Volume 1 Chapter 17: The Elder Sister of the Famous Family
"You don't look like a college student." The little girl's face was serious, but her features were still tender and looked no more than fifteen years old. The young man casually glanced at the two children's clothes, which didn't seem to be showy, but people who knew what they were looking at could tell that these clothes were high-end custom-made. Their background was probably not just "good", but rather at the top of the pyramid in the entire province. It was just unknown which family's child this was, and yet it was so interesting.
She gave him a glance, her eyes calm and unruffled, "Age is irrelevant."
"It's true." The young man looked great, with a clear and pleasant voice, and his smile was even more beautiful. But despite the bright and sunny smile, it inexplicably made her feel a sense of danger, a feeling that couldn't be put into words. It was as if she had seen him somewhere before, but for now, she couldn't quite recall. Her body's instincts made her subconsciously want to keep a distance from this person.
She picked up a few books and then pulled Fang Zikai to settle the bill, without saying an extra word, leaving the young man standing in place, smiling with a harmless face, but if you look closely at his eyes full of interest, you can see a hint of sinister intent.
The driver guarding the door watched the entrance of the bookstore vigilantly, afraid that these two little ancestors would take advantage of his inattention and shake him off again. Over the years, he had been fooled several times, although he was diligent, but also slowly got used to this feeling.
When he saw Fang Zixuan leading Fang Zipeng out of the door, he couldn't believe his eyes. Was the sun going to rise in the west? Especially Fang Zipeng's appearance was really breathtaking. Could it be that these two little ancestors had a fight inside before coming out?
He hadn't even had time to gather his wits when an even more astonished voice rang out, "Zixuan, Zipeng? What are you two doing here?"
A beauty in a white dress walked slowly, the surrounding time and space seemed to be frozen, everyone's eyes were focused on this stunning woman, her every move had a natural elegance and nobility, as if a fairy descended from heaven.
Fang Zixuan racked her brains and finally remembered a vague figure - Fang Ziqian.
"Fourth sister, hello."
"Hello." Fang Ziqian smiled in response, but a look of surprise flashed across her face. When did Fang Zixuan become so polite? "I heard you were in a car accident and didn't go see you, I'm really sorry."
Fang Ziqian and Fang Zixuan's relationship was not good or bad, basically strangers. Her mother, Feng Yannan, disciplined her very strictly, always requiring her to meet the standards of a true socialite, naturally not allowing her to come into contact with spoiled children like Fang Zixuan. Of course, Fang Zixuan belonged to this category. Even the school she attended was deliberately avoided by the Fang family, and she studied at the university's affiliated middle school where Feng Yannan taught. As a result of her upbringing as a socialite, she maintained her politeness when facing Fang Zixuan, which was only natural.
"It's okay." Fang Zixuan immediately showed understanding, while Fang Zipeng was tied up like a rice dumpling on the side, still struggling violently, his small face flushed red with anger, his eyes almost murderous. She wasn't one for idle chit-chat to begin with, and naturally didn't have the heart to waste any more time with Fang Zixuan, so she nodded slightly and turned to leave.
Fang Ziqian showed great curiosity towards them, "What's this?"
Is this the new game of these two spoiled siblings?
"He came to buy books, he was a bit noisy." She explained briefly.
Buy a book? Fang Ziqian's smile at the corner of her mouth was slightly stiff, and she couldn't tell if Fang Zixuan was mocking her. What kind of book would Fang Zixuan come to buy anyway? Were the young masters recently into buying books to burn them for fun?
"This bookstore doesn't sell comics." Fang Ziqian inadvertently revealed a faint sense of superiority.
"Comics?" She looked at her in puzzlement, this kind of thing never appeared in her world, making her momentarily unable to react. "If you want to buy comics, you've walked into the wrong bookstore."
Fang Ziqian's smile stiffened a bit more, wasn't she really intentionally sarcastic towards her?
"You can take your time looking, I've already finished shopping and will leave first." Fang Zixuan's face was calm, without any hint of mockery or sarcasm.
Fang Ziqian glanced at the bag in her hand, and inside it were indeed several books. Fang Ziqian couldn't help but lament for these hidden gems, as this bookstore sold extremely rare and good books, and it was a pity that they had fallen into her hands, not knowing whether she would burn them or tear them apart to play with.
However, her good upbringing did not allow her to show any dissatisfaction, and she spoke seriously and sincerely to Fangzi Xuan in a tone of an elder, "Since you've bought them, don't waste them, be sure to take good care of them when you get home."
Although she knew it was like playing the piano to a cow, she couldn't help but remind him, and as soon as the words left her mouth, she felt abrupt again, and couldn't help but secretly blush.
Fang Zi Xuan nodded in agreement with her words, "You're right, I'll take a good look."
Fang Ziqian was stunned, unsure if Fang Zixuan was being sincere or mocking her. She felt that after not seeing each other for a while, this cousin of hers had become increasingly difficult to grasp, proving that even spoiled brats have their own depth. Nowadays, Fang Zixuan seemed to have reached new heights as a spoiled brat, and the two people were no longer on the same wavelength, making it hard for them to communicate. She smiled awkwardly and said, "Then I won't disturb you guys anymore."
Fang Zixuan nodded slightly, "Let's go slowly."
"Ah ah ah……” Fang Zipeng's face was completely red, his eyes were almost bulging out of their sockets. Seeing him struggling so fiercely, Fang Ziqian finally couldn't bear it, "Zipeng is your brother after all, don't do this."
"Grandma told me to take good care of him, once he's untied, he'll run all over the place, it's only okay when we're on the bus." Fang Zixuan said with a matter-of-fact expression and even tightened the rope that bound him.
If Fang Zikai's eyes could shoot bullets, Fang Zixuan would have been a beehive by now.
Am I a dog? Once unleashed, will I run wild everywhere?!
Fang Ziqian thought for a moment, her lips moved slightly, but she still looked at Fang Zixuan with trepidation and said nothing. Her mother had warned her not to provoke this pair of siblings, although they hadn't interacted much, but she also remembered that the two of them were extremely hot-tempered, if she said too much, Fang Zixuan would blow up on the spot, and she was afraid she wouldn't be able to handle it.
Moreover, there's also the shrewish Aunt Zhang Yun who always looks at me with a mixture of sarcasm and disdain. At the slightest mistake, she would pour dirty water on me. If I were to offend Uncle Zhang's family, my mom would definitely be angry.
She watched as the two strange siblings disappeared from view, her eyebrows furrowed slightly, adding a hint of pitifulness to her already delicate features.
