When I woke up again, I was back in my cell. Well, not that that's a surprise, I always ended up here if I passed out during an experiment. Tho weirdly enough, the room was way dustier than usual. It's not like I was out for long enough for dust to build up, right? This was probably just a different cell.
Unfortunately, my thinking session got interrupted by a sharp pain. I could thank whatever was injected into me before I passed out for that, no doubt. Oh well, at least the pain tolerance skill that I got after suffering through these tests is coming in handy. This pain was strange, however... I felt like the space behind my back was hurting? What?
Taking a look, I saw something strange. There seemed to be two rge gray things tched unto my back. It did not take long for me to realise what those actually were. They were wings. Last time I checked, I did not have wings. Nor a tail, for that matter. Oh, and those are horns. What is going on here?
"Ok, so my new limbs seem to be covered in gray scales. That's interesting. They remind me of something I'm sure I've seen somewhere. Wait don't tell me, are these dragon wings? Oh. I'm talking to myself. Great."
Deciding that there was only one way to be sure, I checked my status mentally.

After looking through my stats, I realised one thing. I wasn't human anymore. Now, I didn't really have any attachment to my humanity, considering how other humans treated me my whole life, but realising that I changed so much was... shocking, to say the least. Also, I was 13? I aged up by a year? How long was I out?
After calming down once again, I resumed looking through my status. Most of the stuff I saw in there was not really too surprising. One would expect that turning into a half dragon would give them a huge buff, after all. However, upon reaching the skill section, I grew concerned once again. I apparently received a blessing from some unknown entity and gained an affinity to... something? That sounded a bit ominous, but at least unstable genetics was gone.
I was still trying to figure out what happened when a rge man wearing pte armor walked in front of my cell. I quickly identified him as one of those imperial knights that sometime visited the b.
"You. Yes, you. The emperor is satisfied with your results so far. You are the first to survive being injected with dragon blood, after all. His majesty has decided that you are too important of a test subject to be refered to with only a number. As such, he has decreeted that you shall now be known as Project Dragonfly. Be grateful."

As if this day couldn't get any weirder already, I learned that I apparently had caught the interest of the emperor. That and the system had an error due to interference, leading to my name only being Dragonfly. I must say, I gave up trying to understand why any of this was happening at that exact moment.
I did not, however, stop thinking about what I should do. I was obviously not grateful to that stupid emperor. I did not know what he had pnned for me, but I wanted no part in any of it anyways. However, this looked a chance to finally escape this pce too. After all, if I pyed along for just a bit, the knight might lower his guard.
"Ah, I am truly grateful for such a blessing. However, may I know why our great emperor is taking an interest in my humble self?" (Dragonfly)
I somehow managed to keep a straight face while saying all of that. Restraining the urge to puke on the spot was harder than I thought.
"You shall be the ultimate weapon of the Gcius Empire. You will allow our glorious leader to end the war that's been pguing us all for decades! Tomorrow, you shall be transported to the capital to be trained by the best of the best so that you may serve the empire, as is it your destiny!" (Knight)
I only listened to one part of that whole speech. I was going to be transported somewhere. This was an opportunity and I had to take it. After all, there would be no way for me to escape once I reached the capital.
