Chapter 25: Shell come Home soon

  {Levi}

I sighed as I sat in my office finishing up paperwork for the day. It's been a week since Eve and George got kidnapped. I've been worried because Elder Lewis seems to think it's best to wait at least for a month before they go to her location. They figured out her location because the signal on the microchip isn't jammed anymore. Elder Lewis seems to think that since the criminal knows how to disable the microchip they could be using Eve as bait for a trap.

While waiting for Eve to come home I poured myself into work all day and then go home and spend some time with Zoey before bed. Zoey's a smart kid but then again every child that belongs to the Organization is smart regardless if they have an Outsider for a parent or not. She has abilities just like Eve and while she doesn't have the ability to lie yet because she's still too young for that, she's very truthful if not brutally honest with people.

I remember before Eve got kidnapped Kelly made the mistake of asking Zoey if the dress she was wearing made her look fat and when Zoey told her yes Kelly ran out of the room crying. Zoey just shrugged and said, "What? She asked for my opinion on something and I gave her an answer. It's not my fault she didn't like what I said."

I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so much.

Tonight when I tucked Zoey into bed Zoey said, "Don't worry Daddy, Mommy's coming home soon. I just know it. We just have to be patient. I had a weird dream about a strange lady named Fate telling me this. She said she'll appear to you too. When she does, tell her I said hi."

That statement puzzled me but I chose not to say anything about it so I nodded and told her goodnight.

When I turned in for the night I had the weirdest dream. I was sitting at a round table that looked like you would find it in some sort of fantasy film.

"It's about time we get to meet!" I heard a voice say.

I looked over to see a young woman about Eve's age staring at me. She wore brown robes with a red sash around her waist to tie them together and brown sandals on her feet. Her skin was tan and she had black hair and black eyes.

"Hello, my name is Fate," The woman said.

  I blinked. "Hello, I'm Levi."

Fate chuckled. "Yeah I know who you are. You're the First Knight's husband! It's an honor to be able to meet you."

  I paused. "The First Knight?"

"The First Knight is Eve," Fate said. "I guess I should explain things to you from the very beginning."

Fate shared with me a tale that sounded like a fairytale. Apparently the Organization's real name is the Kingdom of the Organization. So the Organization shortened the name to the Organization. Then she told me about how the team of Super Agents are now the modern day Knights. Except this time around the Sixth Knight won't be doing the testing on Agents like the Original Sixth Knight did. Apparently the Original Sixth Knight was about as crazy as Uncle 42 if not crazier. Not to mention Uncle 42 is a descendant of the Original Sixth Knight. That makes sense that the craziness runs in the family.

Then Fate told me about something that was going to happen. Eve was going to fight her biological father named Blade and she was going to kill him. She won't be coming home until Blade is dead. Fate said that she suspects that Eve knows this and is determined to make sure Blade dies so she can go home. Fate also said that a war would start soon after Eve returns home but she'll sit the war out for a year after her baby is born.

Hearing that Eve was pregnant made me pause because she wasn't showing any signs of pregnancy before she was kidnapped. Then Fate told me that Eve got pregnant the night before she got kidnapped.

"So Eve is pregnant?" I said still not believing what Fate just told me.

Fate sighed, "I knew you were going to react that way. But since you don't really believe me, just ask the doctor to check her out when she returns home. I'm certain that she'll get examined when she gets back anyway. Don't worry, she'll come back safe and sound. George who is now the Second Knight, his story will be a little bit more complicated when he gets back. But he'll come back just fine."

  "Oh," I said.

"Hmm, it's getting to be about time for you to wake up now," Fate said. "I've said everything I need to say. Eve will be home soon, just be patient."

I nodded and then I woke up.

  {Eve}

The next day Diego came and got George and I from our rooms and started to lead us down the hallway to the training area. But this time I wasn't planning on going all the way to the training area. I was planning on finding Blade, killing him and escaping from this place.

When Diego entered the room before he even had a chance to do anything I activated my Demon Power and stunned him with it. I knew he was hiding the tranquilizers in his pocket so I searched his pockets but this time I found nothing.

Diego laughed, "I knew Blade had Demon Power and I've seen it at work but I never thought Demon Power would be used on me!"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah that's nice now I'm putting you to sleep for a little bit. Goodnight."

"But how are you-" Diego started. He didn't get a chance to finish his sentence when I used my Demon Power to knock him out.

When I stepped out of the room George came running towards me. "What took you so long?"

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"Oh I just had to make sure that our good friend Diego was sleeping," I said. "We should make a run for it while we can. We're escaping but I also need to find Blade."

"You're going to kill him right? Do you need my help?" George asked.

I shook my head. "No. My fight with Blade is between me and Blade alone. You keep working on killing as many soldiers as you can so we can make a clean getaway."

George nodded and we ran down the hallway together. We didn't get very far as we were met with at least five different soldiers and it didn't take us that long to kill them. We were indeed stronger than them in every way shape and form.

Every soldier we ran into we managed to easily kill. It made me wonder if Blade told his soldiers to not fight back as hard. But then I was able to sense they were fighting to their full potential so I guess they were just weak. I knew there was a possibility of more soldiers coming around the corner. But I stopped short when I saw him. Blade was just leaning up against the nearby wall so casually as if he was waiting for us.

When he saw us he smiled. "It's about damn time you got here! I was wondering how long it would take you to get through the soldiers that I put in your way. That was a warmup to get to the final Boss."

I scoffed, "Final Boss huh? Let me guess, that's you?"

Blade cracked his knuckles and readied his fighting stance. "Yep."

I nodded and readied my fighting stance. George stayed off to the side just like I told him to. No other soldiers came rushing in and I'm going to assume that Blade wanted to fight me alone which was fine because I wanted the same thing.

Blade was the one to make the first move. He shot a couple of fireballs at me and I dodged each of them easily. Before I could land any type of blow on him he shot another fireball and that knocked me into a nearby wall.

That type of blow would knock or even kill any normal person but for me, I just got up and dusted myself off as I got to my feet.

"Is that the best you can do?" Blade taunted.

"Nope," I said. "I'm just getting started!"

I used my Ice Power to shoot Ice balls at him and he fired Ice balls of his own at me. I used my Electricity Power to send lightning bolts at him and he somehow managed to create a shield out of thin air to deflect the attack. With every attack he was either dodge the attack or send out another attack of equal force. It gave me a chance to observe what his abilities were.

"Oh come on! I know you can do better than that Eve!" Blade taunted. "You're the best in the business! You destroyed a meteorite almost four years ago with your Demon Power!"

I didn't say anything back as I focused on my attacks and trying to figure where this fight was going next. At one point I had a flashback about what Trainer Michael would say about fights like this where the enemy was on equal playing ground.

I remember Trainer Michael would say, "What do you do when your enemy has the same type of attacks?"

  "Um…" I said.

Trainer Michael flicked my forehead. "You use combo attacks. Try to make sure your attacks aren't predictable."

I thought about this memory as I started to dodge the attacks that Blade put out. At one point in the fight I realized that I had a nosebleed and my Demon Powers were threatening to come out alongside with my Stunning Powers. So I let my Demon Powers and Stunning Powers and I managed to trap Blade with them. I also used my Matrix Powers to slow down time and I used my Creation Powers to make a handful of bullets. I spun around and threw the bullets at him in certain areas and when I sped up time the bullets landed right where I wanted them to.

Blade smirked. "I was wondering when you were going to beat me. But I still don't think it's enough."

He activated his Demon Power and almost broke out of my hold when I felt a warm feeling in my chest. What's going on? Is he going to kill me? No! I'm not going to die here!

What happened next even left me in awe. A silver sword with a black handle appeared in front of me. It was the same sword that Fate had given me the last time she had talked to me. On the handle of the sword was a red ruby. When the ruby lit up I found that it was in my hand but I didn't remember taking it.

Before Blade could break out of my attack I walked up to him and stabbed him in his chest with the sword.

  Blade laughed, "It's an honor-"

I didn't give him a chance to finish his sentence when I yanked the sword out to the side of him effectively cutting him in half. Just to make sure he was dead I took the sword and chopped his head off. It wasn't until after I chopped his head off that I deactivated my Demon Power and Stunning Power. Once that happened the sword disappeared.

"I don't give a shit about your fucking honor!" I growled.

Honestly, what I said was the truth. I didn't give two shits about what he thought about me. I don't care about what traitors think. He didn't even have the right to call me by name let alone nickname and he died thinking that he could call me whatever he wanted.

I expected to feel something after killing the man that I once called father but I didn't. The only thing I felt was relief that I would be able to go home soon.

"That idiot really did it! He fought you knowing he was going to die today!" I turned around to see Diego standing by the doorway staring at me in awe. "I bet it was an honor for him to be killed by the new First Knight who was also his daughter."

I gave a sarcastic snort. "Daughter? The only thing I think is that I killed a traitor. And you're next."

Diego nodded. "Oh yeah I know I'm next but I'm not going to die by your hand."

Before I could say anything else he pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head. I didn't think he was dead even with that shot because Agents can survive that type of wound. That is if he's an Agent I got the sense that he was though. In order to make sure that he was dead I went up to him and stepped on his neck until I heard a satisfying snap. For good measure I ripped his head off his body.

I looked up at George to see that he was looking at me with concern. "What?"

"How do you feel?" He asked.

"I'm happy we can go home now," I said.

  "No I mean-" George said.

He got cut off by someone else. "Well it's about fucking time those two died. Now I can get to my real mission."

I looked over to see a woman staring at me with a smirk on her face. I raised an eyebrow. "Who are you?"

"My cover name is Ronda," the woman said. "My Agent ID is Agent 009."

  "You're a Double Agent!" I exclaimed.

Ronda smiled proudly. "Yes indeed. I had to stay out of Blade and Diego's way. But the unsuspecting idiot Blade decided to name me as next in line to run the Rebellion. But regardless as to if I'm the leader or not there will be a war."

"Okay," I said. "Why would you go to war with the Organization that you work for?"

"The Elders had been watching Blade for a very long time," Ronda said. "And I have my orders. You'll see and who knows? I might just appoint someone else as leader and move on to a different job. But for now this is my station. And first things first. You two need to get back to headquarters. Oh and here's a towel so you can at least wipe the blood off your face."

She handed me a towel and I wiped my face and hands off. She turned around and motioned for George and I to follow her. We followed her down a hallway and up a flight of steps and to a rooftop that had a helicopter waiting for us.

"Until we meet again or if we meet again Agent 36 and Agent 72 this is goodbye," Ronda said.

Once George and I got on the helicopter I waved goodbye to Ronda happy that I was finally going home.
