Chapter 59: Elf King Austin

"You're still alive..." It took her a long time to awkwardly say this sentence.

"The portal's location was off, and I got hurt and crashed into a tree." Austin reached out to stroke the soft fur on White Deer's face, then explained softly, "It took you for a spirit, one of my kind."

  No wonder...

Cynthia touched her hair, which was loose and scattered today, with her ears buried in the strands. It's no wonder that deer would make a mistake, only to blame her for being born too beautiful.

She stood up and took a few steps back, "Well, if you're not dead, then leave. I'm going back."

"Maybe you need to support me a bit." There was a hint of embarrassment in his light gray eyes, and it wasn't until then that Cynthia noticed the blood flowing out from under the silver cloak, which she hadn't seen when she was crouching behind the white deer.

It seems like it's quite badly hurt.

"Alright." Cynthia walked over and bent down to pull his hand, but missed the flash of cunning in the eyes of the person in front of her.

Austin stared intently at her pale neck hidden in her curly hair, his hand reaching out.

Just as Cynthia was about to bump into him, a thick black fog suddenly lit up behind her, and before she could react, she was wrapped around the waist by a hand and dragged backwards, colliding with a solid chest.

And the handsome man in front of her, along with his deer, was directly overturned and crashed into a sturdy ancient tree.

The familiar scent of mint wafted into her nostrils, and Cynthia immediately looked up at the figure shrouded in black mist, exclaiming: "Kaythus! What are you doing!"

  "Foolish!"

Caius burst out of the formation and angrily shouted two words at her.

As soon as he appeared, all the fireflies used to create the atmosphere scattered and flew far away.

The light in the forest turned black, and the white deer that fell to the ground with its owner was the most eye-catching.

Cynthia pouted and retorted in dissatisfaction: "I'm just helping! Where's the stupidity? You even kicked someone away!"

"Helping Austin out?" Kael's lips curled up in a mocking smile, his icy and sarcastic gaze fixed on the person slowly getting up from behind the tree bark, "I think you're eager to die."

"Wait." Cynthia's tone rose a degree as she reacted to the name, "Austin?"

If the Elf King hasn't changed his name in three thousand years, it seems he's called Austin.

  This damn luck of hers.

"It turned out to be Kairos' pet."

Austin, who couldn't even stand up just now, somehow returned to the edge of the water pool and stood upright. His hands were placed on his abdomen, and his dirty robe was refreshed from head to toe. Although his face was still pale, his smile looked very kind.

"If I hadn't come, you'd have been eaten already!" Kael's scarlet eyes gleamed with ferocity, his taut face suffused with intense anger.

He looked as if he was ready at any moment to dash over to Austin and twist his head off.

  Eat?

Cynthia shuddered and immediately shrunk into Kael's arms, clinging to him like a koala, her expression turning sorrowful.

  Beautiful things are indeed poisonous!

In front of her was a vampire named Lais who wanted to eat her, and behind her was the Elf King who also wanted to eat her. Was she some kind of great tonic?

"What's wrong with eating me?" she asked tremulously.

Kai looked at her with a gaze as if looking at a rustic bun, and said disdainfully, "Where have you seen all the books?"

"In my head." Cynthia replied shakily.

His eyes seemed to devour her.

  How scary...

"I'll recover quickly if I eat you." Austin smiled, explaining her confusion. "If I had known you were Khaos' pet, I wouldn't have eaten you."

"The sprite tribe was born from the corpse of a giant, they will absorb nutrients from your body like plants." Kaelos became impatient as a walking encyclopedia.

Forgive her for never being serious about reading books...

"I was wrong, next time I meet him, I'll definitely push him into the water and run away with my head down." Cynthia immediately whispered to admit her mistake.

Austin's smile didn't change, and he wasn't affected by her words at all. He just raised his hand slightly and pressed down again, trying to ease Kael's defensive heart.

"Take it easy, Kael. At least find me a place to stay for tonight, okay? You know it's not a big deal or I wouldn't have come to you."

Cynthia felt that this would sound like these two people have a close relationship.

But the fact that their tribe's spirits live so well in Tamriel also indirectly proves this.

Caius smiled coldly and didn't respond to Austin's words, dragging Cynthia away and leaving him alone with a deer standing in place.

"Merciless indeed." Austin's eyes only showed pain after he walked away, he rubbed his abdomen and sat up beside the white deer, speaking softly, "Let's go, we'll visit Kael for a bit."

Cynthia was thrown in front of the room door by Khaos and returned to the castle in a few blinks.

"Go wash up and stay in your room, don't come out."

He left after saying one sentence.

It's obvious that Austin will be here tonight.

Cynthia looked down at her disheveled appearance and said softly, "But I haven't had dinner yet."

Kairos's footsteps stopped, and he coldly instructed the air: "Go prepare a copy to be sent to the bedroom."

It seems this message can reach Qiao's ears directly.

"Aren't you going to eat with me?" Cynthia asked loudly from behind him.

Caius's furrowed brow was quickly smoothed out by his fingers, "I'll be back later."

When she heard he was coming, Cynthia didn't bother him anymore and walked into the bedroom with a satisfied heart.

But how did Austin suddenly teleport to Kayus' doorstep?

Unless he left early this morning to look for Austin...

Is it because of the giant's affair?

Cynthia could only guess so much.

Joe soon brought in a sumptuous and exquisite dinner.

A salad, a pat of buttered bread and a small bowl of meat soup.

Xinxiya, who had just finished washing up and changed into her nightgown, immediately praised her, "Qiao, the things you make are really delicious! I've never tasted such great craftsmanship here before."

When they were alone, Qiao finally looked at her with a straight eye. Except for the time when she introduced her name, it was the first time she took the initiative to speak to her, "I haven't moved in a long time."

Cynthia took a bite of her salad and blew a rainbow fart. "That's also awesome!"

Qiao's paralyzed face showed a hint of softening, and Cynthia didn't miss the faint joy rising in her eyes.

  Qiao likes cooking?

She found a way to get along with her then.

"Qiao, can you make lemon fish?" Cynthia stirred the meat soup in her bowl. "How about I help you make lemon fish tomorrow? I want to make it for Kaisa."

"Grown-ups won't eat it." Hui replied quickly, and his expression fell again.

Obviously, she couldn't pursue her interests and hobbies with Karius who didn't eat.

  "Then we'll eat it ourselves."

Perhaps it was Cynthia's dazzling smile that made Joe avert his gaze, his cheeks slightly flushed as he nodded in agreement.
