I killed a traitor.'"
That made me pause. "I don't know. Usually Agent Flu only happens on an Agent's first kill or if they develop new abilities. Although…" I paused again. "Now that I think about it, there was only one other case that I've seen where an Agent got Agent Flu after killing a family member. It happened to a congregation leader who is currently leading A-Circle Leader Lieutenant 32. She was also pregnant at the time. She fell into a coma and woke up after she gave birth to her child. But I'm not sure if it will happen to Eve though."
"I see," George said. "Has any Agent ever you know… Lost their mind before? Like, had a mental break?"
I nodded. "Yes. It can happen in situations like the one Eve's currently going through. If she doesn't acknowledge that she killed her father it won't help matters. But if she doesn't want to acknowledge Blade as her father then you can't force her to. I've seen this happen plenty of times in cases when an Agent turns into a traitor and leaves their children behind. The children refuse to recognize that parent as their biological parent."
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
"Oh," George said. "So what do we do?"
I shrugged. "There's nothing to do. If Eve has a mental break like you said then all we can do is be there for her. Eve will need more support than ever now. Just don't push the issue, okay?"
George nodded.
The fact that there might be a possibility that Eve might have a mental break worried me. But as far as I'm concerned as long as she has a good support group everything will be fine. Or at least I hope it will be.

{Eve}
The next time I opened my eyes I was in a hospital bed but this time I wasn't chained to it. I blinked in surprise and muttered, "That's new. There's usually a chain here."
"Yeah I know right?" I heard Levi say.
I looked up at him. "Hey there."
He smiled as he sat down at a seat by my bedside. "How are you feeling?"
"For the moment, I feel fine. I just woke up, why?" I said.
"Well I got good news…" Levi said as he rubbed the back of his neck.
I raised an eyebrow. "Okay. What is it?"
"You're pregnant," Levi answered. "And you'll get a year off after the baby is born. Apparently, you only get three years off for the first child you give birth to. Whatever children you give birth to after that you only get a year off after the child's born."
That made me think back to what Fate said about me sitting out of the war for a year and then joining the front lines. "So that's why I have to sit out of the war for a year. Of course it would be because of that."
Levi paused. "What was that?"
I shook my head. "Nothing."
Before I could say anything else Zoey ran into the room and jumped into my arms. "Mommy!"
I held onto her and pulled her to my lap. "Hey kiddo, I missed you while I was gone."
"Yeah I missed you too. See Daddy? I told you Mommy would come home soon!" Zoey cheered. She looked at me. "Fate said to tell the First Knight hi. Mommy, who's the First Knight?"
I groaned. "Of course Fate would think to contact my daughter. The First Knight is me."
Zoey's eyes went wide in surprise. "Whoa, Mommy's a Knight cool!" She paused. "What's a Knight?"
"You know who Fate is?" Levi asked, ignoring Zoey's question.
I nodded. "Yep. You know that time when I went into a coma for no reason? Yeah, you can thank Fate for that one."
Levi nodded. "Yeah Fate contacted me too and told me that you were pregnant. She also told me you were the First Knight. I think that's awesome because according to George when you summoned your sword during your fight with Blade you turned into a Knight and it was a sight to behold. Speaking of Blade-"
I shook my head. "Oh, no we aren't talking about that here. Not while Zoey's present."
Levi frowned. "Why not? I think she deserves to know about-"
I cut him off, "Nope. I didn't kill my father. I killed a traitor and that's that."
Levi sighed, "Alright then. But we will talk about this later."
"Daddy, what's a Knight?" Zoey asked again.
"Remember those fairytale stories that I told you before bed?" Levi said.
"Yeah with the Princess and Prince who is a Knight comes to rescue the Princess," Zoey said.
Levi nodded. "Yup, except your mother is the Knight in the story."
Zoey frowned. "But Mommy's not a Prince."
"That's because Princesses can be Knights too," Levi said.
Zoey nodded. "Oh, okay well next time you tell the story switch the Princess with the Prince charming in the tower and the Princess having to rescue him."
Levi smirked and I could tell he was trying not to laugh when he said, "Okay then we'll do it that way."
"I don't understand what's so funny about that you said Princesses could be Knights too," Zoey said.
I giggled, "Yeah Levi a Princess can be a Knight too. So have the Prince be pathetic and helpless next time. Or do you think it's funny because it doesn't go along with the fairytale stereotype?"
Levi snorted. "Okay, okay I get it. Zoey you're way too smart for your own good sometimes."
Zoey shrugged. "What? I'm just going by what you said. Maybe it's because adults can be stupid sometimes? And you guys are the ones that are supposed to be teaching us how to be smart."
"Zoey!" I said.
Levi burst into laughter at Zoey's comment and I joined in. I composed myself and cleared my throat. "Yes, you're right adults can be stupid sometimes too but that's just life. You'll understand once you get older."
"Oh, okay then," Zoey said.
"Well I think congratulations are in order for the lovely couple!" I looked over to see Dr. Larry standing in the doorway.
I gasped, "Dr. Larry! I thought Uncle 42 was taking over my treatment?"
Dr. Larry nodded. "Oh he is, he's just kind of busy at the moment."
I raised an eyebrow. "Now that's something you don't see everyday! Uncle 42, too busy to torture someone!"
Dr. Larry snorted. "You can say that again!"
Zoey perked up. "Oh good that creepy doctor isn't coming today."
Dr. Larry smiled. "Yes, the creepy doctor isn't coming." He turned his attention back to me. "So as I said before, congrats on the pregnancy. I'll take your vitals and we'll keep you for observation tonight and if all goes well you'll be able to go home."
"Works for me!" I said.

One week later…
{Levi}
"Levi I can walk by myself you know," Eve complained as I picked her up and carried her down the steps.
By this time Eve was only two weeks pregnant and it probably looked like I was babying her but I can't help but have my protective side come out around her. Mostly because of what she went through when she got kidnapped. She still has yet to recognize Blade as her father but that's okay because I can't force her to.
From what Triple X told me, if there's an Agent that leaves their post they're considered a traitor and often hunted down by Enforcers and killed. Oftentimes an Agent leaves behind a child that child will refuse to recognize them as their parent. Trying to force a child to recognize a traitor as their parent won't work it'll only make things worse.
Eve and I talked about the issue at least once and wound up having an argument about it with her storming off. Not to mention I wound up sleeping in one of the guest rooms that night.
It wasn't until we got to the end of the stairs that I let Eve down so she could walk by herself. That was when Zoey came running up to us. "Mommy! Daddy! Grandma and Grandpa are here!"
"Oh good, have them sit down in the first living room," I said.
"Okay," Zoey said and she ran off.
When we got to the living room Mom and Dad were sitting on the couch with Zoey in between them. Mom stood up and went straight to Eve. "Darling, Eve! How are you doing?"
Eve smiled. "I'm doing fine Mom."
Mom perked up. "You know what? I think we should go shopping for the new baby soon?"
Eve groaned. "Do we really need another fifteen karate gold crib that costs almost a million dollars? Why can't we just give the kid Zoey's old crib?"
Mom shook her head rapidly. "Oh no, no, no! Hand-me-downs show signs of favoritism! And you don't want to be that type of parent."
"I don't mind if my baby brother or sister uses my old crib," Zoey said. "I'm not using it anymore."
"Aww, aren't you the sweetest granddaughter ever!" Mom said. "But no, that's not going to work."
Zoey tilted her head. "Why not?"
"It just won't work," Mom answered.
Eve did a facepalm and shook her head in dismay. "I will never understand the wastefulness of rich people."
When Eve said that Dad just about choked on his coffee and burst into laughter.
Mom glared at him. "That's not funny!"
"Yes it is!" Dad in between in his laughter. He cleared his throat and composed himself the best he could but it looked like he was going to start laughing again at any moment. He looked at me. "Levi, can I talk to you in the other room? We'll leave the ladies to do the shopping. We are billionaires after all." He gave Mom a quick peck on the cheek. "Have fun!"
We walked up to the second living room on the second floor and Dad took a seat on one of the couches and I took a seat across from me on the other couch.
"In all seriousness though, how is Eve doing?" Dad asked with a look of concern.
I sighed, "About as good as she can be at the moment. She still refuses to accept that she killed her father. I mean she doesn't have to recognize him as her father. I just don't know how to get her to talk about her feelings at least without winding up having to sleep in one of the guest rooms for the night."
Dad snickered at that. "Yeah your mother does that to me when we get into arguments sometimes. At least because of the fact that we're rich I can go sleep in a guest room and still be able to sleep on a bed and not a couch."
"No kidding," I said.
"Well maybe she'll be fine even without recognizing her biological father?" Dad said. He shook his head. "It's a shame I didn't get a chance to meet him but he made his choices and paid the consequences for them. Although after looking at the guy's picture he looks like the male version of Eve."
I nodded in agreement. "He does, doesn't he?"
"Okay things will get better and Eve doesn't have a mental break from this," Dad said.
"I hope for the same thing," I said.
