Talkiween Casey and Cisco faded away and Sylvie found herself quietly focused on the o that had been pguing her for nearly a week. Images of shadewraiths fell harmlessly out of her vision and out of the silent dark of her mind the image of the Mill slowly came into view. Its wood and steel frame creaking as the soothing sound of water poured over the wooden sts. Peeling away the outer walls of the structure, brick by brick, Sylvie imagihe ih its various moving millstones crushing things like and wheat.
e and yellow, a sudden and ued heat clouded the serene vision. What Sylvie sidered the frame of her eyesight was suddenly surrounded by fire. Everything that Sylvie looked at began to char then tumble into bck ash and sediment.
-What are you telling me? Is this real or metaphorical? Are we going to burn down tradition or is this literally pces on fire?-
repced the calm atmosphere that Sylvie initially ceived and unlike many of her visions, her third eye didn’t take her from pce to pce, but allowed her to trol where and what burned. Looking away from the burning millhouse, Sylvie thought about dousing the fire raging in her eyesight. Turning to look at the rge creek that the locals called Swift Creek, Sylvie trated oeady stream of water flowing downhill. All of the brush and soil began to bake, hot fmes leaping from the grass of the shallow creek bank, and ing the old and thick maples and oaks. Uo do its job effectively, the water Sylvie focused on began to boil and steam ahe scorched liquid throughout the city itself. Red-e glows erupted across the horizon and Sylvie stopped her eyesight from making things worse, and looked up for the one answer. An Eclipse.
-If this is real, then the eclipse will be here…If it's you Kigatilik then it will be two that I owe you my hateful friend.-
Stepping out of the mystical dark, Sylvie’s shadewraith stood in direct sight. Fmes leapt from the sides of her eyes and began ing the devilish creature. Watg as Kigatilik urged the fire to keep burning, the beast ughed and walked out of view leaving a small patch of footprints outlined in wicked blue fme. It was when the fmes went from blue to white that Sylvie saw the eclipse that she didn’t really want to see. Blue and white fme melded into little circles and crossed much like a couple doing a waltz on a dance floor.
-So it is real..-
Reeling from the fusing information, Sylvie came out of her meditation when she heard her motorcycle roar to her front door.
“Sylvie, baby?” Casey calmly whispered, being careful not to touch her lover while her eyes were closed. “Mom’s back, and I have expined everything to Cisco.”
Slowly uncurling her legs and stretg her arms, Sylvie took a deep yet useless breath to help her body awaken from the intense few minutes she’d been on the sofa. Opening her eyes, Sylvie saw Casey pying like a child on Cisco’s back. “Mmm, Casey my dear…” Sylvie stood up and did a few stretches and finished her thought, “...I might have to get you into a doctor's office, I think you’ve lost your mind.”
“It is fine, Mistress.” Cisco’s heavenly voice graced the two dy vampires. “She told me that this..” He poio the grinning vampire on his back, “...this would help her adjust so she wouldn’t attack me. So far, she’s trolled her instinct fihink.”
Clearly not believing a word from the two, Sylvie curled her fi Casey. “You said your mother is here?” She watched as her lover shook her head excitedly, then hopped off of Cisco’s giant frame.
“Did you know he’s six foot seven?” Casey giggled.
“Are you sure yay?” Sylvie teased just as the front door opened and brought in a heavy smell of marijuana that seemed to permeate and almost hover in Jennifer’s hair. “Ah, Did you find everything you needed, Jennifer?”
Holding up a few bags, Jennifer nodded. “Yep. Got the clothes I needed and..and well..” She snickered, “..a little more for my personal needs.” Jennifer spun on her heels and then noticed Cisco. “Oh my God.” Jennifer sauntered up to Cisco. “Hello, Mister man.” She grabbed his arm and squeezed the highly developed bicep. “They’re going out and think I am going to stay here alone.” She bit her lip aated briefly before pressing herself into a deep and passionate kiss with Cisbsp; Roughly a mier Jennifer pulled back with a sultry purr and suggested, “I say you and I go out and find something to get into.”
“Mom!” Casey yelled and walked over to her mother. “You ’t just e in here and…” Casey stopped talking the moment braced her mother. “Why do I bother?”
C her mouth with her hands, Sylvie ughed quietly and ehe little kissing show for a few seds, just to see the anger building within Casey. “Jealous?” Sylvie teased and walked over to Jennifer aly acquired her motorcycle keys.
“Nope. Just don’t want to see my mother…you know.” Casey headed for the door. “I will be on the bike, you should ask about the key.”
No sooner had Casey closed the door, than Jeapped Cis his wide shoulder. “Mm…one sed you sexy devil.” Jennifer fanned herself pyfully and looked at Sylvie. “Did she say key?”
Sylvie nodded and showed Jehe bloody paper that Marti. “There’s an image of a key in that bloody mess.” She looked to Cisco, “Do me a favor.”
“Yes, Mistress? I serve at your leisure.” Cisco politely bowed.
Walking to the front door, Sylvie looked back. “If you get Jennifer out of town, that would be best…and watch out flows. I just have a strange…feeling.” Hearing the geingle of keys and a frantid wave from Jennifer garnered Sylvie's attention as she reached for the door. " What's up?"
“The key…here.” Jeook it from her ring and tossed it to Sylvie, “It's a safety deposit box that Twilight Tonight owns.” She slipped her arm around Cisd purred. “It is for Amber.” She giggled, “Don’t ask too many questions about that key or how I got it.” She popped up ooes and gave Cisco a dreamy kiss. “You heard the dy...” Jennifer snickered, “...your mistress…told you to get me out of town.”
Bending down and scooping Jennifer into his arms, Cisco turo face his mistress. “You will have bloodstones delivered just before your cil meeting begins. I have a great amount of dust that is being glued to the bricks and walls as we speak. The Mill, right?”
Sylvie nodded, “That’s the pbsp; Just be careful, my brethren have arrived from all over and they’re not going to be in a good mood thanks to the attacks from the shadewraiths over the course of the st day.” Sylvie slipped the key on her ring and then nervously flipped the group of keys in her hand. “I have one more request. It be where you take Jennifer.” She paused and dug out her phone, sending Cis address. “I hope you know that area.”
“Yes, Mistress I do.” Cisco replied and ran his hand through his hair. “Your tribal nds, Twilight Eagle .” He beamed, “Part of why Martin he Twilight Tonight.”
