Third Person POVOrario.
...
...
Lucius was once agaiering the pce where Ouranos spent most of his life in this world, more than anywhere else. Sitting on his throne, Ouranos awaited him in the dimly lit room, illuminated by numerous torches. Fels had brought Lucius there after meeting him at the entrance, and together they walked to face Ouranos, who was staring at Lucius with his usual serious expression.
"You have finally appeared. It is time to decide your mission," he said in a calm tone.
"Very well, go ahead," Lucius replied calmly.
"Before that, you are aware that you said some rather dangerous things during the trial, correct?" Ouranos questioned.
"I know. I figured you'd bring this up sooner or ter. You already knew about that group's existence, didn't you?" Lucius responded.
Ouranos nodded in respoo the mortal. "Yes. I know some of their activities, at least part of them, as that group of gods has always been very mysterious. However, you seem to know quite a bit about them, which surprised me when you mentiohem," Ouranos remarked.
"Well, do you think Evilus appeared out of nowhere? Obviously, I khey were being funded from outside Orario to try to destroy the tower. They want the world to desd into chaos as in aimes... I know some things about them because, in my homend, they left many traces, and I iigated them many years ago. But, if you're asking for their location, I 't tell you," Lucius said, while Ouranos nodded.
"Well, Evilus is out of the picture now, but we still have to deal with them in some way. We don't fully uand their objectives, and, surely, they won't remain idle after finding out what happened in this city," Ouranos decred. Although Lucius had some idea of what they sought, he remained silent about it.
"So, my mission would be to search for them?" Lucius raised an eyebrow.
"Not necessarily. You know that, as you mentioned, in aimes, even before the gods came to this world, the Dungeoed into the world, with various monsters spreading across it. tless warriors tried to free the world from these untrolble beasts, and most of humanity fell. It was then that we gods desded into this world and grahe falna to the races to reverse the situation," Ouranos began to expin.
"Although we mao eliminate most of them, some monsters avoided destru and have been hiding for a very, very long time. Your mission is simple: seek out at least three level 6 monsters scattered across the ti," he decred, while Lucius was already imagining what the mission would entail.
"All right, that be done. However, I don't think it will be so quick," Lucius ented. After all, these were legendary monsters, almost akin to Antares. Even if they had been in ruins or hidden for hundreds of years, they might be dormant or even attag people from the shadows while avoiding drawing attention. They were intelligent enough to survive unnoticed for so long.
"Fels will provide all the missioails. Furthermore, I'd like you to gather more information about that group while you're away, as they may reappear soon," Ouranos said in a darker tone.
"All right. I'll deal with these monsters and also gather information about that group. Since I, too, care about the city and this world," Lucius replied.
"Excellent. You're dismissed. Just update your falna data, as your situation iy is somewhat plicated. People and the gods want real information about you and your familia. Hestia must e to the Guild to provide the information and for an importaing," Ouranos requested.
"All right. I'll talk to Goddess Hestia," Lucius said, and Ouranos nodded.
"Before I leave," Lucius suddenly spoke, "I want to know about the slum area that will now be under my name. Will the destroyed territory be mine?" Lucius asked.
"What do you pn to do with it?" Ouranos responded.
"Well, I'm sure you already have something pnned and made me the scapegoat, didn't you?" Lucius narrowed his eyes.
"You don't o think that way. But that area would be very suitable for building a new part of the city," Ouranos expined, finally admitting.
"And this part would be for the Xenht?" Lucius guessed.
It was clear to him what Ouranos wanted with all of this. After all, the whole idea of selling the slum area seemed like a well-crafted pn by that god. He nning something, and the most obvious thing would be t the Xenos to the surface. But not at the moment, as public opinion would not accept them after what had happehe idea of intelligent monsters emerging seemed frightening and bizarre to the people of Orario. However, it was smart of Ouranos to set aside an area for them.
"Maybe. But we'll discuss that iure," Ouranos said at the end, avoiding going into further detail.
"All right. But sidering the debt you py shoulders, I pn to use the area for some things. I'll leave that for when I return. So, I'll be going. See you ter, Ouranos," Lucius cluded, finishing with a nod before simply telep away. He returo the Hestia Familia's home ao rest.
The day, there was a otion from Bell, who was euphoric as he annouhat he had reached level 4, which even surprised Lucius.
"Dammit! Just when I thought I had gained an edge over the kid, he goes and catches up with me," Lucius remarked, though with a small smile.
Still, he knew his stats far exceeded those of a level 4, even one as abnormal as Bell. In truth, he was already at a level where he could reach levels 6 and 7, pg him among the most powerful in Orario at the moment.
Even so, he was happy that Bell had reached level 4, as it brought positive energy to the whole family that m. Bell was shoutiedly around the house like an overjoyed teenager.
Later, after Hestia updated the falna of the Familia members, more surprises emerged. Other members had also leveled up. Lucius then asked to speak with Hestia privately after all the excitement.
They went to the office, where he began discussing his mission and the request to update the Familia's falna, whieeded to be delivered to the Guild. He also removed his own falna, as it needed updating as well. He could no longer hide his stats, and they would clearly frighten many people ohey saw his points reag over 2,000—a figure even Ouranos didn't know.
Afterward, he left the mansion while the family tinued celebrating. He headed to Twilight Manor, as he had an appoi with Riveria that day.
Lucius decided to take Riveria outside Orario, as he wao avoid the city for a while. He didn't want to hear disparaging ents and risk reag violently in her presehey ended up in an area full of farms, staying there for a while. Riveria, with her natural affinity for nature as a forest elf, didn't mind. Lucius didn't care much either, preferring the calm of nature over a bustling, noisy city, even though he had spent much of his life in a castle.
"So we have to hunt level 6 monsters… I thought this would be a difficult punishment," Riveria remarked. Hunting level 6 monsters wasn't that bad, after all.
"You know it's not so simple to find them. Some people spend years searg. But even so, I don't think it will take that long with my abilities," Lucius said calmly.
Riveria nodded, and the two tialking for a while longer. Lucius noticed Riveria's signals, clearly indig she wanted more than just a versation in the middle of the river. As they say, elves are quite reserved, but when they give themselves to someohey are extremely intense. Lucius didn't mind spending the entire day with the elven princess.
By the end of the day, Lucius returo Orario near nightfall, taking Riveria back to Twilight Manor. Wheuro his own home, he fouia looking quite depressed as soon as he entered, standing in front of the entire Familia. Although she was g, everyone around had varying expressions.
" I know what happened? Did someone die on the way to the Guild?" Lucius asked, raising an eyebrow, notig the stramosphere within the Familia.
"Lucius, our familia has risen in the rankings! A very high ranking! We're only behind Loki, Freya, and two other familias!" Hestia excimed, almost in a panic.
"Ah, damn… Does this mean we'll have to pay more taxes?" Lucius grumbled, letting out a low sigh.
"Not just that, but we also o take on missions in deeper floors! And you won't even be here, sihe deadline is in three months!" Hestia expined, clearly worried about the situation. It was uandable, sidering her familia would have to veo the deeper floors of the dungeon after achieving such strength.
"Well, it was to be expected. But I believe you'll do fine. Just be careful not to destroy the dungeon and create angernaut," Lucius said casually. Everyone seemed uneasy at his words, but he doubted that would happen without Evilus around, as most of them had been killed that night.
"Do you think we do this, Lord Lucius?" Haruhime asked hesitantly.
Lucius smiled. "Of course you . You've already been to the deep floors when we escorted the Xenos. So, you're somewhat familiar with it. If anything happens, you have our friends down there and a safe zone where you rest. Just be careful not to approach the Boss. I don't think you're ready to face it yet," he warned, and the others nodded silently.
"Anyway, I'm going to get some sleep. I'll take care of a few things since I have a few days before heading out with Riveria. So, all I say is good luck to you. And Cassandra, you're essential for the dive. Any visions you have, make sure to inform everyohey also have a duty to believe in your words," Lucius cluded before leaving.
He theo his room, needing to prepare his things before leaving Orario. There were also several dots ing his projects that tention. He began w on them by purchasing a multiple goblin summoning spell.
In his room, he created a swarm of goblins and quickly evolved them using the same spell he had used on Riekling. A multitude of house elves emerged, ready to assist him. Lucius was satisfied with this type of help—it would undoubtedly be very useful.
