Caius's originally pleasant gaze dimmed, his sharp eyes shooting towards Austin, "Sneaking a drink?"
"Don't be so petty, Kaylus, you're already so wealthy." Austin said with an innocent smile.
"Xīn xī yà." Kǎi è sù hū rán cè guò liǎn kàn tā, yīn sè hěn chén, "kàn jiàn mén kǒu de nà tóu lù le ma?"
Translation:
"Cynthia." Caius suddenly turned his face to look at her, his tone very heavy, "Did you see the deer at the door?"
Cynthia murmured in response, still somewhat perplexed, "What's wrong?"
"It will appear on your breakfast table tomorrow." Kael's tone was flat, and with a casual ease, he sentenced the silver-horned deer at the door to death.
"I believe the kind Cynthia wouldn't let you do this." Austin's smile didn't change, and even rose higher at the corners of his mouth, without showing any sign of anger.
It's hard to imagine how this deer followed such a heartless master.
Cynthia shook her head, and with her hands on her knees, she quietly scratched her arm through the fabric, calmly replying, "I'm young in age, but what the Elf King raises must be a great tonic that can help me grow taller. I don't want to miss it."
"It seems that every time I come here, a few deer are going to be eaten" Oster's pure smile finally had a hint of helplessness and a bit of indulgence.
It's not just a sudden impulse, and it's not the first time either.
Cynthia probably understood why Kyrios could tolerate Austin's cold butt.
Essentially all are abnormal.
Anthony carried the wine and led Jo and Evie into the dining room.
Anthony held a bottle of wine in his hand and somehow produced the remaining half cup of white wine, placing it in front of Austin. "Mr. Austin's wine glass fell into the wine cellar."
"This was originally meant to be shared with Cynthia, unfortunately she didn't even get a chance to drink it." Austin didn't mind the half cup of wine being returned at all, and picked it up to take a sip.
Cynthia shot a sideways glance at the silver-haired elf king in front of her.
Looking for trouble.
Caius's eyes, which had just drooped, suddenly turned icy cold to the bone. He lowered his noble chin and gazed at Cynthia beside him with an icy and intimidating gaze. His voice was like a raised scythe of death, soft yet perilous, "You want to drink from the same cup as him?"
"I didn't! I won't! Don't talk nonsense!" Cynthia, quick-witted, immediately raised her neck and replied loudly, "Why would I like you when I don't? Why would I like a insect?! Austin isn't as good-looking as you, and his figure isn't as good as yours either! He even wants to eat me up!"
Austin, who was named, had to put on a proper attitude and correct the mistakes in her words. "Cynthia, I'm far from being a bug, we're not of the same race, and I've already apologized to you for eating people, that was a beautiful misunderstanding."
"Don't explain, you are in my eyes!" Cynthia stared at Kael with her big, innocent apricot eyes filled with sincerity.
"Cynthia, there's no bug as pretty as you." Austin tried to coax her back. "You should come play with the sprites, I bet you won't want to go back to Kael's side again."
"I'm not interested in insect orders." Cynthia turned her head, unwilling to continue this unproductive conversation.
Bang.
A loud crash interrupted the quarrel between the two, Kael's foot cracked the stone floor, and his pale fingers crushed the wooden armrest.
"That's enough! Be quiet!" His elegant tone was high-pitched and mixed with anger.
"It's all his fault." Cynthia muttered softly.
"Get Austin's meal out of here and throw him out!" Kael's tone was unmistakable, sharp and ruthless.
The once proud Elf King could only be so humble in front of Khaos, Cynthia sneaked a glance at Austin, intending to give him a mocking look, but found that he had already gotten used to Khaos' arrogant attitude and was even wearing a warm smile on his face.
He slowly stood up, "Then I'll have to trouble your servant to deliver meals to my room. You can't let me starve during my recovery."
This is obviously fake, Cynthia thought to herself with a hint of disdain.
After all, he was the Elf King. Anthony wouldn't really bundle people with meals together, would he? He put the wine bottle on the table and nodded: "Glad to be of service."
Anthony gave Joe and Evie a look, indicating they should hurry up with their meal.
Austin gave Cynthia a meaningful glance before elegantly following Anthony out.
Qiao couldn't help but cough lightly, reminding Xinsiya not to overdo it. She put the only lemon fish in front of the two and interrupted, "Xinsiya specially made it for you, you can try some."
Evelyn took over Anthony's pouring duties, coming over to fill the two glasses with red wine, bowing her head respectfully and saying "Dinner is served."
As soon as he finished speaking, he reminded Joe that it was time for him to leave.
Before leaving, she always took three steps and turned her head back to look at Cynthia, with a hint of worry in her eyes.
The large dining hall was soon empty except for the two of them.
Caius didn't even glance at the sumptuous dinner, instead he turned sideways and pinched Cynthia's chin, leaning in close, "Do you like being treated as food?"
Suddenly caught off guard with her chin pinched, Cynthia subconsciously shrunk her neck, then calmly replied, "I like being treated as food by you."
She's probably used to Kael's outbursts and thinks it's normal even if he kicks the castle to pieces now.
"Austin was so bad, he sneaked a drink and locked me in the wine cellar. Luckily Joe came to rescue me." Cynthia found his gaze slightly relaxed, along with the serious atmosphere in the air, and she leaned back slightly to free her chin.
"Why go to the wine cellar?" Kael asked alone, coldly interrogating.
"Just passing by." Cynthia replied without batting an eyelid, "I found the door open and thought you were inside, didn't expect it to be a worm."
The words on the tail are lingering, as if sighing.
Kairos stared at her with an icy discontent for a while, himself not understanding why the scene just now had made him so angry that he wanted to tear Austin apart.
Is this just an ordinary exchange? No, he immediately vetoed in his heart, it was Austin who disrupted a dinner that could have been quietly carried out, he touched his private property, so he was angry about it.
After a wait of over ten seconds that seemed like an eternity, Kael finally spoke up, "Stay away from him."
"Uh-huh!" Cynthia wanted to nod, but her chin was still in someone's hand. She felt her face start to itch and had to suppress the sensation, which was really annoying.
"Don't pick up any smell that I dislike." Kayyster emphasized this point.
"I guarantee it!" Cynthia replied firmly, her hands on her knees were already itching to scratch the red rash on her neck and touch her face.
It's really itchy.
Her obedience and listening had tempered Caius's attitude, his eyes finally seeing something off about that uneasy face.
