Chapter 86: His Kiss

The car drove a long way and finally arrived at where Cynthia would be staying tonight.

It was neither a post station nor a farmhouse but an independent two-story mansion.

The exterior of the house is built with brick walls, and the triangular roof on top is covered with a thick layer of turf, almost hanging down to the wall, while in rural areas this kind of earth-covered building is everywhere.

Getting off the carriage, Cynthia looked again in that lively direction, which was now very far away, leaving only a small dot.

She can no longer hear the hustle and bustle around her ears, only faintly hearing the sound of running water, barking dogs, and insects chirping in the grass.

Tonight there is no moonlight, she can't see very clearly what the scene in front of her is, but just by listening to the sound, she can also imagine a pretty good picture.

By the time she had retrieved her luggage from the car, Kael had already gone up the steps and opened the door.

Cynthia didn't expect him to deign to carry her luggage either, after all, in his concept, this thing was called a burden.

Fortunately, Qiao had not prepared many things for her, so she could still carry them and follow him in.

All the wall lamps and gas lamps on the table in the house were automatically turned on.

Warm-toned furnishings, wooden surroundings of the house, green sofa, lamp decorations, and transparent curtains add a calm balance to the warm atmosphere.

The tablecloth covering the classical curved legged table is also in warm tones, on which are placed irregular exquisite porcelain.

Kairos frowned at the layout in front of him.

It's clear he's here for the first time too.

His dislike was written all over his face.

These strong, vivid colors against an unchanging black were two extremes, like immersing oneself in a vat of dye, which made Kael feel strongly uncomfortable, but Cynthia's expression was the opposite.

She was extremely satisfied with everything here, especially this warm and cozy decoration, which is much better than the magnificent but cold castle.

She was very happy to carry her luggage and look around, without saying hello to Kayser, and ran upstairs lightly like a bird.

Right at the staircase entrance, there were only two rooms. One was spotless and tidy, while the other was covered with a white cloth and filled with dust.

Cynthia narrowed her eyes and retreated to the staircase, looking down and asking, "Is this a temporary setup?"

"Hmm." Kael sat down on the green velvet sofa, his fingers sparking a flame that he tossed into the fireplace, where it immediately ignited.

"There's only one room available." Cynthia said with excitement, "We'll have to sleep together tonight!"

Kaius responded with a lukewarm "uh-huh", showing no intention of getting up.

She put her luggage in the room and ran downstairs again, holding a box of cookies that she hadn't had time to eat yet, and came before Kaisa.

Cynthia bent down and placed the snacks on the low table, then ran into the kitchen again, soon brewing a pot of red tea and bringing it over.

"Joe specially made rose cake, and also lemon-flavored small cakes." She opened the wooden box with a happy face, then handed the knife and fork to Kaysers, "Want to have some together?"

Perhaps it was her expectant expression, but Kael reached out to take it, and Cynthia didn't even sit down on the couch, instead squatting beside his knee, staring intently at a slice of lemon cake.

Out of politeness she gave priority to Kayus first.

After all, there are many types, he may not necessarily choose the one she likes.

And her small movements were all seen by Kael, who looked down at the milky white cake with a pretty face and no expression, "You want to eat lemon flavor."

"It's a very ordinary statement, Cynthia raised her eyes and looked at him, 'You first.'"

The consequence of being polite is that Kairos got the worst one! He chose that lemon cake with his black-gloved hands!

"I actually think the rose cake is delicious too." Cynthia pinched her fork, staring at the small cake being elegantly picked up by Kais.

He grunted, showing no intention of giving in.

Cynthia watched as he was about to take a bite, suddenly she supported his leg with her hand, picked up her own fork and inserted it into the cake, dug out a piece and sent it into her mouth.

"I'll try it first for you, just in case Qiao didn't make it well."

She was too reckless, and a bit of cream got on Kael's finger as he held the fork, his face sank.

Cynthia soon discovered that she had soiled his gloves, her face flushed with anxiety, subconsciously, she swallowed the cake in her mouth, to make up for her mistake, she directly stretched out her head and bit his fingers.

She gently licked off the bit of cream through her glove.

A crack suddenly appeared on Kael's expressionless face.

Cynthia herself didn't consciously lift her head, sweetly smiling, "It's clean, it's clean, I think the taste is a bit sour, you'd better eat rose cake."

She reached out to take the cake from his hand, but Kael suddenly grabbed her wrist and lifted her whole body, slamming her into the sofa.

"Kayus!" Cynthia shrieked, watching in horror as the lemon cake splattered onto the floor, her fork clattering down beside it.

He grasped her hands tightly, as if they were a pair of handcuffs locked onto his head, his expression was indescribably strange, neither cold nor hateful, but a kind of inexplicable and bizarre desire.

Kairos leaned in close to her, speaking softly, "I have to admit one thing, you are indeed very special."

  "What's what"

Luckily she was pinned under the couch, Cynthia's legs had already begun to soften, she tried to move her wrists to sit up, but the body on top of her was within inches, those lips almost touching hers.

Cynthia's heart almost jumped into her throat. "If it's because of that cake, I'll go buy you another one tomorrow!"

He leaned in too close, those restless red eyes really made her a bit flustered, she looked up at her own hands, but was released from the restraints in the next second.

Before she could react, Kael bit off one of his black gloves and lifted her chin with one hand, bringing her face back up. The intense peppermint scent wrapped around her fiercely.

  Divine Light Progress: 45%

Cynthia's eyes widened suddenly, and her unbound hands forgot to move on top of her head.

  He kissed her actively.

Her rapid heartbeat seemed to have stopped at this moment, Cynthia couldn't describe it, what kind of experience was this.

She only knew his lips were warm, unlike his sculpture-like face that was often frozen in coldness.

His warm lips were pressed against hers, slightly moist, and the action inexplicably reminded Cynthia of her licking his fingers just now, extremely strange and awkward.

She lay on her back on the sofa, trembling with her eyelashes, and his scent was all over her breath.

I don't know if I'll be blocked or not, but I've been very restrained ε=(ο`*))) Sigh
