[February 2013, New York City: The Battle of New York, though contained, still reduced half the city to rubble. The alien invasion sent shockwaves through the UN Security Council and governments worldwide. You seized the opportunity, using this chaos to declassify S.H.I.E.L.D. intel on the Skrulls and the Kree, revealing that extraterrestrials had been eyeing Earth since the '60s and '70s. The Security Council, understandably freaking out, authorized you to assemble a task force capable of countering alien threats. (Achievement Unlocked: Men in Black)]
[March 2013: With your help, Tony Stark upgraded his Phoenix Suit, enhancing it with not only an exoskeleton and an arsenal of high-tech weaponry but also the ability to achieve high-speed flight without relying on external propulsion. You recognized that Tony Stark was forging a new path. Even without the Iron Man armor, he was one of the Avengers' heaviest hitters, easily on par with that brooding bat-guy from Gotham.
[April 2013, Avengers HQ, Starlight Tower: Doctor Strange paid a visit, claiming to have jumped back five years from 2018. In his timeline, the cosmic tyrant Thanos had collected all six Infinity Stones and, with a snap of his fingers, wiped out half of all life in the universe, including Earth. He'd scoured over three thousand parallel universes, simulating over ten million possible outcomes, and found only one where Thanos could be definitively stopped – a timeline where you existed. But even then, it was probably a one-shot deal.
The other Avengers were skeptical, but when you had S.H.I.E.L.D. confirm that another Stephen Strange was currently performing surgery in San Francisco as a neurosurgeon, they started to buy it.
Doctor Strange explained that the only way to save the universe was to beat Thanos to the punch – collect all six Infinity Stones and snap him out of existence across the entire timeline. Supreme Sorcerer Gu Yi then appeared, confirming Strange's claims, but warning that this course of action could accelerate the Dark Dimension's encroachment on Earth or even fracture the timeline, creating even more parallel universes.
After you all agreed to save the universe, Doctor Strange summoned Avengers from another reality: Black Widow, a surprisingly intelligent Hulk, Iron Man (another Tony Stark), a Captain America version of Steve Rogers, a seriously out-of-shape Thor, and even the Guardians of the Galaxy... Most of them got along, except this world's Thor and the overweight Thor, and the two Tony Starks (Phoenix and Iron Man) seemed to have a bit of a rivalry brewing. You could understand Thor's feelings, though. If your younger self learned you'd end up looking like that in a few years, you'd have a breakdown too.
[May 2013: At the suggestion of Iron Man Tony Stark, you spearheaded the formation of the Illuminati, a covert organization composed of Earth's most brilliant and affluent superheroes, dedicated to resolving crises that threatened the planet and even the cosmos. Winston, the two Tony Starks, the two Bruce Banners, Dr. Zola, Doctor Strange, Mr. Fantastic, Black Panther, and atomic physicist Hank Pym all joined the ranks.
[May 2013 - July 2013: The Illuminati's combined efforts led to an unprecedented surge in technological advancement. In just three months, Earth's tech progressed further than it had in the past five years, even culminating in the development of a spaceship capable of interstellar travel.
[August 2013: You hitched a ride through the Bifrost to Asgard and, with Odin's consent, extracted the Aether (Reality Stone) from its subterranean vault. The out-of-shape Thor also had a tearful reunion with his deceased mother, sharing a heartfelt embrace.

[September 2013: You set a course for Morag to secure the Power Stone. You ran smack-dab into Gamora, Nebula, and Ronan, who were on a mission from Thanos to retrieve the Orb. Moments later, Thanos's flagship arrived, hot on their heels. Despite their formidable power, facing two Tony Starks, two Caps, two Hulks, and two Thors, even Thanos took a beating. Not to mention Winston, who was every bit as capable as Captain America. It was a hard-fought victory, but you knew that if you had faced Thanos's entire army, the outcome might have been very different.
[Late September 2013: You retrieved the Power Stone from Morag. Now, only the most enigmatic of the Infinity Stones remained – the Soul Stone.
[November 2013: Your journey led you to Vormir, the desolate asteroid where the Soul Stone was hidden. After learning the steep price of obtaining the Soul Stone, Winston chose to sacrifice himself. He smiled, telling you that as a monkey, he had already received so much from you – family, friendship. Now, he wanted to return to nature. From 1943 to 2013, a full 70 years, you had witnessed him grow from a scrawny little monkey to a war hero, and finally, a superhero. He had been your loyal companion through 70 years of solitude, never leaving your side. Even for someone who had seen their fair share of loss, his passing hit you hard. But the most important thing was, you finally had all six Infinity Stones.
[January 2014: You traveled to Nidavellir, where the dwarf king Eitri forged the Infinity Gauntlet. After each of the six Stones was set into place, you slipped the Gauntlet on and snapped your fingers.
Across 921,031 parallel universes, Thanos turned to dust.
[February 2014: The time-traveling Avengers returned to their respective realities. According to Doctor Strange, even the slightest ripple could cause a tidal wave of change. This time-traveling escapade had branched off from one universe into countless others, creating thousands of new parallel realities. Hopefully, they would all find their way.
[April 2014: After returning from Nidavellir, you held a funeral for Winston. Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter retired from S.H.I.E.L.D., buying a farm in the countryside to live out their days in peace.
[June 2014: Tony Stark and his secretary, Pepper Potts, became an item. He still missed Winston from time to time, occasionally sending you messages to vent.
[March 2015: With no more loose ends, you resigned from your position as Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and slipped back into a normal life, occasionally taking down a criminal or two and catching up with Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and the others over drinks. You were just an ordinary guy now.
[April 2022: You woke up, back in Brooklyn, 1941, flat broke. Outside, the city was a gridlock of traffic and towering skyscrapers.
