Cynthia pouted and leaned closer to him, "I'm going to sleep, goodnight."
She closed her eyes and pulled the quilt over her head, blocking out that line of sight.
Half an hour later, she quietly lifted the quilt and stuck out her head, calling out to Kael twice.
This time, she couldn't get a response anymore.
Nor was he asleep, but simply too lazy to bother with her.
Cynthia, who didn't know that Kieros didn't need sleep, took this as a sign that he was asleep. She stealthily reached under the bed with her hand and into his quilt, and similarly moved her own body from her quilt to his.
Compared to the chilly feeling on her side, Kael's quilt was like a big furnace, which made her breathe comfortably and sleep with satisfaction in his arms.
Let him be like a corpse, as long as she is comfortable.
All night long, she was clearly aware of Kyrios' hands stuck to both sides of her thighs, and how tightly his fists were clenched.
The moonlight flows in like water and spills onto the bedside.
Cynthia's sleeping posture was really bad, she had been moving restlessly all night, and several times she almost crawled over his chest and fell directly to the ground.
Kaius couldn't take it anymore, he really wanted to throw her down and be done with it, but his eyes darted to the hardwood floor without a soft carpet, so in the end he only chose to hold her firmly against his chest with his arm, locking her upper body tightly, thus avoiding a disastrous head-bashing bloodshed.
He didn't need sleep, but he felt extremely tired.
Cynthia was awakened by Kael, who at the first light of dawn, without hesitation, pulled off her covers and ordered her to get up quickly.
Thinking that today was the hunting season of that school, Cynthia rolled over on her bed and got up with a reluctant expression.
That faintly resentful expression inadvertently invited Kael's ridicule, "It's you who had to come, Cynthia. Don't make that face, hurry up and get down."
She yawned, looking at the refurbished Kais with a bewildered expression on her face. Her soft and gentle voice was slightly hoarse, "Are we going hunting too?"
"If you don't hurry up, you won't even be able to catch a rabbit." Kael's cold and hard tone softened slightly.
"Roast rabbit tonight?" Her dazed blue eyes suddenly lit up, and she sprang into action, jumping out of bed and heading to the bathroom, "I didn't eat enough yesterday!"
Kairos rubbed his brow, his eyes filled with fatigue.
In just a few minutes, Cynthia changed into the red hunting suit that Joe had prepared for her, which was paired with white tight pants and long boots. She tied up all of her golden hair on top of her head with a lace ribbon.
She didn't wear any extra accessories on her body and simply walked downstairs like that.
It wasn't until daytime that Cynthia found out where Kyogre had gone last night.
The living room on the first floor has floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, it's a typical sunroom. Behind it is a creek with clear water that you can see to the bottom, and a large patch of green lawn. The view is exceptionally beautiful, unfortunately it was too dark last night and she didn't get to see it.
He really jumped into the fire.
Cynthia's mouth corners rose, although she was forced to get out of bed, but her mood in the morning was exceptionally perfect.
A simple breakfast had already been placed on the table, made and sent over by a peasant woman from next door.
Because they have to take care of Cynthia as a person, Anthony and others are really worried, and these details are all taken into consideration.
A little milk and fine wheat bread filled her belly, then Cynthia got on the carriage with Kayus, heading to a nearby hunting ground newly planned by him.
"Do all these students have to kill a lion each? I think there are too many of them, how can the forest provide so many ferocious beasts in one day?" She leaned on the window frame, watching with interest the student carriages that were also heading to the hunting grounds.
Although they were seven or eight meters away from her, it didn't stop her curiosity.
Sitting opposite them was Professor Norman.
I heard Karius came in person, he had been waiting at the door early on.
Being with him, Norman was both tense and honored, hearing Cynthia's question, he was happy to answer for her.
"The hunting season lasted for a whole half month, they had enough time and it wasn't necessarily about fierce beasts only. The Eternal Night Forest has many precious herbs and necessities for alchemy. The graduation assessment isn't based on just one aspect."
"Then we can stay here for half a month?!" Cynthia turned around to look at Kael, her eyes sparkling with excitement. He only responded in a low voice, "One week."
She clapped her hands happily, with no disappointment on her face, "Well, a week is pretty good too."
All the students gathered in a huge hunting ground that had not yet entered the forest, only on the outskirts, next to a farmhouse's granary.
The ground is covered with wildflowers and weeds, and on either side are temporary stands in the shape of an arc.
This will be the starting point for the hunting season.
The carriages all stopped outside, except for Caius', which drove in and came to a stop under the highest and best viewing platform.
Principal Norman bid farewell to the two of them temporarily and walked onto the large wooden stage that had been set up, ready to kick off this year's Hunting Season ceremony.
The arrival of Kaido turned what was supposed to be a leisurely hunting graduation activity into an intense competition for everyone.
Whether they were noble students or commoner students, no one wanted to miss the opportunity to show off in front of Dark God.
None of them dared to turn their heads and look at the people sitting in the stands, but everyone's heart was on the best seat in the stands.
Today's weather is very good, it's a heavily overcast day, there's no scorching sun, and the breeze feels very comfortable.
Cynthia sat on a wooden bench, in front of her a table laden with fruit and pastries.
"What did Anthony usually do when he came to sit in?" Cynthia picked up a small tomato and stuffed it into her mouth, the sweet tomato juice bursting inside her mouth, making her squint.
"Drive out what shouldn't be on the hunting grounds." Kael's expression was uninterested in the hunt before him.
Cynthia turned her face and found out, she asked with a tilted chin, "Are you involved in this kind of activity?"
"Undoubtedly." He had lived too long, so long that there were no longer many new things that could enter his eyes.
"Then take me rabbit hunting, and we'll have rabbit meat for dinner tonight!"
Caius gave her a cold look, "Isn't the imperial hunting grounds enough for you to play with? Why are you still interested in such boring things."
What a deadly question.
Cynthia's body was a bit stiff, but her face remained unchanged. "After becoming the Holy Girl, I won't take lives anymore."
"Guangming Shengnu values benevolence, and since I want to have a compassionate heart, of course it's not okay to even kill a rabbit." She sighed.
Oh, I'll probably have an update this afternoon, unless something unexpected happens.
