One night as we were relaxing, we heard Nate scream loudly; it was go time. Amoi knew exactly what to do and asked us to prepare towels and hot water. Eton and I quickly set to work, and then a few hours later.
We had two healthy twin boys. Nate was absolutely ecstatic with his twins. Eton and I came into the room and smiled at them. I even got to hold them, and honestly, I felt so incredibly happy, but at the same time, incredibly nervous. I kept chanting, Don't drop him, don’t drop him, in my head.
I soon sat down, and it was a little bit better.
Nate wanted each of us to spit out a name for his sons. I threw out the name Link, Eton threw out the name David, and Amoi suggested Justin.
Nate soon picked out the names Justin and Link. Eton was slightly annoyed that his options didn’t get a consideration, but he shook it off completely.
So now we had two babies in our home, and we loved them dearly. Amoi was the main caretaker along with Nate while I and Eton cared for the farm.
But over time Nate began acting strangely. Amoi said that he was going through postpartum depression, and it was really bad. One morning when Amoi went to check on Nate, he was gone, leaving a simple note explaining that he wasn’t ready to be a father, and he left us a fortune to support Link and Justin. This hurt the three of us greatly because we cared for Nate, and we would have helped him out if he had opened up to us, but humans are incredibly fickle, and this is something we have learned to deal with.
Still, the three of us took charge of the kids, as I said.
With Amoi taking care of them during the day and me taking the night shift, Eton was honestly the most affectionate and was able to put them down for a nap and put them down to bed at night.
One night as I went out to get some fresh air, I felt a strange presence. Looking around, I saw him, the Maestro; he was dressed in his usual elegant and eccentric clothing.
Maestro: Celestine, please listen to me.
Celestine: I have nothing to say to you, Maestro.
Maestro: Please, I want you to return to me. You’ve seen how troublesome and problematic these humans can be; why not be rid of them?
Celestine: Maestro, can’t you see I’m happy here? My friends remain on this earth in one form or another. If you dare try to cleanse this world, I will do all I can to stop you.
Maestro: Celestine, I love you dearly, and the sole reason why I can’t cleanse this world is because of you, but the thought of you staying down here in this tainted world hurts me greatly. You're too good for this world, Celestine. Please come back.
Celestine: No, now be gone.
The Maestro would then go back to Heaven, and I made my way back inside, and sitting at the dinner table was Eton. He gave me an understanding look.
I then went to bed. Eton would then give the news to Amoi, but for the following years we were left alone.
I can’t tell you the amount of joy in my heart when Link and Justin started walking Eton, who didn’t see a thing, was actively cheering them on for every step they made.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
It was a really good day. We were also able to set up a proper nursery for the two. We chose a sea turtle theme for them.
With the funds Nate had given us, I was able to purchase a Joey, and needless to say, I was wearing it full-time every day as I worked. I had either Justin or Link on my person at all times, and I constantly gave them affection as I tended the crops and collected the honey.
We also started to plant flowers: roses, carnations, lilies of the valley, bluebells, and many more beautiful flowers.
Nights became harder when Link and Lucas were teething; luckily, Amoi was there to guide us, but with the Maestro knowing of our location, the three of us thought it would be fine if we used our power to restore the farm even though it was partially functional; it would help us in terms of growing crops and other things.
Eton Amoi and I soon stepped outside, and we began to use the Restoration Hymn.
Soon our voices united to create a soft light that soon spread over the whole farm. Everywhere the light touched buildings, they would begin to mend in seconds, the soil would become fertile, and everything was brought back to its vibrant glory.
By morning the three of us were exhausted, and we went inside to rest, which was incredibly short-lived because we lived with children.
Over time we were able to make money with the honey and crops we were able to produce. The local shop said our produce was incredibly high quality, and we were able to get a good deal.
One morning I was in the kitchen preparing two bottles. Amoi had taught me how, and I decided to put my own spin on it by adding some of the honey from our bees. With the two bottles in hand, I took them to the nursery, where I found Link and Justin both playing on the golden rug. I smiled and said,
Clestine: Hey there, kiddos, bottle time.
Both Link and Justin looked up at me excitedly. I soon got down on the floor and crossed my legs, pulling both of them into my lap, and I soon bottle-fed them both.
These two happy little babs soon began to suckle down the contents. I chuckled when they both began to let out satisfied coos.
Either way, this was an incredibly warm and lovely experience, as the two let go of the bottles; I held them close and began to burp them both one at a time and soon let them play with me.
It’s not too surprising that children, when they are really, really young, can see the true forms of higher beings, with angels being no exception. After playtime, I get these two babies changed out of their wet pamps and I read them a little story.
Soon Eton entered the room, a smile on his face as he said
Eton: Rain clouds are coming, so we won’t need to water the crops in the evening.
Celestine: Thanks for the heads-up; that really helps and takes some work off my back.
Eton: I know anyway; I’m going to read a book. You know, Braille books are certainly interesting.
I would then chuckle; looking down, I saw that Justin and Link were fast asleep. I let out a sigh and soon wrapped my arms around them and slept with them.
When I woke up, it was midday; Justin and Link were still sleeping, nuzzled up against me. I let out a sigh and enjoyed the warm moment.
Soon the rain had started, and my lap had gotten warm. I quickly started changing my two charges. I had grown so skillful at this task that I performed it without waking them. I then placed the two in their shared crib and then made my way outside to watch the rain. Eton and Amoi were with me.
Amoi: I don’t know why, but the rain is so soothing.
Eton: It’s a serene chorus greatly revitalizing all of nature.
Celestine: I greatly agree.
When we were in heaven, we had witnessed the creation of rain before it was sent down to earth. Rain is made with tears from an angel called Lady Lacrumosus. She is the reason why rain has the effect it does. Rain is gathered in the same way humans learn in school, but when it reaches the heavens, that water is imbued with Lady Lacrumosus’ tears and then distributed into clouds. which sends the imbued water down to earth to revitalize all the flora of earth.
We’ve never witnessed it falling to earth; it’s incredibly peaceful in an odd way.
The three of us sit and enjoy the rain; that is, until a bolt of lightning and thunder clapped for me and Amoi. It was no problem, but Eton was a little rattled, and then he said,
Eton: The twins were startled.
Amoi: I got it; I’ve had enough rain watching for now.
Amoi would then head inside, and Eton and I would enjoy the rest of the rain shower until it left. Returning inside, Eton and I were making dinner. We decided on buttermilk pancakes since we started gathering honey. We’ve been craving things that pair well with honey, and pancakes are on the top of that ever-growing list.
I smile and make the pancakes. I make three stacks of six, put them on plates, and cover them in honey. I bring them over to the dinner table, and soon Amoi comes in happily, saying he was able to get Justin and Link put down to bed safely.
We then enjoy a lovely plate of pancakes; they taste heavenly with the succulent honey back in Heaven. We had never had the chance to eat, and frankly, we don’t need to, but it’s a heavenly experience nonetheless. Some humans overindulge themselves in it too much, but for us, it’s a small guilty pleasure that we can enjoy.
And that is a treasure my friends and I can greatly enjoy.
