Karen made her way through the labyrinth under neath the royal palace, recalling the claviscus boy she just intterogated "something was weird about him" she thought to herself
"We might have to keep a close eye on him, although my tests show that he's innocent, anything could happen" she mused, another sharp turn leading her to a chamber with huge doors made of a a metal of unknown origins, even to her
At the moment though, the doors were wide open, she strode through the door, confidently making her way into the room, in the room, a man sat on a chair facing a contraption that looked like cylinder except that it had a radius of about 7 feet and was 10 feet tall
It floated lazily in the air, emitting a silver ish light, which was reflected on the seated mans face, revealing a pale face, with high cheekbones, his face was grizzled, his purple eyes shining in the dim light
"Have you checked up on the boy" he asked Karen "yes your highness, I have intterogated hi- "interrogated?" He asked
"who asked you to interrogate him?" He said after a short pause, his voice containing venom in it
"Forgive me your highness" Karen answered, her shoulders trembling softly
"I have you orders and you flouted them, you have been a capable assistant, do not make me punish you" he ordered while standing up
"Yes your highness" Karen answered quietly
The man stalked towards the cylinder, placing his hands on the cylinder,it opened up to reveal a humanoid, suspended in a liquid of sorts, it's iris blood red in colour, with grey skin that looked like stone and was definitely far stronger

The humanoid slowly revealed a set of sharp teeth with a grin "isn't it the king himself! The being said mockingly staring at the man
The being tried to move, but the runes running along the cylinder flashed and the liquid in the cylinder turned solid, inhibiting it's movements
After a brief lull the man spoke "you and your subordinates managed to exterminate a great house,............ a commendable achievement, although it cost you your freedom" he said gesturing to the cylinder "now I will ask you only once, HOW?"
The being in the cylinder burst into an uproar laughing maniacally "you know? I didn't expect the claviscus house to put up such a fight, even disabled, they managed to seal me in this thing, impressive I must say" it said wheezing
"You are stronger than expected I must add.........but that isn't going to save you, all of you, it's only a matter of time" the being said mockingly
At that moment a guard burst into the room, panting and whispered something into the kings ears"let us leave, Karen" the king ordered and turned his back to the cylinder, making his way to the exit of the room, Karen in tow
As the king was about to leave the humanoid spoke in a cooing voice "sweet dreams, little herald!" Its voice sickeningly sweet
The king turned back to the cylinder, his expression unreadable, but everyone in the room soon found them unable to breath even those who were hidden
as quick as it appeared, the pressure disappeared and the king left, the huge doors closing shut behind him
The king made his way into the labyrinth and soon, was in a richly decorated room, in which the man in the blue coat sat
"Agard, brother, how did it go?" The king said to the man, on his sit,the man sighed and dug into the seat, "it's bad, brother... Really bad, we got bob to answer, but even he couldn't give us good news"
The king paused, looking into his brother's eyes "explain" he said
Soon after, silence dominated to room as the king looked down, a stormy expression on his face "the compasses, where do they point to?" The king asked
"Thankfully they both point to the kingdom, one in polypetria and the other.........mammock"
"Good... find them" the king whispered
Agard nodded and left the room
Left alone in the room, the king took a deep breath and let out a tired sigh
