Chapter 28: Legendary gear and finding more loot
“HAHAHAHAHaaa! Did you see how they looked?! HAHAHA!”
Thalia was laughing extremely hard, while Xhemile’s face got redder and redder.
She couldn’t stand the embarrassment anymore.
“Why did you do this?!”
“Why? Just because I could~.”
Xhemile’s gaze turned icy.
“Okay, okay… I did this because I knew how they would react. I mean… men would obviously be stunned by the sight of such beauties~”
Xhemile was at a loss for words. She couldn’t understand Thalia’s logic. She turned her head towards the spoils they obtained, trying to change the subject.
“How about we look what we obtained after all that fighting.”
“Ah…right we had such a thing to do too…”
They both turned their gazes towards the beautifully adorned chest. Xhemile pot her hand on the lid and opened it.
Inside were two items.
[Heirloom Spear
Description: This is a very finely crafted spear, made out of ores only found in the deserts of the Karomama tribe. It was refined and crafted by the best smiths and enchanters of tribe and would be passed down through the generations of a prestigious warrior family inside the tribe.
Note: Can only unleash a portion of its potential in the hands of a woman. Not usable by men.
Hidden: Unleashes its full potential in the hands of a Karomama tribes member.]
The spear had a finely crafted wooden shaft with a few golden engravings in it. The tip was made out of an unknown metal and was also adorned with engravings of another metal which had a green color. Xhemile picked up the spear and swung it a bit. It was light in her hands and easy to wield.
“Well, I am not gonna argue what the other party gets as a reward.”
Xhemile turned her eyes towards Thalia, which had a beautiful darker colored bow in her hands. The bow was made out of a darker shade of wood and also adorned with engravings in a lighter purple color.
[Night Bow
Description: This bow made out of dawn wood, which can only be grown in caves, is made for the art of war. It has a string made of the silk from a cave arachne. It was used to go hunting or in the battlefield and changes the strength requirement to draw it on its own.
The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there.
Special: When the Archer pours mana inside the bow, it can release arrows made of mana with properties decided by its user. (Example: poisonous, extra bleed effect)
Note: This bow can only be drawn by a Night elf or a descendant of the night elves.]
“Nah, I will also take the bow.”
Thalia looked surprised at Xhemile. She saw her turn her head away with a slight smile on her lips. She chuckled dryly.
“You can make jokes? That’s a new one~…”
Suddenly her voice changed, which caused Xhemile to look at her.
“Do I need to work for it~? Should I make myself useful to you~? Let me show my dedication towards you~!”
With each word she approached Xhemile by a step, while also having a sultry voice and rummaging on her clothes a bit to show a bit more cleavage.
Xhemile retreated while averting her gaze and hiding her red cheeks. Thalia's teasing was on another level. She started to think, that she and Marwa were somehow similar.
Both had probably a skill in teasing her!
“N-no! You can have it!”
“Alrighty~.”
Thalia’s voice almost sounded regretful. Xhemile decided to ignore it, nothing would come around, if she thought too much into it.
They both then concentrated on finding a new spot to loot. Preferably, loot new clothes or armor for Thalia, as she still used the clothes she was transported here.
After a bit of walking, they came across a blue light beam. They both made a plan after scouting out the area a bit.
This time, the chest was guarded by a pack of wolves. Thalia took a position on top of a tree to release her arrows, while Xhemile jumped down to them, to confront them directly. The wolves jumped up and after a bit of hostile growls exchange, they charged at her. Xhemile sidestepped the first attacker which Thalia targeted and killed with a direct hit to the head.
Xhemile used her spear to attack the second wolf. She noticed how light the spear was to wield and how easily it penetrated the wolf's chest. It slumped and died shortly after. The other wolves, clearly surprised by their strength, started to use their brain more and circled Xhemile. That was a bad idea, as they completely forgot that she was not alone.
The next wolf was hit by an arrow.
It yelped and jumped backwards. This time the arrow didn't hit anything vital. After a short amount of time the beast suddenly became aware of its waning strength. It slumped to the side and died shortly after on the poison applied on Thalia’s arrow tip.
During this event, both women fought against the remaining three wolves. They quickly overpowered these wolves as they became more enraged and started to attack like savage beasts without any intelligence.
After defeating the remaining wolves and looting the now dead ones, Thalia and Xhemile approached the chest. It was adorned with golden engravings, but not so luxuriously as the legendary or epic grade chest. Thalia opened the chest.
She picked up the cloth which was in the chest.
[Elven gown
Description: This gown made by silk worms, has a soft texture to not irritate the soft skin of elves. It was enchanted with protective features and boasts a surprising amount of resistance towards blades and other weaponry.]
Thalia looked at Xhemile with a grin.
“I’m changing now. So, want to peek at me undressing~?”
“I-I’m turning around!”
Xhemile swiftly turned around and started to admire the forest and its small critters. All while resisting the sound of somebody undressing behind her.
After a while the sound stopped, but Xhemile didn't notice it.
Kinda relaxing, just looking arou-
“Ahhhnnn~!”
Xhemile jumped away from Thalia, which somehow sneaked up on her and moaned in her ear.
She started to laugh at the startled expression of Xhemile. After she calmed down, she swirled around.
“And~, what do you think of my new clothes~.”
The gown had a very light purple color which showed a stark contrast towards her dark purple skin. Her curves were hugged by the gown and she also had a cutout on her chest department, revealing soft flesh, but not too much. The gown was also adorned with a few small jewels. It stopped shortly beneath Thalia’s hip and covered all most important parts, but also revealed more skin than normal gowns.
Xhemile gulped.
The next day would be hard, if she continuously stared at Thalia’s backside during their walk.
