She thought she should respond somehow, at least not be stiff and unresponsive under his active kiss.
Cynthia gently, inch by inch, stuck up and touched his teeth.
This slight collision made the Kaisers on his body tremble violently, and he suddenly sat up straight from the sofa, rapidly retreating backwards until he collided with the wall, causing a canvas oil painting hanging above to fall to the ground.
Kairos' eyes swept across Qiu with a fierce gaze, his suppressed emotions growling at her, "Go upstairs!"
Cynthia slumped on the sofa immediately, her lips slightly parted, unable to understand why he suddenly became so fast, didn't even let her take the initiative?
Her eyes quickly turned red and misty.
Cynthia withdrew her hand and slowly propped herself up against the sofa cushion, her expression tinged with shame and distress. "My legs have gone soft."
Kairos muttered a low curse, the large door of the house burst open with a loud "bang", and he vanished into the room in an instant. A whirlwind was stirred up, blowing out sparks from the fireplace.
The living room was empty and all the ambiguous atmosphere had disappeared.
Cynthia wiped away the tears that were about to fall from her eyes, and sat still on the sofa for a while, before her sad expression gradually returned to its usual calm.
She couldn't help but narrow her eyes and savor the kiss they had just shared, licking her lips.
It feels really good, she likes losing control of her Kyrios.
Looking at the cake that had fallen on the edge of the sofa, Cynthia curled up her lips.
It was probably because of someone's entry that the grassland outside suddenly had no insect sounds.
Cynthia rubbed her legs that had gone soft from being stimulated, patted her slightly red cheeks, and only then stood up to clean up the mess on the floor.
Fortunately, it was just a simple wooden floor without carpet. She took a towel to wipe it clean and ate two more rose cakes to fill her stomach before slowly walking upstairs.
There's nothing more comfortable than taking a hot bath after sitting in a carriage for so long.
A few minutes later, Cynthia came out after taking a hot bath and changing into her nightgown.
She stood on the floor for a while and then took out a new quilt from the bedroom and spread it on the ground.
She was uncertain whether Kayus would allow her to sleep in bed with him even if he had kissed her.
She has always been unable to figure out what's on his mind.
It was a bit cold in the room, she curled up under the quilt, and only a gas lamp on the bedside table was still lit.
Cynthia yawned twice before the bedroom door was finally pushed open.
Kaius finally came back from his trip.
The black robe on his body was casually slung over his shoulder, revealing the black shirt inside. A few buttons were undone at the neckline, exposing a hint of fair skin. His originally neat and tidy black hair was now very disheveled.
Going out for a trip is just like taking a bath.
Cynthia sat with one hand holding her knee and leaning against the headboard, the quilt covering half of her face, while the other hand lightly touched her lips below.
Caius walked in and saw her without much emotional fluctuation, but his facial expression remained tense.
He tossed the long gown he was wearing onto a chair at the bedside, walked around the bed and came to her pallet.
Cynthia immediately put down her hand and looked away, unwilling to raise her head.
"Do you plan on sleeping here?" A low, elegant voice suddenly rang out from above her head.
Cynthia bit her lip, and in the short few seconds of response time, she had thought of many excuses in her mind, but none of them could be a direct reason for going to bed.
She hung her head and abruptly buried her face in the quilt, her shoulders slightly shaking with a heavy nasal hum.
The only gas lamp in the bedroom suddenly went out.
Plunged into darkness, the senses are infinitely magnified.
Cynthia felt the cushion under her being trampled up by someone, and she couldn't help but lift her head.
In the darkness, only those rabbit eyes were scarlet and striking.
Kairos stepped on her quilt, crouched in front of her, and squeezed her into the corner between the bedside table and the bed.
"Why are you crying?" He narrowed his eyes slightly and asked this question with a puzzled tone, "You shouldn't be reacting like this."
What! You just wiped your butt and left, is this how you handle human relationships!! Don't you have any self-awareness at all!!
Cynthia clenched her fists, struggling to suppress the urge to hit him, her eyes still misty with unshed tears, and forced out: "What am I supposed to react! What do you want me to react!"
With the darkness blocking her view, she could only see vague outlines except for that pair of red eyes. This made her bold, "You were the one who kissed me first, and then you suddenly left! Are you playing with me?"
She looked really angry, her eyes were swollen and her lips were also swollen, her delicate face was covered with tears.
"You wouldn't want me on your case now." Kael said with a frown.
Cynthia: ???
What did she hear?
Cynthia was stunned.
Kairos stroked her face, wiping away the tears that were about to fall from the corners of her eyes with his fingertips, and said coldly: "You can't bear the consequences yet."
Cynthia blinked her eyes, she wanted to ask what it meant, but felt that she shouldn't be so straightforward, so she asked, "Did you just go take a bath?"
His hand paused slightly on her face before withdrawing, accompanied by his response.
"Uh-huh."
It turned out he went to put out a fire, no wonder when he came back his clothes were disheveled. Did he jump into the stream or which ditch?
Cynthia just imagined it and wanted to laugh, but she tried hard to suppress the corners of her mouth from rising, making her facial expression look a bit strange.
"Then can I sleep on the bed?" she asked in a low voice, "I thought you hated me and wouldn't let me sleep on the bed."
Kairos snorted coldly, "Did you hear what I just said?"
His red eyes suddenly filled with disdain, and he had witnessed her several climbing experiences.
Cynthia sniffled and then hugged her quilt and pounced onto the bed, answering weakly, "I've always had it."
She lay down on one side, immediately turned over and stared at him as he got up and sat down on the bed on the other side.
The bedroom suddenly became quiet. Although they each had their own quilt and were separated by a distance in between, after all, they were on the same bed.
Cynthia quietly moved closer to him and didn't move anymore.
Kairos lay flat on the bed, eyes closed, hands stuck to both sides of his thighs, motionless.
For his stiff corpse-like sleeping posture, Cynthia stared at him for a while before she couldn't help but whisper to him, "Kayus, are you asleep?"
Those closed red eyes opened, he slightly turned his face, with an impatient expression, "Hm?"
Cynthia raised her own question, "Don't you ever turn over when you sleep?"
"You stared at me for an hour, just thinking of such a stupid and brainless question?" Kael gazed at her face, gritting his teeth at the silly question.
