Chapter 3

Ahh! I jumped out of the bed that I was laying in in surprise.

'Where am I?' I slowly got up and endured the pain. Those

scum really didn't hold back. Looking around the room,

it seemed that I was in the nurses office. I was surprised.

Someone carried my fat*ss to the nurses office? How?

I'm around 200 pounds! In my 2nd year of middle school!

I laughed bitterly as I was shaming myself. Looking at the

clock, it was 4 PM. School should have ended now. Time

to head home. I was going to see my parents that I haven't

seen in years! My heart was beating fast.

  ***

I slowly inhaled the fresh air surrounding my house. This

old wooden house. On the outside, it doesn't look like

it was something you could live in, but on the inside, it

was just a normal house. Some ants here and there,

  but nothing much.

  "Mom! Dad! I'm home!"

  ""Hey, Chun!""

I threw my backpack on the floor, and hugged my parents

  tightly.

"What's with all the excitement? Did something happen?

  Are you okay?"

As expected, my father was always worried about me. It's

not that my mother wasn't, it's just that my father was always

the first one to say something. In my past life, I didn't care too

much about my parents, but that had changed now.

  "I just missed you guys."

Those words came out in a sad tone. My parents looked at

me with a surprised and confused face. It's because I never had

treated them like this. I normally brushed off their affection and

played video games all day after school. Atleast my grades were

  alright.

"Mother, Father, can you please give me 40,000 won?"

'Damn. I felt like I had ruined the mood. Maybe I shouldn't have said

this so quick? Well, it's not like I'm using it for anything wasteful. I need

that much money to get a gym membership.'

My parents looked at me in a confused way, and thought I would

spend the money on video games.

"What do you need it for?"

My father replied in a really serious tone. His face was

  stern.

"I want to get a gym membership. Right now, my lifestyle

is very unhealthy, so I want to change."

My parents immediately become surprised and filled

with joy. At some times, they probably thought that I

was doing nothing good with my life and making bad

  choices.

"Alright. I'll give it to you in a few minutes. Just go

to your room for now. Your mother and father have

  to cook dinner first."

  "Okay!"

I was pretty excited. 'Time to get shredded in a few

months!' I looked at fitness videos on the internet.

It was not what I expected. Damn. It's a much longer

process and takes years. I'll need to stay in a caloric

deficit for a while to shred off 2 pounds a week. So,

I have to eat 2000 calories and hit the gym? Honestly,

I didn't care about how long it takes to get the results.

I just wanted to improve my health.

I got up from my chair and stretched my back. Being

obese really sucks, huh. I looked at the calendar and

was surprised. The last day of school is in two days!

Summer in my school is around 2 months, so I should

be able to lose around 8 pounds a month. Well, you never

know. I might lose more. I dressed up in bagged pants, a

plain black shirt, and a jacket with a large hoodie to cover

my face. I didn't want anyone seeing me while I run to the

  gym.

  "Chun~! Come!"

  "Mother, Father!"

They handed me 40,000 won! Just like that? I was amazed

at the amount of money I was holding in my hands. I don't

think I've ever had this much without it being taken away.

"Thank you! I'll be heading to the gym now."

The gym was about a 15 to 20 minute walk. 'I'll just get some

cardio in and do a light jog to the gym. I don't want to do too

much, or else I'll get too tired.' If I got too tired, I won't even be

able to do anything in the gym.

  ***

  "Haa.. Haa.."

I was gasping for air. I only did a 10 minute jog, but I realized

that I had overestimated my stamina. I was a bit tired, but I could

still push myself to hit the weights.

  ***

I finished everything at the gym. I did a chest, triceps, and shoulder

workout. As a beginner, I had to start out slow. If you are a beginner

in the fitness industry, you may be really motivated, but you can't just

max out on every exercise you do. If you do that, you'll have a greater

risk of getting injured. You have to work on form and technique. I opened

the door and greeted my parents. I ate a light meal of chicken breast with

some rice and hit my daily caloric goal of 2000! A felt accomplished, like

nothing could stop me! I did some more research on body recomposition.

( Author Note: Body Recomposition, to keep it short, is basically going from

fat to fit. Normally, you would have to cut, bulk, and then cut. But for beginners,

since their bodies are not used to putting on muscle, losing weight, or any

physical activity, Body Recomposition can be achieved. )

As a kid, I was actually quite smart. Studying wasn't too hard because

I had photographic memory. I decided to study my next year material

and material for high school. I did this for 3 hours to let the food in

my stomach digest. If I sleep right after a meal, it's very bad for my

  health. And yours.

  ***

I woke up on my bed with aches all over my body. I was sore.

It was not only from the workouts at the gym, but also because

of the bruises that I had from the school gang beating me up.

I made it through my days of school and luckily didn't get beaten

up. I was very fortunate, but also pittying the other student they

were picking on. Dammit. If I could do something I would gladly

beat their a*ses. 'Maybe when I lose weight I could throw a solid

  punch.'
