Luckily she inherited all of the princess's memories, otherwise it would be impossible to explain.
Caius stared at her for a while before forcing out a smile that was not quite friendly, "In my case, this kind of problem will never arise."
"Shall we go rabbit hunting? It's just the outermost area, isn't it?" Cynthia winked at him and patted her red hunting attire, saying regretfully: "I specially wore this, if I don't even ride a horse, it will be meaningless."
Her bright blue eyes were full of expectation as she looked up at him. Kael hesitated for a moment, wiped the smile off his face and stood up to head down the stairs.
"The ceremony hasn't ended yet, where are you going?" Cynthia hastily called out to him.
"Hunting." Kael replied flatly.
Cynthia sat there for three seconds, then immediately stood up and happily ran to his side, "Are we the first ones to enter the forest?! Those beasts won't smell your scent and run away directly, right?"
Kairos glanced at her and said, "Even beasts know how to run away, why can't you?"
Isn't this just running away?
Cynthia pointed at her own eyes and smiled in response, "I'm not a beast that only relies on smell to distinguish good from bad, I have eyes and a heart that can see."
Her expression looked silly enough, but strangely, Caius didn't see a hint of deception in her eyes.
This was indeed her true thoughts, and his lips curled up slightly at the corners.
"Don't make me regret it, Cynthia," he said.
"Hmm?" Cynthia turned her face to him, walking down the last step, "Regret what?"
"Make you a saint." Kaelus looked her up and down, his rough tone full of disdain. "Your brain is always stuffed with straw."
Cynthia stopped in her tracks, standing before him with her head tilted back, "Didn't you know from the very beginning that I'm stupid? Yet you still chose me."
She stretched out her hand and poked his hard chest, "You just don't want to admit that you like such a silly me."
Caius's eyes narrowed, a stern glint rising in them as he grasped her hand firmly, his voice harsh with emphasis. "Xin Cia, you have indeed succeeded in arousing my desire, but that is all - it does not give you license to overstep your bounds!"
45% almost half of the progress bar is no longer like, what is it?
Cynthia really wanted to mock him, always hurting people he liked, his brain was full of straw.
She will definitely make him clearly realize how wrong and distorted his thoughts are.
In response to Kyrios' severe rebuke, Cynthia was not at all displeased, but instead drew closer to him, stood on tiptoe, and asked a serious question, "I am willing to offer you all my loyalty."
"But what if one day I never offend you again, would you be happy?"
"This will be the most correct decision you've ever made." His tone was cold and detached, but his suppressed expression didn't quite match the firmness of his voice.
"Uh-huh, I see. But I'm not quite there yet." Cynthia nodded and dropped the subject, "I think we should find a horse now, Principal Norman is almost done speaking."
She didn't want to delve deeper into the conversation, so she pretended to be very casual. Kael suppressed some of his emotions and listened to her say that it couldn't be done. He suddenly felt a sense of relaxation, which welled up from the bottom of his heart but was ruthlessly suppressed by him.
Their horse was one that Kaylus had casually unhitched from a carriage.
In Cynthia's memory, the princess was a skilled horseback rider and had performed well in a solo ride during the attack by Lays, but she was too flustered and the outcome wasn't great.
The black glossy stallion was too high for her, although quiet with Kayser standing beside it, she couldn't climb up!
This is a bit awkward, Cynthia turned her head to look at the seemingly smiling Kaelus behind her and said with a raised corner of her mouth: "In the past, I always had a stool to step on, but now I can't get up by myself!"
Her body was only 16 years old after all, and her development was incomplete. Without the divine technique, her physical strength naturally differed greatly.
Caius may have been motivated by a pang of conscience, or perhaps he thought that her undignified display in public would also shame him; he walked up behind her, placed his hands on her waist and easily lifted her onto the horse's back.
Cynthia sat firmly on her face and took over the whip he handed over.
She leaned forward, stroking the horse's face and whispering a few words in its ear before grasping the reins tightly and urging it on with a squeeze of her legs.
The horse let out a loud whinny and suddenly darted out.
Cynthia slightly adjusted her sitting posture and tried to ride in the way she remembered, and soon got used to it.
She ran a lap around the periphery of the ceremony, just as Principal Norman finished his speech. She rode her horse through the crowd to his side and asked him for a bow and arrow.
Many students' eyes were focused on her face and that one head of luxuriant golden hair.
There is disdain and there is admiration.
Cynthia was used to such gazes, and with a bow and arrow on her back, she joked with Principal Norman, "If I were to hunt down a bear and bring it back, would you give me a diploma?"
Principal Norman looked at the young man riding a horse slowly behind her and said seriously: "There are adults here, you probably can't hunt bears. I hope Miss Cynthia stays away from the students a bit. Tonight, I'll invite you to have roasted bear paws."
"Haha, deal." Cynthia smiled and glanced back at Kael, who had cleared a path wherever he went, with no one daring to get close to him.
Cynthia turned her horse's head, raised the whip and rode past Caius shoulder to shoulder, she threw him a smile and rushed into the forest first.
As long as she is on the periphery, there will be no problem, so she just stays on the periphery.
Caius followed her at a leisurely pace, his eyes expressionless and bored.
The lush green forest, the ferns are as tall as half a person, redwoods and maples, as well as numerous oaks, cluster here, and the aerial roots hanging down from the banyan trees form natural walls.
Some trees with rotten roots fell in the thicket, Cynthia tightened the reins of her thoroughly trained horse, which jumped over the trunk and stepped into the soft earth.
Everything here is perfect, no countless skyscrapers and holographic projections, beautiful is not enough to describe this forest.
Cynthia ran for a while and felt that she should no longer affect those students. She gradually stopped and wandered in the forest.
Soon she found a wild rabbit.
The whole body is gray with short hair, and the fluffy round tail is erected. A bunch of ferns are gnawed in the mouth, and a pair of red rabbit eyes stare straight at both sides.
She picked up the bow and arrow, getting used to the weight in her hand for a moment, then somewhat clumsily loaded a copper arrow onto it. She raised it high, narrowing one eye to take aim.
The distance is not far, about 50 meters, and with her muscle memory, it shouldn't be too difficult to hit the target.
Better late than never
