Jenny giggled to herself. She could hardly believe what she was looking at. A little, greenish-silver man stood inside the glass dome. Jenny gave the greenish-silver man wings and made him wave. She waved back and giggled again. This was so cool.
“I’ll name you,” Jenny tapped her lips in thought then smiled as she decided on the perfect name, “Greenie.”
It was kind of weird to see herself from greenie’s eyes while still seeing Greenie from her own eyes at the same time, but it no longer made her nose bleed.
Jenny leaned against the wall where she was sitting to make sure she wouldn’t fall then spread her wings as Greenie and flew around the glass dome in small circles. After she had fallen off the bed once in her real body while flying around as Greenie, she learned to keep herself more secure.
She knew it was serious to get stronger as fast as possible so she could be a superhero and save her Daddy, but she couldn’t help having so much fun. When she was Greenie, she could fly, transform, and even eat bugs. The bugs even tasted good when she was Greenie.
Mister Chuck had been gone for a while today, but that was okay. She didn’t need him to keep going. The Gilberts would bring more bugs for Greenie and more candy for her whenever she asked. She didn’t even need to eat dinner first.
Greenie bumped into the glass and tumbled to the floor, losing its form while Jenny lost herself in thought.
Jenny giggled and this time turned Greenie into a tiny elephant. It was still silver and green and wasn’t very detailed since Greenie hadn’t eaten an elephant, so the form came from Jenny’s imagination. She popped back into Greenie’s head and ran around on all fours while making a trumpeting sound through Greenie’s trunk.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
So far, she wasn’t able to make Greenie talk like Frankenbug did, but she could make sounds. Talking just didn’t make sense yet.
Greenie started to feel hungry, so she called for the Gilberts to bring Greenie more bugs and to bring her a banana split with extra chocolate sauce and no bananas. She didn’t have to wait long before the Gilberts brought her everything. One of them was covered in a black body suit, but the other just looked like a regular adult.
“Why do some of you wear that?” Jenny pointed at the Gilbert in the body suit.
The normal Gilbert looked to his covered friend and then back to Jenny, “I am not sure I can say.”
“Is it a secret?” Jenny asked with wide eyes. She was even more interested now.
“Not exactly,” The Gilbert said, “I simply have not been told whether I can say or not.”
“Oh,” Jenny responded, far less impressed since it wasn’t a real secret.
The Gilbert made to leave without continuing the conversation, so Jenny thought of something to say as fast as she could.
“Can you let Greenie out? I want to ride on its back.” Jenny asked.
The normal Gilbert looked at her and shook his head, “I am not allowed to yet.”
“Pleeeease? I promise i’ll be careful.” Jenny said.
“I cannot,” Gilbert said.
Jenny knew he was being unfair and that made her mad. She stared hard at the normal Gilbert and tried to make him listen to her like Greenie did. Something about the Gilberts felt similar to Greenie, so she focused as hard as she could and said, “I said let him out.”
“I… uh,” The Gilbert started to breathe heavily and then obeyed; pulling out a key and letting Greenie out of the glass dome.
The covered Gilbert turned and ran, but Jenny focused on him too and shouted one word “stay!”
The covered Gilbert froze and turned back to face Jenny.
Jenny’s nose started to bleed again, but she wiped it away and smiled. She knew if she kept practicing, the blood would stop and her super powers would get even better.
“Now both of you can play with me and Greenie,” Jenny said, then focused and both of the Gilberts started clapping. That made her happy and she giggled and clapped too.
Being a Superhero was the best.
