Watching a movie has various audio-visual experiences such as 3D or IMAX, but Zhao Zhu's experience absolutely exceeded the limits of what any cinema in the real world can offer.
In terms of hearing, vision, touch and so on, it is absolutely immersive, which cannot be simulated by any external device.
The only regret is that from the moment he entered the Tai Chi Hall to the start of the morning assembly, Zhao Zhu's line of sight has been fixed on one thing - his toes.
Only listening, not speaking or acting, as if it were a clay sculpture, with no sense of existence. This also made Zhao Zhu, the lodger, feel somewhat bored and uncomfortable. I reckon even the most amateurish director wouldn't be foolish enough to shoot such a scene for half an hour. But all Zhao Zhu could do was watch; he didn't have the qualifications to make any changes. He had tried before, but he was like a true outsider, unable to make any changes to this body in any way.
The speeches on the imperial court seemed to have nothing to do with Zhao Zhu, but in fact, he patiently listened for a while, but still felt a bit bored. On the one hand, the officials' accents were too heavy, and it was really hard to understand what they were saying. On the other hand, Zhao Zhu stood at the edge of the imperial court, closer to the gate of Taiji Hall, so he couldn't hear very clearly either. Listening carefully would only make him more confused.
However, Zhao Zhuo couldn't help but admire the owner of this body, who had maintained this posture from start to finish, and what was even more remarkable was that he hadn't moved a single muscle. This was already beyond the realm of ordinary people. Who could maintain an absolutely still standing posture for so long? Even the angle of his gaze hadn't changed at all. Both in terms of character and physique, he had been tempered to perfection.
At last, with a loud voice like a wild goose, "Retire" was heard, and the court meeting came to an end. The officials withdrew in order.
Zhao Zhu's line of sight was still staring at the ground, following the crowd to move out, but as he walked, Zhao Zhu found that something was wrong. This person began to deviate more and more from the masses, even intentionally avoiding other officials who came to court and going to places where there were fewer people.
Later, after unknowingly circling for who knows how many rounds, two small eunuchs appeared in Zhao Zhu's line of sight. At this moment, Zhao Zhu's gaze slightly lifted, from always staring at his toes to being able to see the clothes of those eunuchs, yet still not daring to look at their faces, as if afraid of offending these eunuchs. The master of this body was indeed cautious and meticulous enough.
"Lord Lei, His Majesty has ordered me to wait for you here." A eunuch said in a low voice.
"Thanks for showing me the way." The man pulled out a stack of silver notes from his sleeve and handed them to the eunuch.
That eunuch also quietly accepted it and smiled: "Lord Lei, you're being too polite."
"A little filial piety is not enough to show respect."
"Alright, let's not keep His Majesty waiting any longer, let's go, Lord Lei."
"Follow me."
Two eunuchs led the way in front, and this so-called Lord Lei followed behind, still walking with his eyes downcast, proper to a fault.
Zhao Zhu's mind started racing, "Lord Lei", which famous official in the Qing dynasty had the surname Lei? He thought for a long time but couldn't think of anyone. After all, only a handful of people can leave a clear impression on history books, and most people are just ordinary passersby lost in the river of history. At this point, trying to guess who he was based on just a surname seemed a bit too difficult.
After walking around and checking various routes, they finally entered a study. The two eunuchs did not follow them in and waited outside instead.
Zhao Zhu himself hadn't had time to see clearly what the situation was inside when his line of sight fell again, and it fell very thoroughly. The owner of this body was performing a ritual bow.
"Your servant Lei Fada pays his respects to Your Majesty, may you live for ten thousand years, ten thousand years, and ten million years!"
Huh? What's going on with Lei Fa Da?
Zhao Zhu now had some impression and finally knew who this guy was that he possessed. It could be said that it was also a coincidence, as Zhao Zhu had seen a wall hanging with information about people surnamed Lei when he visited a famous ancient building in Beijing, and the first one on the list was indeed Lei Fada.
In the late 17th century, a southern craftsman named Lei Fada came to Beijing to participate in the construction of palaces. Due to his exceptional skills, he was soon promoted to take charge of design work. From him onwards for seven generations until the end of the Qing dynasty, major imperial buildings such as palaces, mausoleums, Yuanmingyuan and Yiheyuan were all under the responsibility of the Lei family. This hereditary family of architects was known as "Lei Style".
The Yangshi Lei family originated from Yongxiu, Jiangxi. From the first generation of "Yangshi Lei" Lei Fada in the Kangxi period to the seventh generation Yangshi Lei Leitingchang's death at the end of the Guangxu period, the Lei family had seven generations designing and building palaces, gardens, mausoleums, government offices, temples, etc. for the imperial family. Because several generations of the Lei family were in charge of the Qing dynasty's "Yangshi Fang" ( equivalent to today's chief architect), they were respectfully referred to as Yangshi Lei, also known as Yangshi Lei in colloquial terms.
It all makes sense now, Zhao Zhu finally understood why he possessed this guy and entered this eerie memory scene. This underground mausoleum, this ancient tomb, no, at least the part modified by Emperor Kangxi, must have been done by Lei Fada's hand. Many of the previous mechanisms were also likely to be Lei Fada's work. Indeed, they are of high quality, and every mechanism here is absolutely ingenious.
"Relax, tell me about what's going on over there, how is it going?"
This should be the voice of Emperor Kangxi, a deep and solemn voice with an unquestionable supreme authority, which is the absolute momentum from identity and status.
"I'm fortunate not to have failed in my mission, and basically everything is done, just waiting for the final inspection."
Lei Fa Da stood up, but when speaking, he still lowered his head and bowed his waist. Zhao Zhu originally wanted to see what the Kangxi Emperor looked like, but also had no chance.
"You take care of things, I'll be at ease. By the way, I've already spoken to Mingzhu about that child Rongruo's matter. We Manchu people have finally produced a talented individual, and it's time to show him off to our ancestors. Our Manchu martial arts have already proven to be stronger than those of the Han people; it's only a matter of time before we surpass them in music, chess, literature, and painting as well."
"This is all due to Your Majesty's virtuous teachings and enlightenment, I should congratulate Your Majesty!"
"Haha, there are many people flattering me, and I don't lack one more. Help me handle things well and efficiently, and I will grant the Lei family a hereditary artisan title, to be enjoyed together with the country."
"I will definitely go all out for Your Majesty's affairs!"
Kangxi's words still echoed in his ears, but Zhao Zhu felt more and more distant, so far that it made him feel a bit unreal. Later, he suddenly found himself back in reality, having just pushed open the door of the Taiji Temple. However, due to being dazed from "soul flying too high" earlier, his foot got tangled on the tall threshold, causing him to stumble and fall forward.
Grass.
Because of this fall, Zhao Zhu was really too careless and had no defense at all, so it hurt even more. However, when Zhao Zhu rubbed his wrist and got up from the ground, the pain suddenly disappeared. Zhao Zhu suddenly found that in front of him, on the dragon chair of the Golden Palace Hall, sat a person wearing a bright yellow dragon robe, and around him stood a group of officials wearing Qing dynasty official uniforms.
And what made Zhao Zhuo's scalp numb was that this wasn't the memory from earlier, this was reality, this was really reality!
Moreover, Zhao Zhu clearly saw that the sleeves of the official robes of several nearby Qing officials had a layer of white fluff on them, they were all long-haired!

Ming Zhu is Nalan Xinde's father, a big shot in the Kangxi era.
"Yang Shi Lei" appeared in San Shu's tomb notes...... Here, Little Dragon is not copying San Shu, because this person and his tribe really existed, with records in history.
