Episode 4: Aiding the Titans and Preparing the Framework

Cupid was stuck in bed; it was a bad day, and Cupid was screaming at everyone who wasn’t Psyche and Hedone. The Primordial god soon locked himself in his room and lay in bed for God knows how long.

It seemed like the due date was getting closer; it had been 20 decades since Cupid was impregnated, and things were getting a little sus. Zeus and his Pantheon were beginning to sense a strange radiance from the Upper Stratum where Cupid lived.

And Cupid’s Vassals were hard at work trying to cover everything up, but Gaia was also doing her part; she had located the jail cell that held her children, the Titans, and this was the day she was going to visit them.

Gaia walked through the dark cave path and came to their cell; the bars were forged from bolts of lightning. Gaia was saddened by this, but she, being the embodiment of the earth, simply walked through the bars unfazed.

On the other side, Gaia heard her children breathing. Gaia then proceeded further into the cell; she soon came across Hyperion, the Titan god of heavenly light.

His radiant shine had greatly diminished; it was barely a glow.

Gaia soon ran over to him and knelt down, lying against him.

Gaia: Oh my goodness, my sweet child, what has happened to you?

Hyperion was incredibly weak; he could barely speak, but he recognized his mother. His eyes were filled with so much love, and with all his might, he forced a smile.

Gaia would smile and heal him the best she could, and though some of his powers had slowly been restored, the problem was that he was no longer being worshiped, and without the energy from human prayers, he was dying.

  ????: Mother?

Gaia would then look up, and she saw Dione, the Oracle Titan Goddess. Gaia would gently place Hyperion on the ground and run over to Dione, hugging her close.

Dione would smile; she missed her mother, and Gaia missed her.

Dione: Mother, it’s been so long.

Gaia: Yes, it has been, my dear. Where are the others?

Dione: They are further in resting; they are no better than Hyperion.

Gaia: Oh my, I am so sorry for letting this happen.

Dione: Mother, it’s ok; it’s not your fault.

Gaia: Yes, it is. At the time, I thought having Zeus as the king would be a good thing, but sadly he’s worse than his father, and on top of that, I’m the one who started all this by revealing the truth to Cronus. I started all of this horror.

Dione: Mother, it is true that you started this; that is indisputable, but you can’t take the blame for how Cronus reacted. He wanted to stay in power, and that same motivation is also what Zeus wants, and during that time of imprisonment, Cronus has thought it over, and he has seen the error of his ways. He has promised to do better if given the chance.

Gaia: That warms my heart. Hearing that, Dione and I have good news to share with all of you.

Gaia would walk over and pick up Hyperion, and Dione would lead his mother to the other Titans.

Once in the presence of the other Titans, Gaia revealed the truth of what was to come. The other Titans were a mix of excited and shocked to hear about a rebellion brewing and that Cupid was going to be giving birth to a new lineage of Gods.

Astraeus: So if this succeeds, we will once again see the sun, Mother.

Gaia: And so much more. I am working on a plan to restore your powers to you, and when I do, I ask that you all wait for the signal, then we shall attack Mount Olympus at full force.

Cronus: And what of Zeus afterwards??

Gaia: I have a plan for that. Now I have come to check on you all, and seeing you all in this near-death state, I now know what I must do. Please hold on while I put my own plans in action.

Gaia would then teleport to her palace located in a hidden valley, and she would start by crafting a mortal. This mortal was beautiful, intelligent, and alluring.

Gaia named her Alicia, and her sole responsibility was to restore faith in the titans.

When Alicia was perfected, Gaia granted Alicia all the information pertaining to the Titans and sent her to a small island nation.

Alicia was followed by Gaia, who took the form of a bull. Alicia managed to charm and sway the islanders and teach them the way of the Titans, even removing the island nation's own gods from their seat of worship. This island nation was incredibly tiny, but it was enough to gain a surplus of worship that funneled its way to the Titans.

It was a steady supply that was slowly building. Gaia was pleased with this, and so she started playing the long game, performing miracles in place of the Titans and slowly gaining more and more worship.

But this did not go unnoticed by Zeus, who, for the first time in a long time, chose to investigate this disruption in his kingdom. Gaia sensed her grandson coming towards her and hid herself and Alicia. Zeus would then disguise himself as a mortal and would investigate this newfound worship of the titans.

He heard word of a priestess who rode atop a bull and began inquiring about her; the residents would say that she had disappeared. Zeus grew even more suspicious; there had been several disruptions in his world that he was starting to take notice of, so he chose to watch this island nation closely.

Gaia would send word to Psyche, who quickly sent word to Hera, who had agreed to join the rebellion, and her role was to swallow her pride and distract Zeus when it was needed.

Hera being the sexy distraction was something she hated with all her heart, but she knew it had to be done. Hera laid on the charm, got herself dressed in the finest attire that played into Zeus's fantasies, and she went to town on him, giving him an intimate moment of bliss that went on for months, and she did this a total of 564 times.

By the 200th time, Zeus had forgotten all about his suspicions and would proceed to skirt-chase women on earth, something Hera was forced to put up with and swallow her feelings about. Zeus loved how Hera had seemingly changed her opinions about him skirt chasing; little did he know, Hera was going to be one of the key figures in his undoing.

Gaia had not been slouching either while Zeus was distracted. Gaia and Alicia had managed to establish an unbreakable Seat of Power for the Titans, who by this point were able to respond to their new worshipers themselves.

Gaia was pleased with her work, and as a reward to Alicia, Gaia granted her full mortality and freedom to allow her to live her best life.

Gaia had done her part wonderfully. Returning to her palace, she met with her husband, the wheelchair-bound Uranus. He mainly spent his days sitting in the Sky Dome and started observing and manipulating the sky.

Uranus had long white hair, a five o'clock shadow, and dressed in pale blue robes that reflected the sky above. It was dawn in the sky; it was dawn on his robe.

Uranus soon looked at his wife and smiled, and Gaia smiled back at him and soon sat next to him.

Uranus: You’ve been gone a long time.

Gaia: I was busy helping my children.

Uranus: Ah, how are they doing?

Gaia: Oh, that’s none of your concern.

Uranus: I see. Then will you let them know that I was thinking of them?

  Gaia: I’ll think about it.

This sort of behavior was not uncommon for these two; in truth, all of Gaia’s children and Gaia herself hated Uranus. Her children hated him from the start, and that hatred was certified when Uranus imprisoned the Cyclopes and Hecatons.

But after Uranus was humbled by Cronus, he was forever bound to a wheelchair and put in his wife’s care. Gaia still has some love for him, but it’s greatly outweighed by her hatred for Uranus’s past actions.

Uranus: So what’s the next step?

Gaia: Well, with the steady flow of power the titans are receiving, we would need to focus on readying the playing field for what is to come when Cupid gives birth; that is when all hell breaks loose.

Uranus: Well, what if I help out? The sky is my domain; I could create a barrier around the higher stratum that would prevent our grandson from even getting close, and then you would need to disable the elevator leading up.

Gaia: That might just be the greatest idea you’ve ever had. How fast can you set that up? Because we are running low on time.

Uranus: If I start now, it would take me at least a month.

  Gaia: Then do it.

Gaia would then get up and walk out of the room before she reached the door. Uranus spoke up, saying

Uranus: If I do, will I be healed??

Gaia: Ask me again when the rebellion is under way.

Gaia then walked out of the room while Uranus worked to create the barrier.

Meanwhile, in Cupid’s Palace, Psyche was having a meeting with Eileithyia, the Goddess of Safe Childbirth.

Psyche: So do you think you can do it?

Eileithyia: I am unsure about this.

Psyche: I know this is scary, Eileithyia, but for this we need you to do your part and deliver Cupid’s children.

Eileithyia: No, it’s not that I am unsure about playing a role in this coup; I love my father.

Psyche would then take a breath and say

Psyche: Eileithyia I know you have your reservations about this, but it must be done. How many times have you seen your parents fight? How many times have you seen your mother cry and fume with anger?

Eileithyia would start to fidget in her seat; she had seen the worst of it between her parents, but despite all of it, Eileithyia had seen the kindness of her father, and somehow she still wanted to protect him.

Eileithyia: I, umm, I need time to think. I have no doubts in my abilities to deliver the children of a primordial god like your husband, but I have strict reservations about going against my father.

Psyche: I see. Well then, please take your leave and come back when you have made your decision.

Eileithyia would stand up and take a bow, leaving Cupid’s Palace.

Psyche: That girl is absolutely adorable, but she is too much of a Daddy’s girl; she might never disobey him.

????: Not with persuasion alone, no.

Psyche would turn around and see Morpheus rise from the floor. Morpheus had pale blue skin with an indigo and black suit; his hair was tied into a long braid; his eyes were closed, and on his back were long crow wings.

Morpheus: That girl is solely devoted to her father, and she will never forsake him, but that is something I can quickly work around.

  Psyche: What do you suggest?

Morpheus: I can place that girl in a waking dream, and while she is asleep, my brother Hypnose can puppet her from the shadows.

Psyche: But what will happen when she comes out of that dream?

Morpheus: My brother and I have planned for my brother to puppet her into Zeus’s throne room when the deed has been done, then he will make her announce what she did, then she will wake up, and I assume Zeus will be so furious that he’ll try to strike her. Hera will come to her defense and secure her to your palace. How’s that for a plan?

  Psyche: I love it.

  Morpheus: I thought you might

Morpheus would then slink off into the shadows, leaving Psyche alone. Psyche would then walk upstairs to his master bedroom, where Cupid was lying on his side. He was sleeping soundly with little Hedone wrapped in his arms. Psyche couldn’t help but admire the scene and soon left the two alone.

Psyche would then meet with Storge; he was taking a break from his duties, but when he saw Psyche coming over to him, Storge jumped up and bowed.

Storge: Lord Psyche, how are you today?

Psyche: I'm just fine. I just came by to ask for your report.

  Storge: of course

Storge would then reach into his pocket and pull out a tablet and hand it to Psyche.

Who would turn the tablet on and proceed to look through it?

Psyche read through the documents carefully and saw that Storge had managed to perform a lot of miracles with spreading parental love around to those who needed it.

Psyche: Well then, no wonder you're taking a break; you have been a very busy little bee.

Storge: Thank you, my Lord; I do try my best.

Psyche: I can see that, but this is going way beyond.

Storge would then begin to blush heavily and soon hid his face with his beret. Psyche would chuckle and then walk off. He soon met with Agape, who walked over to her lord and said

Agape: Greetings, Lord Psyche. I have amazing news to share.

  Psyche: Oh, produce then.

Agape would then provide several documents on all of Zeus’s bastard children, their lives, what they did, and godlike abilities they had gained from their father.

Psyche: This is good fieldwork, Agape.

Agape: Thank you, Lord Psyche. I have even marked those who would be considered the most difficult to our goal.

Psyche: Thank you. I am going to share this with the others right away. Proceed with the rest of your duties.

  Agape: Yes, Lord Psyche.

Agape would then proceed to her next task of spreading love. Psyche would then call a meeting with the other primordial gods and would share the files he had gained from Agape.

A meeting would be held to figure out how to handle these bastard children.
