Chapter 8: I want to return the goods

After sending Su Yuntao away, Vilge Chief Old Jack let out a sigh of relief. He turned around and was about to scold Xiao Tianyang, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Instead, he said, "Tianyang, be careful with what you say in the future. Don't act so recklessly. Do you understand?"

"Understood, Grandpa Vilge Chief ." Xiao Tianyang smiled and nodded in response.

Once the mission was completed, they all dispersed. When they arrived, they needed Vilge Chief Old Jack's leadership, but when leaving, at least Xiao Tianyang and Tang San didn't need him anymore.

As they walked home, Tang San couldn't help but ask, "By the way, Brother Tianyang, what exactly did you say to Master Su just now?"

"Oh, nothing, just that I'll fight him in three months." Xiao Tianyang answered absentmindedly.

Tang San was taken aback for a moment before he gave a wry smile and shook his head. "Brother Tianyang, do you have some misunderstanding about level 26 soul masters?"

Xiao Tianyang snapped out of his daze, tilted his head, and asked, "No, what's wrong?"

Tang San looked a bit speechless. "That's a level 26 soul master, and one with a beast spirit that can enhance his own abilities. Are you sure you don't want to get beaten up for no reason?"

"It's okay, at most it's just a beating, and it won't cost me my life." Xiao Tianyang said with an indifferent expression. "Besides, this is challenging, right?"

Tang San was stunned again. At that moment, he realized that Xiao Tianyang's image was growing in his eyes.

'But you should still prepare the ointment in advance.' Tang San thought to himself.

If Xiao Tianyang knew what Tang San was thinking, he would definitely hang him up and give him a beating. Was it really that obvious that he was going to lose?

Right now, the result would most likely be him being hung up and beaten. But that could change in three months.

Soon, the two separated and went back to their respective homes.

Tang San would definitely tell Tang Hao about his twin martial spirits once he returned, but it would be inconvenient for Xiao Tianyang to go there.

As for Xiao Tianyang, he had things to sort out as well, so returning to the quiet of home was the best choice.

As soon as he got home, Xiao Tianyang sat on his bed and focused on the page in his mind.

  Host: Xiao Tianyang

Physique: Pseudo·Pure Body [Killing is not reted to cause and effect, and all things are in harmony with it]

  Strength Level: 8

  Soul Skills: None

  Soul Bone: None

  Martial Spirits:

Scythe of Judgment [Symbol of life, the destination of the dead]

Red Lotus Karmic Fme [Burning cause and effect, washing away sins]

Fme of Creation[Fme of life, the spirit of all things]

  Draw Value: 15

Xiao Tianyang could clearly assess his abilities by looking at his status page. The most significant change was in his Martial Souls, with two new ones appearing.

The Scythe of Judgment manifested in his left hand. It was a single-edged sickle, with white and bck lines on the golden edge. Initially, he thought it was just another weapon, but now, with it in his hand, Xiao Tianyang felt something strange.

Normally, weapons like this would symbolize death, blood, or killing, but for some reason, the Scythe of Judgment felt strangely friendly and lively in his grip. This feeling was difficult for him to accept, but he decided not to dwell on it.

"Forget it, it's a backup martial soul," he thought. "But it's best not to add a soul ring to it before I figure it out, so I don't cause unnecessary trouble."

He then took back his left hand and spread out his right hand. First, a red fme appeared: the Red Lotus Karmic Fire. As the fme flickered, it suddenly turned green: the Fme of Life. Xiao Tianyang couldn't help but smile as he watched the fmes switch back and forth.

"Others can only use one of their twin martial spirits, but I can use both at the same time. This advantage... no matter how talented Tang San is, he won't catch up to me, right?"

Xiao Tianyang had noticed this strange ability back at the pce where had awakened his spirit tool, but he hadn't shown it to anyone then.

As for why these two fmes seemed to have no power, it's because Xiao Tianyang hadn't infused them with soul power. Just like the Judgment Scythe earlier, it appeared as though it would naturally burn out.

After sorting through this information, Xiao Tianyang set it aside and, rubbing his hands together, said, "After completing the task, there's still a chance for a random draw. System, I want to draw a prize!"

A carousel appeared in Xiao Tianyang's mind. The types of prizes on it were all kinds of strange, and the list was so numerous that it made his eyes hurt, and he couldn't figure out the reason for any of them.

"Forget it, let's just spin it," he muttered.

After a while, Xiao Tianyang rubbed his swollen eyes and spoke again. The roulette spun, and the pointer quickly nded on an egg.

Ding Congratutions to the host Xiao Tianyang for getting the Sky-Tearing Evil Dog pet egg.

Xiao Tianyang opened his eyes, and an egg the size of a washbasin appeared out of nowhere, nding in his arms.

"Hehe, it's quite heavy," he said with a reluctant straightening up, unable to help but compin.

He had secretly equated the things the system was going to send with a dangerous equator in his mind. Even sending an egg seemed careless. If he got something bigger or more fragile, wouldn't it be the end of the world if it dropped like this?

Nevertheless, the egg had to be pced somewhere. Xiao Tianyang first put it on the bed, took out a quilt from the cabinet, spread it on the floor, and then moved the egg onto it.

After doing this, Xiao Tianyang felt less stressed. Having completed the task, he had gained many benefits, and he suspected he might need to change the environment to fully capitalize on them. But there was no rush. Once Tang San was ready, it wouldn't be too te to begin.

After thinking this through, Xiao Tianyang, who was lying on the bed, snored lightly and drifted off to sleep. However, unbeknownst to him, his hair began to thin, and its color gradually turned white...

Xiao Tianyang didn't know how long he had slept, but suddenly, he dreamed of being knocked down by a soul beast. It pressed on his chest, and its saliva dripped onto his face, making it wet and uncomfortable.

Unable to bear it, Xiao Tianyang woke up from his dream and opened his eyes. He was shocked because a tongue appeared in front of him. This must be a dream come true!

With a bang, Xiao Tianyang nded a left hook to the head, knocking the "evil obstacle" away on the spot!

"Ow!" The creature screamed, and Xiao Tianyang looked at it in disbelief. He gnced at the corner where he had stored the egg.

Well, the st bit of the quilt was gone.

"What kind of vicious dog is this? I want to return it." Xiao Tianyang compined under his breath as he raised his head to look at the creature in front of him.

The creature stood about one and a half meters tall. Its soft, glossy fur looked appealing at first gnce, with a base tone of white, complemented by bck on its back and head. Its pure blue eyes were strikingly beautiful. If one didn't know its origin, they might mistake it for some kind of wolf.

But Xiao Tianyang, who hailed from another world, quickly recognized what this creature represented. It was clearly a husky.

"What kind of evil dog is this?" he muttered under his breath, completely baffled.
