Chapter 13- Strange dream and shenanigans

I woke up in a dark void. No, I was still dreaming. I wasn't sure as to how I was aware of it, but I was. Looking around, I saw a strange man. I was unable to see him properly, however. It was as if my mind was simply unable to understand what I was seeing.

"Welcome to nowhere. You must have many questions. Go ahead, ask them." (???)

This wasn't a normal dream, I knew that much. The being in front of me was far too strange compared to what I usually saw in my dreams. Still, I had to stay calm. I did have questions to ask to this man and panic would not help.

  "Who are you?" (Dragonfly)

"Ah, who am I? That is a good question. I am many things. What's important for you is that I am the one who blessed you." (???)

I did have an unknown blessing from when I had gotten injected with dragon blood. I wasn't too sure as to what it did, but it was most likely helpful.

"What does your blessing do?" (Dragonfly)

"It helped you survive the transformation and granted you a new magical affinity. Oh, and it messed with that system a bit, amongst other things. Well, time's up. See you!" (???)

With that, I woke up in the witch's manor. What was that about?

Thinking back to the short conversation, I realised one simple fact. I had learned absolutely nothing useful.

  ...

Well, the man had spoken like we'd see each other again, at least. I would have to ask more questions next time. Hopefully our next encounter wouldn't end in under a minute.

Getting up, I took another look around the room now that I wasn't extremely tired. It was still just as golden. Noticing a mirror, I walked over and stared at my reflection.

The pair of crimson eyes that stared back might have scared me if they weren't mine. Taking a closer look, I realised that my skin and my eyes were pretty much the only things that weren't gray. My hair was gray, my scales were gray and even my horns were gray. I had to admit that I was a bit intimidating. To be fair, the fact that I was still wearing bloodstained clothes wasn't helping.

I was about to rumage through the drawers for clean clothes when the door was violently kicked off of it's hinges.

  "Morning! Slept well?" (Camity)

In the doorway was an enthusiastic witch covered in a red liquid.

"Why are you covered in blood?" (Dragonfly)

"To match with you, of course." (Camity)

I felt like there was a more logical solution to the issue of me being dirty than getting dirty herself, but sure.

"Can I get a change of clothes? I'd like not to wear bloodied rags all the time. And well, cleaning up would be nice." (Dragonfly)

Me saying that was promptly followed by an indignant scoff. She still had an obvious mischievious smirk on her face, however.

"What? Are you dismissing all of the hard work I put into my appearance to fit with you?" (Camity)

  ...

"Alright, alright, you want to make a good first impression on my daughter, I get it. Come, I'll show you where the bathroom is." (Camity)

Deciding to py along with whatever new nonsense she was going to come up with, I began to follow the witch as she opened the door and walked out.

Wait, hadn't she destroyed the door a few moments ago? I turned around to check and, sure enough, the door was still on the floor. Had she made an illusion of the door just to be able to pretend to open it? Probably.

Turning my attention back to Camity, I noticed that she was casually walking on the ceiling as if it was a completely normal thing to do. I had a couple questions, as one might imagine, but I decided not to ask them. She would probably just answer with another joke if I did.

She eventually jumped off of the room and nded on the floor in what could only be described as a really weird backflip.

"This is the bathroom. Do not mind the pnts, they aren't sentient." (Camity)

She pointed to a green door and then promptly disapeared, leaving me alone in front of the bathroom.

Inside was a room with quite a lot of vegetation. And by that, I mean that every single inch of floor, wall, roof and even furniture was covered in leaves. It was unique, but looked quite nice. The only issue was that the bath was on the wall.

I tried to take a step on the wall to see if I could imitate what Camity had done earlier and, sure enough, I felt gravity pull me sideways. Walking on walls was certainly a novel experience. Wait, did this work in the whole mansion? That was actually really cool. Not that I would admit it out loud, of course.
