Noting to herself that the others didn’t mention another meeting, Sylvie took their non-answer as a hint to drop the subject. “Funny you ask that question, assuming that the plex was far enough out of the city ter, Amos is residing with a newborn that has a shelter in it.” She g Casey. “I wonder why I didn’t see this? I mean the link to Vera and our newly made Cupcake Retreat.”
Releasing Sylvie from her loving grasp, Casey looked around the Mill grounds and found a few empty sandbags. “Vera will love it, I am not sure what Amos will think.” Casey k and began filling the bags she found with bloodstoatum wasn’t far off guys, we probably his.” Casey poio the other sandbags. “Just a thought since we are leaving the area.”
After filling enough bags so that every vampire had at least one filled pletely for prote, Sylvie headed to her motorcycle. “If Vera’s pce is promised then I do have another pce, we just have to be qui getting there.” She poio the Boulevard, the main road that passed through the burning town, and then sighed. “The fastest way would have been down there, but I suspect that the various fire departments in the area will have the whole city blocked for entry.” Sylvie smiled. “Follow me, dies alemen, I have the back way…assuming that it isn’t burning as well.”
“Most of us parked over the hill, just out of sight.” Kynthia quickly offered. “We didn’t know what we were walking into.” She gazed at the others she’d arrived with. “Freaky if you think about it. You were the only ohat rolled right into the parking lot. The rest of us just watched the pce.”
Nodding to Kynthia briefly, Sylvie got a pyfully wicked look in her moonlit eyes. “Casey…mmm..” She purred and then with a swift move forward, scooped her partner into her arms and carried her back to her bike. “Mine.”
“Oh hell yeah!” Casey held onto their filled sandbags with one arm and tossed her free one around Sylvie’s neck. “Wherever we go o be private at this point, you she-devil.” Casey dangled her feet and saw the looks oher vampire's faces, minus Brienne who was steady listening to another podcast.
Within a few minutes, Sylvie had Casey firmly ed around her waist and the rest of the cil following behind her in their own dark-tinted vehicles that made it look a lot like the FBI were headed for a particurly bad event. When Sylvie turned onto Brander’s Bridge road, she took full advantage of how the road curved by testing the limits of her motorcycle. Much like she’d done in the parking lot a night or two before, she raced the mae close to its top speed while taking the turns at just the right speed so she didn’t send her and Casey tumbling off into the woods that surrouhe little two-ne road.
“Having fun, treasure-mamma?” Casey asked Sylvie pyfully.
While she’d half paid attention to the HUD from her updated CPU, it wasn’t really the road Sylvie was thinking about. It was the fate of the other cil members that she’d just e to appreciate over the course of the night that made her stomach tighten up and worry settle in her mind.
-What if I ’t get these bracers? What if Archaios Enas pursued us while we gather the items needed, sium is no loepping in to help resolve the issue? What…what…what.-
A myriad of unanswerable questiohe elder vampire deeper into thought aional turmoil at the idea that she’d lose any of them, especially Casey. It was about a minute before Sylvie finally registered the fun little name Casey had cobbled together, instantly ging her mood. “Treasure-Mamma?” Sylvie light-heartedly ughed, “That’s a new one, and no…I am not having all that much fun.” Sylvie tilted the bike to the right as they took a hard turn and caused the tires to squeal their displeasure. “I am deep in my head w if we should just take off and fet the whole thing, let the creatures have the area a up somewhere like Australia. Archaios Enas alone frightens me and other than Vivienne, I haven’t been scared of anything in over my two hundred years.” Cheg her mirrors Sylvie backed off her accelerator ahe others catch up. “I am mostly thinking about you, my baby-button.”
“I am with you no matter what, Sylvie.” Casey soothed and id her head on her mistress's back. “I know I suggested it ba Rid, but after seeing what is happening and that the book distinctly talks about the sun and moon…” Casey hesitated for a quitake of air, “...ah know that we fit that prophecy, if that is what this is, to the letter.” Closing her eyes so she could get a better sense of what Sylvie was feeling, Casey followed her instind sniffed her lover deeply. “They will burn city after city and hunt every vampire without stopping.” Instantly, Casey knew she o TASTE what her lover felt. She’d heard Vivienne expin it and eve deep-rooted emotions within the people she’d fed from. Casey pulled off her helmet and a few seds and fht fang clicks ter, Casey smelled her lover until she found the stro iron-den pool of blood. Scraping her fangs along Sylvie’s spine, Casey sheared open her lover’s blouse as though tailor scissors were being used. With a heavy pressed kiss to Sylvie’s semi-dark skin, Casey drove her razor-sharp fangs into Sylvie’s side and moao herself as Sylvie’s skin sounded like fingernails lightly scratg, then the subtle pop that matched the idea of a bottle had been opened.
Ued yet certainly wele, Sylvie gasped and tried to say something to Casey the moment her clothing was ripped open. She’d just turo the southerion of Brander’s Bridge road when Sylvie’s skin started burning with the anticipation of what was to e. Every time Sylvie shared her precious blood with her progeny and partner, it sent waves of euphoria along with the idea of nourishing Casey careening sensually through her body. Sylvie backed off the speed on her motorcycle and made sure that they were cruising at a normal speed when it happened. A warm kiss, a l of needles on her skin and then the iable puncture sent sparks dang in Sylvie’s mind begging for her lover to take what she needed. “Yessss…” Sylvie purred into her microphone and struggled to maintain her trol of the bike that hurled them forward. Without thinking about it, Sylvie widened her legs and ground her hips. “...Your fangs are…mmmghmmm…they make my body sing…mmmy..my..my f-f-fang fl-fl-flower…” Sylvie took one hand off of her handlebars and guided Casey’s hand to her hidde, then patted Casey’s hand before she attempted to watch the road.
